Hello! I have another card for the Creative Confetti challenge to Be Inspired by one of the cards posted on the recent sneak peeks of their new stamp release. I was also inspired by cards created by Kelly shown on the right and linked here. I liked her beautiful designs in monochrome tones and the simple layouts. I inked several stamps from Power Poppy Countryside Bouquet Deluxe set with Distress Oxide ink Wilted Violet on White Card Stock. Since I forgot to mask a strip for the sentiment before stamping like Kelly did, I simply stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and attached over the image.

Monochrome with Style
Hello! I have a very simple thank you card stamped with an old pumpkin stamp that I have had many years. I think it is a PSX but it has no markings on the stamp. I have always colored this image and this is the first time I stamped it and just let the stamp details show through in a monochromatic design. I used SU Bravo Burgundy ink on Ivory CS for both the image and Gina K sentiment. I placed on a card base in the same color tones. Simple but elegant.

The Color of Pearl Inspires
Hello! Some times the simplest things are the most beautiful. That is what I think of this card. Yes, it is certainly CAS....no layers, no embellishments, no coloring. Just stamping and heat embossing with Versamark and Gold EP. I did not start out to make a clean and simple card...just turned out that way.
I was trying to think of a card to make for the new Creative Confetti Challenge Power Poppy which is to let the color of your birthstone inspire you to make a creation. My Birthst
one is Pearl or Alexandrite or Moonstone. There are 3 choices. I prefer Pearl so my card is inspired by the color of Pearl. Actually Pearls come in a wide range of natural shades and colors but are generally known to have lustrous creamy white hue. So pearl does not inspire much color. I used some Oyster Pearl CS that has a luminous and lustrous shine-hope you can detect the luster in my photo. I really like this paper and I have been using it sparingly since I do not want to use it up.

Purple Roses and Ribbons
Hello! This card was made for Stamp TV Mix It Up Monday Challenge Just The Month from Cat. We are to make a card using the color that corresponds to our month of birth on the list posted. The color that I am to use is purple, not my most favorite color. I used GKD Old Country Roses and stamped a trio of roses with 3 step stamping and various shades of purple. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Grape Jelly ink. Finished with 2 shades of purple grosgrain ribbons, purple sequins, and purple card base. (Sequins are all purple but appear differently in photo.)

One Layer Ombre
Hello! Taking a break from Holiday cards. Today I am sharing this One Layer Card made with a large Repeat Impressions floral stamp that I heat embossed with White EP on White CS. I then inked this with Distress Oxide ink Faded Jean creating an Ombre effect dark to light. Finished with a single score line and a sentiment. This may become apart of several I will create for a box set of note cards.

Monochromatic Sympathy Card
Hello! I have another quick card for today. This is a Sympathy card that I made for the challenge at The House That Stamps Built DCC96. I am trying to complete all their challenges for the month of September. I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday to design the card. I used Repeat Impressions Lily of the Valley stamp with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink on white CS and colored with markers. I placed this on a mat of Graphic 45 Pattern Paper from Secret Garden Pad and used the green paper from the same pad to complete my card. The sentiment was from GKD. Used white gell pen on the flowers.

Summer Fun
Summer finally arrived last week! With that in mind, I created this summer theme card using the Sketch below from Retro Rubber Challenge #65. It turned out being monochromatic since I only used Memento Toffee Crunch ink for stamping the Repeat Impressions Stamps (Sand Castle and Sentiment) and also for sponging the raised areas that I embossed with Spellbinders Impressabilities Sea Scape. I used Kraft and Ivory Card stocks. I have had the Repeat Impressions stamps since August 2015 ...I know because I used them on a card posted on my blog then.

I thought this would fit the challenge at Mod Squad Challenge Blog this week-Pattern Your Paper.

Splash of Color for Power Poppy
Power Poppy is having a series of challenges for World Card Making Day. The first challenge is “WOOT WOOT” FOR TUTS! This challenge involves scrolling back through any of the Inspire Me Monday Tutorials on Power Poppy Blog and giving them a whirl. I chose Julie Koerber's Tutorial Splash of Color posted August 11, 2014.
I used Power Poppy stamps Azalea (same as Julie) and Geraniums Take 2 sentiments that I stamped with Memento Lady Bug ink on watercolor paper and colored shadows with Copics R00 and R0000. I followed Julie's directions on coloring and splattering with dots. I love how this came out. I finished using a GKD White CS card base and a layer of SU Pattern Paper with a red satin ribbon. I also stamped an individual Azalea and fussy cut it and popped up on the ribbon.
Thanks to Julie for her great tutorial.

Bear Hug with Love
Hello! I have a hard time making a black and white card but I like the results of this one that I made for the challenge at The House That Stamps Built to create with Black, White and Gray. All stamps used are from Repeat Impressions. I wanted to use the Embossing Folder Leafy Tree by Darice with the Bear Hug couple sitting underneath but the bear stamp faces the wrong way. I decided to change their direction by doing reverse stamping or sometimes called mirror stamping. This I had never done before so it took some trial and error before I had the image in reverse that I was happy with. I colored the bears with Copics N 0, 2, 4 and then created a furry texture using a piece of terry cloth and Copic colorless blender. I added some polka dots to the hair bow with White Gelly Roll. I fussy cut the bears and set aside. I used a Black CS Card base and added a mat of White CS. For the next layer I embossed a Gray CS with the Leafy Tree EF and inked the raised area with Memento Tuxedo Black and added some grass with a Repeat Impression stamp and Memento Gray Flannel ink. I stamped the Repeat Impression Sentiment with Tuxedo Black. I assembled the layers and added the Bear Couple with foam tape for more dimension. I really like this card and trying some new techniques.
Challenges:
Designer's Challenge Choice: Cheri's DCC910 use Black, White and Gray
The Crafting Café Challenge: Shades of one. I think this card qualifies unless white is not allowed.

Summer Time Drive
Hello! The Designer’s Choice Challenge 521 at the House that Stamps Built hosted by Deonna is to create cards with a monochromatic color scheme. For my blackish card, I have chosen the Repeat Impression stamp of a Corvette that I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on white cardstock and trimmed with Nesties Oval die and placed on a Black Scallop Oval mat cut with Nesties Die. This was attached to Black and White Pattern Paper from Fancy Pants which I embossed with Cuttlebug EF Tiny Bubbles. Added a Black and White Stitched Ribbon and rub-on stickers from stash before placing on black card base.

Shades of Gray
Today I am covering 2 challenges with this card....the Designer's Choice DCC73 at The House That Stamps Built to create a monochrome card and the Less Is More Challenge to create a CAS card in Shades of Gray. I am hoping the card has enough "Gray" space to qualify as CAS!
I stamped Repeat Impressions Great Blue Heron with Memento Gray Flannel ink on a mottled gray cardstock and added some shading with Copics N 0, 2, 4,7 and some highlights with a White Gel pen. I trimmed the corners with EK Success corner punch. I assembled the card base of dark gray, a mat of lighter gray and another mat of the darker gray under the image. All papers from stash. The sentiment used is from Flourishes. This was an easy peasy card...clean lines, minimal elements, areas of grey space and no embellishments.

Hello from the Forest
I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day. My project today was made using a sketch from the What If ? Wednesday challenge at The House That Stamps Built. I used one of their stamps Large Pine Forest for this almost monochromatic color card. The base card is Kraft CS with strips of pattern paper from DCWV paper pad. The trees were stamped on ivory CS with Memento Rich Cocoa and cut with Nesties circle die and placed on a circle mat using another pattern paper from the same pad. I finished by stamping a sentiment from Flourishes "Taglines" that I curved a bit to fit on the circle. This was a simple and easy card ...love this sketch for its simplicity. Also would look good with a touch of twine.....maybe the next time.

A Study in Greens
One of the most difficult cards for me to make is a monochromatic card...I don't know why, but it is.
When I saw this sketch at Lily Pads, it inspired me to make a monochromatic card maybe because it was designed in monochrome gray. Any who, I dug out some Bazzill textured CS in green tones and combined with a Stampin Up pattern paper to create this project. Used a Leaf Stamp and Sentiment from GKD's "A Year of Leaves" that I stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves to keep everything green.
This a very simple design but pleased with the monochrome color combo.
Challenges to enter:
Lily Pad Sketch Challenge: See sketch below. Fairly simple compared to most of the entries.
Sentimental Sunday: Monochromatic plus a Sentiment.
Truly Scrumptious Challenge: Clean and Simple.
Fab 'n' Funky Challenges: Hard to make theme. As I said above, monochromatic is hard for me.

Our green leaves are beginning to show some fall colors.
This would me an easy card and layout to make in fall colors as well.
I enjoy all your comments.
Thank you. Theresa

Monochromatic Challenges and More
There have been several monochromatic challenges this week and I chose to do this card for the ones at Speedy the Cat and Annabelles as well as some other challenges.
Challenges:
Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge: The challenge is from Joanne who challenges us to use monochromatic blues.
Annabelle Stamps Challenge: Say it in monochromatic. Added some bling for good measure.
Shelly's Images: Bling it up a little or a lot.
Fussy and Fancy: Use sketch shown lower left. Rotated the sketch for my design. This is a great sketch...had done an earlier entry but was messed up in the Blogger mix up.
Really Reasonable Ribbon: Anything Goes...used 2 ribbons layered on card.
There's Magic in the Air: Molly would like to see us use some kind of embossing on our cards/projects this week. I did embossing with Victoria EF. I usually do this challenge with a Paper Cupcakes Image but mixing it up this week. I still plan to do another entry with their freebie digi image this week. Check it out...great image with peonies.
Stamp TV: Mix it up Monday challenge-focus on flowers.
Truly Scrumptious: Anything goes! Too easy to pass up.
