Gifts for Christmas
Happy Saturday! Today I have made a Christmas card with LOTV's James with Gifts, one of my first LOTV Stamps. I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copics E 00,17, 21, 25, 27, R 24,27, 46, 59, YG 99, G 05, N 0. I matched him up with some pretty papers from American Crafts Kringle & Co pad and used a Dark Red CS as the base. I added some red ribbon under the image and added a silver die cut sentiment that I found in my stash. Finished with Liquid Pearls on his cap and some shine on the gifts with Sakura Clearstar Pen. My DH called this a smiley card.

James Bear Trims the Tree
Second Christmas card for today. I am trying to use some of my never inked stamps and this one is LOTV's James Bear Deck the Hall. I stamped him with Memento Espresso Truffle and colored him with Copics . I added some shine with a Clear Star pen it but does not show in the photo. I fussy cut him to place in front of an embossed Christmas Tree (Darice EF) on green CS. I think it might have been better not to have done all that cutting but I wanted James to be standing in front of the tree that he's trimming. I added gold to the tree with Gold Jelli-pens and edged the green CS with a Sharpie Gold Paint Pen. The card base is an Ivory card stock topped with a pattern paper from BasicGrey Jovial pad. I finished with a Flourishes sentiment Joy (from Alleluia Set) stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with gold EP. James is a very joyful bear, don't you think?
Challenges:
Timeless Tuesday: Do some fussy cutting.
PapertakeWeekly: Oh Christmas Tree
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra: Anything Goes for Christmas
Lili Of The Valley's Monthly Challenge: Anything goes with a LOTV stamp.

Teddy Bears Picnic
A favorite challenge of mine is Craft a Scene...I always look forward to their monthly challenge. The theme for the month of August is "In the Park" with a twist for an extra prize if you can make it a "Picnic in the Park". I decided to make a card with LOTV's Teddy Bear picnic stamp shown in a park setting complete with ants....what's a picnic without the ants? I stamped the Teddy Bears on white cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, masked the image and stamped trees from GKD's The Northwood Trees which were bare so I colored in leaves with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink. I colored the bear image with a lot of Copics, sponged the Sky with Memento Summer Sky ink, and colored the grass with pencils and OMS. My ants were drawn in with black glaze pen and black pen. The lady bug stamp from Annabelle Stamps was stamped with black ink onto red cardstock scrap and cut out and attached with a glue dot....added legs and antennae with pen. Added a butterfly brad for more interest. Stamped birds in sky with GKD stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black. Layered the image on a Red and White Check Pattern Paper and card base of Brown Cardstock from stash. Added border sentiment using a scrap of Pattern Paper found in scraps. (Looks crooked in photo but straight in real life.)

Jacob's First Birthday
Jacob, my great-nephew, celebrates his first birthday on Monday and I want to send him a very special birthday card. I used a LOTV's stamp "Patchwork Hot Air Balloon" that I stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on White CS. I paper pieced the balloon and colored the bear with Copics. I masked the image and sponged clouds in the background. I cut letters and the #1 from adhesive backed CS with Cricut and attached to the card. I attached the image to a mat of glitter dotted CS and added to a Turquoise Card Base. The fun part of the card is the inside.( See below) I stamped the bear inside and added a balloon of red honeycomb paper. I surrounded the bear with clouds printed with best wishes and added Jacob's name. Clouds were printed on the computer.

Cheers on Your Birthday
Second post today.
I just love all those bears from Lili of the Valley and here is another new one "Cheers Bear". Made this simple card using a sketch from Critter Sketch Challenge but forgot we were to use red so I am not entering their challenge. I instead had used orange, yellow, and turquoise.
Supplies:
Stamps: LOTV "Cheers"
GKD Sentiment
Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa and Copics for the Bear
Papers: Yellow, Orange, White, and Turquoise CS
DCWV Citrus Mat "Stripe"
Cuttlebug EF Herringbone
Versamark and Copper EP for Sentiment and to color Pearls
Added lemon slice sticker (unknown source) to glass so that you would know he is drinking lemonade.
Challenges:
Lili of the Valley: Celebrate
Play Date Cafe 88: See graphic below. I thought I matched the colors fairly well but they called the blue one "Juniper", I call it turquoise.
Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge: Theme is One for the Boys.

Birthday Card for Daddy Bear
I bought this LOTV Stamp when it was released this spring and have been anxious to ink it up. I had planned to use it for Father's Day but that plan did not work out so I am now going to use for Lili of The Valley's Sketch challenge this week in a birthday card. I stamped it on white CS and colored with Copics and sponged the background. I cut the image with a circle die and matted on another circle. Cut 3 rectangles of BasicGrey DP that I attached to Cranberry square card base...seldom make square cards but this cried to be square. Stitched on a wide lime green ribbon and adhered the image. Finished with a Birthday tag with ribbon.
Challenges:
Lili of the Valley: Sketch 102
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge: Recipe challenge: 1 Tag, 2 Circles, 3 Rectangles or Squares. This sketch worked well with this recipe.
BasicGrey Challenges: Use stitching. Stitching is not one of my favorite to do but it worked well with my ribbon.
Crafts and Me: Theme is Birthday Cards.
Supplies:
Stamp: LOTV From the Boys Collection, GKD Sentiment
Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand, New Sprout
Copics: C00,1,3,9, B24,26,000, E00,30,31,33,34,,55,YG 93,Y28,R59
Papers: GKD Cranberry Tart and White CS, BasicGrey Oliver Paper Pack
Atyou Spica Gold Pen
Nesties Circle Dies, Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Die (Modified)
Ribbons from stash
Daddy Bear's birthday is not until October so for once I am ahead of the game. And he will not remember this card when I give it to him then.
Thanks for stopping by! Theresa

Life is Good in His Convertible
When my husband retired 8 years ago, I told him that he should buy a FUN car since he had driven company cars for many years.....not much fun driving them. But little did I know just how much FUN that he would buy! He came home sporting a Lexus SC 430 in Egyptian Sand...that's about as much fun as you can find in a car! And he has been driving it ever since.
When I saw this LOTV stamp of a teddy bear in a sports car, I thought immediately of my "Daddy Bear" tooling around in his sports car and had to have this stamp. I have colored it up to resemble his little convertible and made this surprise card for Father's Day. That was hard to do since he is always checking what I am doing in my studio. By the way, the front license plate reads "Life Is Good", his words to live by.
Supplies:
Stamp: Lili of the Valley "Mini Bear"
Hero Arts "Dad"
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Versamark, Silver Jelli-Pen
Paper: GKD White CS, Basic Grey DP, Gold Metallic CS
Nesties, Silver EP, Glossy Accents
Challenges to enter:
Cupcake Craft Challenges: Theme is boy oh boy...do Father's Day project.
Little Red Wagon: For Dad.
Wags 'n' Whiskers: One for the Boys.
Stamptacular Sunday: Fun in the Sun. What's more fun than driving a convertible in the sun?
Lili of the Valley: Bring on the Music...may be stretching this a bit....but my card was inspired by the song "Drive My Car". May not qualify for this challenge but was fun to use this LOTV stamp.
Listen to the song by the beatles: Click here.
Happy Father's Day to my DH and to all the wonderful fathers out there.
Thanks for stopping by! Theresa

It is hard to select only 10 favorites. I have discovered some new (to me) stamp vendors and see that most of my favorites are from cards that I made with Flourishes and LOTV stamps.
In the comments please tell me if you have a favorite of my Top Ten and which stamps are your personal favorite.
Thanks for dropping by.

Christmas Teddies
Sorry I have been missing this week. Have been busy getting packages ready for shipping and finishing other projects for the holidays. Now it is time to bake and I have to decorate the tree which has been up for a few days but only has lights.
I received this stamp recently and wanted to ink it up so I made this card to cover a few challenges.
Challenges:
Teddy Stampers: Theme is Christmas Teddies
Crafty Catz Weekly: Birthday Card with a Bear. Hard to read the sentiment...says Happy Birthday...better in real life. Embossing did not photograph very clearly on the print background.
Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge: Use Paper Piecing. Scarves done with Basic Grey print.
Allsorts Challenge Blog: Show last minute Christmas Projects.
Papertake Weekly: Theme is Christmas Birthdays.
Stamps: Lili of the Valley Bear and GKD Sentiment
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Copics
Versamark
Papers: Basic Grey Jovial, Green and Red CS from stash
Nestabilites
Stickles: Frosted Lace

Presents for a Winter Birthday
I was trying something different with this card....just playing around...still undecided if I really like. I stamped the Lotv Bear with Presents image with Versamark on Glossy White CS and then heat embossed with Clear EP. I colored with copics and markers. I sponged the backgound of image with Memeneto Summer Sky ink and then sponged with Brilliance Platinum Planet. Added Frosted Lace stickles to cap and dabbed some on for snowflakes.
Cut image with Nesties. I used a blue card base (from stash) and embossed front with Cuttlebug EF Snowflakes and swiped with the Brilliance Platinum Planet pad. Finished with a GKD sentiment stamped and embossed on a Ribbon Tag cut with Spellbinders die with a hint of ribbon.
I used sketch 194 from Card Positioning Systems shown lower right.
Challenges:
CPS Sketch 194
Just Cute Bears Challenge: Winter Birthday
Alphabet Challenge: E is for embossing.

Happy Birthday with Candles!
I made this card for several challenges. This is a Lili of the Valley stamp that I colored with copics and added same glitter. Used some GKD stamps for the sentiment and candles. Guess I need to find someone celebrating their fifth birthday since that is how many candles are on the cake.
Challenges:
Lili of the Valley Challenge: Anything goes --you can use any make stamp or digi. I think this is a first for them to open the challenge to all stamps. Check out their blog hop this week. Made this birthday card to enter.
Teddy Stampers Challenge: Create a birthday card....they are celebrating their first birthday and also doing a blog hop.
Annabelle Stamps: Say it with...Hold a Candle. Had to use other candle stamps for my entry.
Stamp Something: Sketch challenge shown upper right.

Party Time Tuesdays: This weeks challenge is to use the cake in the photo shown as inspiration for a birthday card. Don't forget to include a greeting/sentiment on the front of your card. Used red and white for my cake.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge: Use 2 colors only is part of their challenge....I did the sketch challenge already and doing 2nd part in this card. Used shades of red and gray...hope the touch of yellow is ok.
