Card with a Tag

Hello!  I made this Christmas card with a tag that I attached to an embossed panel. With a few changes, I recreated the tag design in the same way (see post here from 2019) that I had made earlier with Gina K Designs stamps and dies and a Basket Weave stamp from Just for Fun stamps.  Had all the stamps since 2018/2019.   Used a bit of ribbon, twine and even a smaller tag on the tag. I embossed and inked a white panel with Darice EF Pine Branches before attaching the tag.  Finished with a card base of Fresh Asparagus CS and more GKD sentiments.

CAS Christmas Card

Hello!  I am sharing a CAS design that I created with stamps and dies for a Christmas card that will be easily mass produced if I decide to do so.  I stamped the pinecone twice on kraft CS with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Chestnut EP. Stamp is from GKD Seasonal Sentiments Bundle. I die cut both with GKD Die from the same set. Like the way they look, and no coloring was involved. I die cut the Pine Bough with Impression Obsession die from Fresh Asparagus CS and colored the branch with Copics marker. I arranged the die cuts on a panel of white CS that I inked the edges with a Brown Copics marker .... this looks like a mat without adding more weight.  I finished with a sentiment from GKD Joyful Holiday stamped with Versamark  and embossed with the Chestnut EP.
The hardest part of this design was deciding how to best arrange the die cut elements, but I like the final results.

Summer Flowers

Hello and welcome my friends.  This card that I am showing was made with Gina K Designs supplies. I stamped the floral image from Wildflowers bundle with black ink on watercolor paper and water colored with Gina K inks Medium Carnation, Passionate Pink, Fresh Asparagus and Medium Spruce. I die cut the image using die from the same bundle. I attached the image to an embossed pattern paper from GKD Watercolor Floral paper pad with some foam tape. I used Cuttlebug EF Victoria for the embossing that I distressed with a bit of sandpaper. Attached this to a white cardcase. Stamped the sentiment from GKD Rose Bouquet set with Passionate Pink ink on a die cut circle of white matted with a pink circle to complete the design. Circle dies from Spellbinders.

Playing with a Stencil

Welcome to my studio. I created this card playing with a new stencil and stamps that I recently received from Gina K Designs.  I inked a panel of white cardstock with GKD Blue Raspberry and Fresh Asparagus inks using a lattice stencil from Bodacious Blooms stencils.  I stamped sentiments and a floral stamp from Pretty Posy set on the panel with Memento Black Ink and colored in the flowers with Copics and markers. Matted with a panel of Fresh Asparagus CS and then attached to a white card base.  I made this a slimline card instead of my usual A2 card.

Card for A Friend

Hello! I made this card with an older stamp set Wild Blossoms from GKD.  I had a challenge for using a silhouette in mind when creating this card, but I found out that you can only do one entry and I had already entered.  But I think this card will qualify for Monthly Mix Up Challenge at Gina K Designs. We are to use Black and White Plus Pop of one other Color.  Other supplies used: GKD Blue Raspberry and Black inks, Circle dies, Ink Blending Brush, Black Marker for Edging the White Panel, White CS.

Playing with Color Challenge and More

Hello! Welcome to my studio.  I have been playing with some old rubber stamps from the GKD Unforgettable set to create some CAS cards.  The top card is created with a color combination for the challenge at Just Us Girls. I inked up the floral image with DOI Abandoned Coral and Memento London Fog inks and stamped on a White panel. I embossed the center of the flowers with Gold EP and a Versamark Pen.   I stamped he sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold EP. I trimmed the panel with a GKD Stitched Dieand edged the panel with Pilot Metallic Gold Marker for more gold accents.  Finished with a Coral card base and a light grey mat.

I decided to use the same stamps (since they were on my desk) plus one more to create another card, but I stamped the silhouette images with Memento black ink on a background that I used ink blending to create an oval with Hero Arts ink. I finished with sentiment stamped in black ink and a card base of Black CS.  Clean and simple!

Have you ever used the wrong product by mistake?  In the making of this second card, I mixed up a Stick It Adhesive Sheet with my masking paper. Oops!  Ended up having to add another white layer with the oval die cut out since I had adhesive on the original layer with the inked oval.

Inking Up is Fun

Hello! I broke down and bought a set of blending brushes and had to try them out on a card.  I inked up a panel of white card stock using Green Asparagus, Dark Spruce, Light and Dark Carnation inks from GKD to use as the background for a birthday card. I stamped the panel with a stamp from Happy Flowers set using black ink and then trimmed the image to fit on a Green Asparagus card base. I stamped sentiments from the same set with the Green Asparagus ink and die cut with GKD dies. Die cut the word Happy 3 times and layered with contact glue. For additional interest, I stamped a bud from the image a second time and inked with the pink shades, fussy cut the bud, and added with foam tape. I think this added some balance to the card.

Groovy NBUS

Hello!  I have been playing with some groovy colors again. This time I have created a card with a tie dye tee shirt using a NBUS stamp from Custer's Last Stamp which has to be from 2009 or before. I think this stamp was part of a blog giveaway. I stamped the shirt outline with DOI Wilted Violet and created the tie dye design with Memento Markers Rose Bud, Cantaloupe, Pear Tart, and Tangelo. (Used a older Gina K Design Doily stamp with the markers and a spritz of water for this look, but that's another story). After water coloring the shirt, I fussy cut it and attached it to a white background embossed with Darice Frenzy Flowers EF.  That added some 60's Flower Power vibes to the design.  Finished with some NBUS sentiments from 2009 GKD Taglines and purple gems. Used bright Green Card base.  And the small heart stamp is also GKD.

Pocket Birthday Card

Hello! I made this masculine Birthday card that was inspired by the challenge Can You Handle The Pressure?   which is to use anything with Embossing with a Twist of Plaid. I had a hard time finding  some plaid paper but finally found a scrap that I used on the card with embossing.  It seems that I have used nearly all the plaid papers that were in my stash.
Supplies: Memento Lady Bug Ink, Versamark Ink, Red Embossing Powder. Heartfelt Creations Pocket Stamp, Gina K Design stamps and dies from Enjoyable Greetings set, GKD Birthday sentiment.  Blue Card stock panels already embossed with Cuttlebug Gingham EF that I found in my stash. Plaid Mat embossed with Cuttlebug Wicker Weave (hard to see in photo). White CS Base. Gold Brads.  Square of leftover Pellon fabric that I stuffed in the pocket as a handkerchief.

Sunflowers for Ukraine

Welcome to the studio!  I have been playing with NBUS Gina K Designs Sketched Flowers Stamps and Dies to create this card which I recently purchased.   I stamped 4 flowers with DOI Fossilized Amber and stamped the centers with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and added some fock to the center for texture. When was the last time that I used that? Stamped some leaves and stems with Memento Bamboo Leaves. Die cut all these and arranged on my card. First, I prepared my white card base by embossing the front with Darice Floral Frenzy EF and partial die cutting the edge with the flower dies. The sentiment is from an older GKD set Hope is Faith.  Finished with some strips of yellow CS on the inside. Photo below shows inside and die cut edge.

Happy, Happy, Happy, and Happy

Hello! I had fun making this card but it took so long to create because I kept changing the elements and the layout, but I finally finish the design.  The card was inspired by the February Monthly Mix challenge at Gina K Designs. We are to make a fun fold card and use pattern paper that we create with GKD stamps.  I stamped GKD Petite Flourish Background stamp with GKD Green Asparagus Ink on GKD Innocent Pink ink for the pattern paper which I trimmed into panels to fit the folds of the White Card. See the fold in the photo on the side. I inked all the edges of the panels with Pilot Metallic Gold marker before attaching.
I stamped a Rose image from GKD Tropical Blooms set with Versamark on the Pink CS and heat embossed with Gold EP. I cut the image with a die from the same set and colored in the leaves with green Copics and shaded the Petals with Pink Copics.  Attached this image to the edge of the fold. I stamped, heat embossed, and die cut the word Happy 4 times. Adhered one of these to the outside fold and arranged the others   to the inside beneath the top fold. Did the same steps-stamp, heat, and die cut- with the word Birthday and attached so you can see on the card beneath the Happy when closed and open.  Lot of Happiness unfolds from this card!

Cards from a Napkin and Stamps

Hello!  Today I am sharing 3 cards that I made from a napkin and added sentiments using stamps from Gina K Designs.  I used Stick It Paper ( double side adhesive) to attach the trimmed sections of the napkin to card bases of GKD Red Velvet Cardstock.  First design was a square card using a GKD die cut heart stamped with sentiment from GKD Birds & Blossoms.

For this horizontal design, I used a gold embossed sentiment from GKD Heart Stamp set.

I attached this portion of the napkin on white paper before attaching to the red card base.  Die cut the flag that was stamped with a script sentiment from GKD A Year of Flowers.

Celebrate in a Red Dress

Hello!  I have been MIA for awhile but am back today to play with the Monthly Mix  challenge at Gina K Designs  "Put Your Red Dress On". We are to use Red as the dominant color and create a celebratory card.  I used a older stamp set Celebrate in Style from GKD with GKD Red Velvet CS. I stamped the image and sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Gold EP. I trimmed this with an oval die.  I paper pieced the skirt with a scrap of patterned paper before attaching to a scalloped oval die cut from Gold Metallic CS.  I used a background of more of the Red Velvet CS embossed with Cuttlebug Divine Swirls EF which I heat embossed the raised areas with  Gold EP. Finished with a base card of GKD Gold Metallic CS. I will be using this card to wish someone a Happy Birthday.

Fall Leaves

Hello! I made this card a few days ago and forgot to post so I will do so now.  For the background I used a sheet of Gina K Designs Foil mates which I blended with Distress Oxide inks.  I tried to adhere foil to the design but for some reason I was not successful doing that. I stamped and embossed leaves and a sentiment form GKD Skeleton Leaves set (year 2018) on a panel of white cardstock. Used gold EP with Versamrk ink.  I inked the edges of both panels with Pilot Gold Metallic marker before assembling on a card base of Warm Cocoa GKD Cardstock.

Birthday with Roses

Welcome to my studio!  My CAS card today features embossing that I did with a Spellbinders die from Devine Eleoquence  on a panel of white card stock. This created a frame for the stamp from GKD Tropical Blooms set that is dated 2018. I stamped the roses with Memento Black Ink and colored with Copics and Pencils. The words from the set stamp set were inked with Memento Bamboo Leaves. Finished with Green card base.

Pattern on Pattern

Hello! Back again today with another post.  It has been awhile since I entered Tuesday Morning Sketch so I made this card from some fall papers that I had on my desk. They are from a paper pad The Simple Things from GKD.  I had the papers for some time and thought I would put to good use. I used 2 of the patterns layering one die cut with an oval die over a panel of the darker pattern. I stamped some leaves using GKD stamps from A Year Of Leaves and Skeleton Leaves on scraps from a gold card stock, fussy cut them, and inked the edges before arranging on the card. Used DOI Wild Honey for stamping and coloring on the leaves.  Finished with a sentiment from Skeleton Leaves stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa on scrap of turquoise paper matted on  a gold strip.  For fun I fussy cut some acorns from the pattern and added to the sentiment.

Challenges:
Monthly Mix Challenge: Donna's Challenge is Fall is almost here! Used GKD Papers and Stamps.
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper: Always about Using Patterned Papers
Double D Challenges: Colorful Challenge
Tuesday Morning Sketches: #570 Sketch shown below.

Note: I did not realize my card was so similar to Angela's card at Tuesday Morning until I was writing my post. Maybe I saw her card when I first read the challenge and it stuck in my mind?? And I thought I had an original design but it looks like I cased Angela unintentionally.

Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa
