Rainbow from the Heart

Hello!  This is a card that I made just for fun.  Today I am playing with a digital image that I recently downloaded from PaperCrafter Magazine. I colored the Rainbow with Copics after printing on White cardstock.  Stamped the Sentiment and Sun image with Laurel Burch stamps from Stampendous that I had never used. Added some texture to the clouds with a Snow Marker. Card base is GKD Blue CS.

Pour a Cup of Coffee

Hello!  Today I am playing with a digi stamp from STAMPlorations called Autumn Pumpkin Mug that I printed on white cardstock and colored with Copics.  I fussy cut the mug and popped  it up on a corresponding color CS  and a panel of Pumpkin patterned paper (printed from a digital file from Kate Cuttables).  The sentiment stamp is an old Mark's Finest Papers stamp. 

I would love to have some real mugs just like the paper one on my card for our morning coffee.

Inspired by Home

Hello!  Looks to be a sunny day in Ohio. This month the Power & Spark challenge at Power Poppy is to create a project inspired by something in your home and include a photo of what  inspired  us.  This time of year I like to bring out arrangements of silk sunflowers.  I am showing one that is in our living room.  I made this card by printing Power Poppy digital Sunflower Power on watercolor paper and water coloring with a water brush and Distress Oxide inks.  I have done a lot of sunflower cards lately.  I stamped a Power Poppy sentiment from Sunny Harvest set.  I used Rust CS and Authentique  Pattern Paper from Blissful paper pad to complete the card.

Fun Lady On a Bike

Welcome!  This card was a result of my searching my digital images for a bicycle when I found this fun image from Beccy's Place of a lady riding a bike called Nell On A Bike that I had forgot that I had in my files.  I printed off the precolored version of the image and made the card using a Sketch from Beccy's June Challenge.
Supplies: White CS, Blue CS, Red patterned paper from stash, die cut flowers from stash, Papers and Such Stamp, Memento Red Ink, Embossing Folders, Oval Die.
This was a fun card....she is such a fun character.

Happy Father's Day

Hello! Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.  Sharing a card today that I made for the father of all my Bears.  I recently purchased this digital stamp Just One More from the Busy Bears series at Lili of the Valley.  It was perfect for a card for my Grill Master DH.  After printing the image, I colored him with Copics and used a mat of Polka Dot patterned paper.  I printed the sentiment with the computer and attached to the card.

Making Cookie Envelope

Hello!  Today I have something different...an envelope for a cookie.  I was inspired to make this after seeing Cindy's post and challenge for Day 8 challenge in Power Poppy's 12 Days of Challenge for Christmas.  I downloaded her templates and printed on Kraft CS.  I also created my pattern design with Power Poppy Hollyberries digital stamp using Photoshop Elements .  I colored in the berries using tools in Photoshop.  I was going to leave the leaves uncolored but decided to color with a Green Pencils after I cut out the envelope.  I used some String closures from my stash (purchased several of these at a closeout sale a few years ago) and colored the string red with a Copic marker.  For the tag, I used a Vanilla one from my stash and stamped with sentiment from Power Poppy Poinsettia set and inked the edges.  Added some fussy cut Holly and Berries from the printed design.  After viewing the picture, I think the tag is too large and I will downsize the next ones I make.

Now, just to make some  cookies and fill more envelopes.

Note: I first tried to stamp and emboss images directly on the Kraft paper but could not get it to look like I wanted.  That is when I resorted to printing the design and it will be really easy to make several wrappers.

Everything Rosy

Hello!  Have you ever created your own Pattern Paper?  I did using Photoshop and a single digital image.  I used the single rose image from Power Poppy Rose and Chamomile set  and arranged 36 roses on a panel 4" x 5.25", colored the roses red (through the magic of Photoshop), and printed this on white CS.  I then printed a sentiment and image from Power Poppy Everything Rosy set.   I colored the image with Copics and cut with an oval die and placed on a red oval mat. The sentiment was cut with a label die and edged with red ink.  I assembled the card using my "Pattern Paper" with a red card base and adding a Green Grosgrain ribbon with a blue thread that picked up colors in the image.

It's the Sentiment That Counts

This card is for the Mod Squad Challenge - Make sentiment the main focal point.  I have several great sentiments from the sponsor Power Poppy.  It was just a matter of choosing one for my card.  I decided on this one from her Berry It Digi stamps.  I printed it, framed it with a green mat and used a "berry" red card base.  Actually the sentiment is beneath a die cut in the front of the base card.   I printed the Berry Image much smaller than the actual size, colored it with Copics, and fussy cut it.  Attached it with foam tape.  Embossed a row of dots on the lower edge of the card.  Might use this for a birthday if I added a birthday greeting inside. You think??

Old Time Hollyhocks

Welcome!  Today I am casing/copying a card shown below and  posted here by Stacey, a Bloomie at Power Poppy, for the July challenge at Power Poppy.   I used the same Power Poppy digi stamp Old Time  Hollyhocks and copied her layout with the same border but changed up the colors and did not do any piercing on the border and panels.  I added some inking on the edge of the image with Distress Ink.  Instead of sequins I added some dots of Nuvo Crystal and also added a leftover Butterfly that I had already stamped and cut out from another project.  Coloring on the flowers was done with Copics.  Thanks to Stacey for a beautiful card and allowing me to Case her design.

Bee Happy

Hello!  I am  trying to enter some of June's challenges before time runs out.  Making up for some time that I missed making cards lately.  And I did have some problems with cards automatically showing on Facebook via Net Work Blogs but that seems to have been corrected.

This card is made with Power Poppy Pure Prairie Bouquet digital stamp.  After printing the image I colored with Copics and simply placed on a Green CS mat and a base of Purple CS.  I threaded the ribbon through slits and tied into a bow before attaching to the mat.  I stamped the Power Poppy sentiment from Geraniums set with SU Always Artichoke ink. Since I wanted a bee on my card I printed just the bee from PP Bees in Foxglove digital set ....fussy cut, colored and glued to the finish card. It would have been easier if I had thought to print the bee with the image of the bouquet but I like doing things the hard way!  Thought I needed that Bee with Be Happy sentiment.

Winter Bouquet

Welcome!  My card features Power Poppy digital stamp Winter Pick Me Up colored with Copics,   I cut with a Spellbinders Die and attached to a frame of Bronze Metallic CS cut with Spellbinders Divine Elegance die. This was adhered to a card base of Yellow CS and finished with Gold Rhinestones and a Power Poppy sentiment embossed with Gold EP. This will be great for a winter birthday.  My DH suggested the bronze frame when he saw my working on the layout with a metal die,

Happy Card

Hello! My card today features Power Poppy Hollyberries digital stamp that I printed and colored with Copics on white cardstock.  I edged the image with a Red Copic marker and placed on a panel of Pattern Paper (Crate Paper Peppermint pad)  embossed with CB EF Swiss Dots. I placed this on a Fresh Asparagus card base and added a Power Poppy sentiment from Dahlia set.  This card could be used for Christmas but also for a happy occasion such as a birthday.  I added 7 Red Rhinestones for some sparkle and texture.

Challenges:

Mod Squad Challenge: The challenge is Bling.  My choice of bling is rhinestones.

Playing with More Glitter

Hello!  I have several digital images from All Dressed Up that I have never used so I printed this one out for a challenge at Fab N Funky Little Girls but after making the card I realized I should have used a Little Girl image but I think these girls may be young enough to qualify.   I decided to use pinks and aquas for my designs adding glitter to the heart and strip with glue and tape. I used Gary's Ultrafine Crystal Glitter.  Added more sparkle to the "girls" with Sakura Clear Star pen and glitter pens.  Finished with GKD Stamp in SU Taken with Teal ink. 

On the back of this card, I used my new stamp from BOSSYJOCIE Crafty Goods that I had custom made for my Studio.

It's Cold Outside

Second Post Today:

Hello! Here in Ohio, it is very cold!!   More reason to stay inside and make cards in my warm studio!

I printed off  a digital image, already colored, from Dearie Dolls....just love all her cute images.  I placed the image on a mat of red CS and heat embossed a sentiment from Creative Clear stamps.   I tried something new by embossing the front of my Blue card base  with Cuttlebug EF Snowflakes using Versamark ink on the folder and then heat embossed with Snowflake Embossing Tinsel with glitter ( same as used on sentiment).  Of course I had glitter everywhere and I had just cleaned my studio. But I loved the cold, snowy effect that I achieved.  I also added some of the tinsel to the image by using a Versamark pen on the snowflakes.

Tip: To clean up the glitter, use a Swifter cloth to pick it up.

Sweets for Christmas

Hello! Another card for today. I used a Power Poppy Digital Stamp Candy Cane Classic and a sentiment from Power Poppy Poinsettias set to create this sweet treat.  The image was colored with copics with touches of Red Rhinestones, Glossy Accents, and Sakura Stardust pen.  The sentiment was heat embossed with Gold EP. Mats cut from Gold Metallic card stock were layered under the pattern paper background and the image. The ribbon used is Diamond Wrap by Floral Garden from the Dollar Store is actually Gold Rhinestones on a mesh backing.

Poppies for Christmas

Hello! My second card today has the theme of Thinking Of You but I added an inside message that makes it a Christmas card for a special person.  I printed a digital image of Poppies by Crafty Secrets on Watercolor paper and colored with a water brush and Distress Inks.  I added a sentiment from Gina K Designs with Memento Tuxedo Black that I embossed with Clear EP.  I simply finished with a layer of Black CS and a card base of Green CS.  I finished the inside saying "With Love This Christmas Season" (printed on computer) and stamped another sentiment with Gina K Stamps.

Bouquet of Sunflowers

This quick and simple CAS card was made with a Power Poppy digital stamp colored with Copics and placed on a card base of Brown CS with a mat of Authenique Pattern Paper.  The image was framed with Brown CS cut with Nesties oval dies.  I created the bouquet by using Photoshop to layering the flowers.  I think this makes a nice notecard or I can add a verse when sending the card for a specific occasion.

Fall Is Here

Fall is here! At least according to the calendar.  Yesterday, with fall colors in mind,  I colored Power Poppy Olive and Oak digital image after printing on White CS.  I distressed the edges with Distress Ink  Wild Honey and attached to a Pattern Paper from Teresa Collins World Traveler pad.  I like the combo of this paper with the image ....just looked good together. I added a card base of Pumpkin Spice CS.  I could not decide on a sentiment so I will wait until I use the card and determine that.   I think this would be good to use for  a fall birthday, thanksgiving, thank you, or simply to say hello.  What purpose do you think it would be appropriate for?
