Flowers in a Floral Frame

This is a card that I made for the Annabelle Sketch challenge shown on the left.  When I saw this floral stamp from Annabelle's Floral Silhouette Set, I thought of this pattern Paper from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found pad and decided to use both together coloring the flowers similar to the paper using Memento Cottage Ivy ink and Copics RV17 and RV19 with Sukura Clear Star pen.  I cut an opening in the pattern paper and placed the image under the window. Added the sentiment from Annabelle's Squared Posies  and finished with some dew drops  changing a bit from the sketch.

Sorry to be so short and quick. I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Thank You Card

This card was a result of combing some challenges and using some new products including a new embossing folder called Villages and a new stamp(new to me) from Unity called Neighbor.  I used a card base of black and layered with an embossed mat of white card stock embossed with Villages. I stamped the house in black and red (for the heart) on white card stock that I trimmed and placed on a black mat .  I used two sentiments to create a thank you card. Added red ink to the hearts in the embossed design.

Challenges:
CASology: Cue is NEW. I used some new products on my card.
The ABC Challenge: E for embossing.
Cas-ual Friday: Thank You
All Sorts: CAS
Less Is More: Use Black and White with splash of color

Colors of Lilac, Grey, and Bluestone

I was pleasantly surprised with how this card looks...I had some doubts that I could make a a card with these colors for the Challenge ac146 at Annabelle Stamps. But using some of her great stamps from Floral Silhouette and Whimsy Flowers (Butterflies),  I created this card. I used Card stock from Stash in Lilac, Gray, Blue and White for layering and stamped the focus image in Memento Gray Flannel and the Butterflies with Memento Sweet Plum. I stamped off the Sweet Plum to get a lighter shade of lilac for the Butterflies. Colored the flowers with Copics B24 to get the right color of blue. Finished with a sentiment stamped with Memento Blue Danube. I really like my finished look.

Red and Gold with a Flair

I am running very close to the deadline for the challenge at Annabelle for their sketch shown to the left. I am rushing to get this in. My card is very simple but in a way,  dramatic with the gold and red and the large font of the sentiment.  This Annabelle stamp is one of my faves for Christmas.  Instead of bling, I added some dots punched from the metallic paper.

Challenge Link:
Annabelle Stamps Blog: Sketch absc 055
A Blog Named Hero: The OL'1, 2 punch: Use Punch or DieCut

Supplies:
Annabelle Stamp: Stamped for Christmas

Thanks in Pink

I love the combination of pink and green but this is mostly pink.  I think I selected the color because of this being the month of Breast Cancer Awareness and there are several challenges this week to use pink. I have used stamps from Annabelle Stamps Whimsy Flowers and Dotted Flowers to create this card.  I stamped the flowers on white CS with Versamark and embossed with Ranger Embossing pearls in green. I then colored with Copics R 81,83, G20,82 and Yellow Glaze pen. I masked the image and sponged with Distress Ink Spun Sugar. Placed this on Pink Card base with a looped pink ribbbon. Added the sentiment stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves Ink that I cut with a die and edged with the same ink Added a couple of green rhinestones to finish.

Challenges:
Annabelle Stamps: Say it with Thanks
Cupcake Challenge: Think Pink
Really Reasonable Ribbon: Pretty in Pink and Ribbon theme
I will probably also enter this in Annabelle's Monthly challenge.

I love to read all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Say it in Shades of Pink and White

This is one of those cards that look better in real life than in my photo.  I love the background....it is a scrap that I found in my stash with a satin ribbon design...feels the weight of wallpaper.  I'm not sure where it came from but believe it was in a package of paper samples that I won. I thought it would be great to use in this card that I made for Annabelle challenge to Say it in
Shades of Pink and White. I used "Squared Poises" stamp set from Annabelle. Stamped the image and sentiment in Versamark and embossed with a White Pearls EP and colored with Pink Distress Ink. Simply cut out the square image to which I added some 3D effects by layering some petals and bud and attached to the background. Sentiment hardly shows but it reads "Sending Hugs your way." Attached this all to a card base of a Lustrous CS.  This card really shines like satin!

Focus on the Sentiment

Do you ever just try and try and just cannot capture the true color in a card in a photo?  I just could not get the background behind my card to show white but the colors in the card show up the white as well ...white.  This card was made with Annabelle's Stamps Dotted Flowers and Floral Silhouette and focuses on the sentiment and uses DP for the shades of blue. Stamped and embossed some of the circles with flowers and randomly added pearls for some depth and richness. Pearls are white but look blue because of reflection of color in paper.

Challenges:
Annabelle Blog Challenge: Say it in... shades of blues... and white
Joanna Sheen Challenge: Totally Sentimental-focus on sentiment
Cute Card Thursday: Bling It Up...used pearls
Digi Doodle Shop's Best: Use Pearls- used lots of pearls.
PaperPlay Challenge: Use sentiment as main focus.

Supplies:
Stamps: Annabelle Stamps

Papers: Glossy White CS, Patterns from We R Memory Pad
Ink: Versamark
White Embossing Powder
Annabelle Pearls
Scor Pal for Scoring Lines on Edges
Spellbinder Dies

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all comments.

Christmas in July

Thought it would be cooling to play with some snowflakes on this very hot day...temps have been in the hi 90's here in Ohio but know some of you are even hotter. I bought a Cheery Lynn Snowflake die a few months ago and have not played with it.  Since there are several Christmas Card Challenges in blog land as of late, I thought I'd make a Christmas card with the die.  I cut 3 snowflakes out of Silver Metallic CS and arranged on a Navy Card. I stamped an Annabelle Christmas sentiment in Versamark and embossed with Zing EP.  This was a quick card but think it is very sparkly.

Challenges:
Annabelle Stamps: Say It With Snowflakes. I did not have any of her Snowflake stamps but used one of her Christmas.
Cheery Lynn Challenge: Christmas in July . Although I only used one die, I liked the way it came out.
Critter Sketch Challenge: Use something that sparkles. My snowflakes have lot of sparkle
Lollipop Crafts: Christmas in July
Crafter's Companion Monthly: Ho Ho Ho Christmas

Supplies:
Die: Cheery Lynn Snowflake 3
Stamp: Annabelle Stamps " Stamped for Christmas"

Annabelle Sketch Challenge

This week Annabelle Stamps has a sketch challenge...always like their sketches. My card  ended up being a monotone design...just happened that way. I used Stamps from Whimsy Flowers. Started with solid Blue CS from my stash and added a mat of diamond pattern from DCWV mat stack and embossed it with Cuttlebug  Wicker Weave EF. Distressed the edge with Distress ink. Added a blue grosgrain ribbon and some silver Annabelle Sprinkles. For the focus, I stamped the butterfly and sentiment with Versamark on Glossy White CS and embossed with Zing Silver EP. I cut this out with a Nesties Rectangle Die.  I then colored with Ranger Distress Inks Tumbled Glass and Broken China. I attached with foam dots to my finished card. Think I am just in time to post before deadline.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Each Day Is A Joy With You As A Friend

Isn't it a joy when a card just comes together so easily because you find a perfect match of elements?  I decided to use stamps from Annabelle's "Whimsy Flowers" and just by chance found this Pattern Cardstock with a Reverse side of Blue in my stash.  What is so great is how the leaves on the stamp seem to match the shape of the petals in the PP.  Using Copics, I matched the colors in the Paper to color the stamp design. Also added more color to the PP by coloring in the swirly stems.  Used the blue reverse side of PP for a punched strip and circle mat for the image. Picked up the brown in the pattern for another circle mat and card base. Added green satin ribbon and pink dewdrops. Hope you can read the sentiment ...."Each day is a Joy with You as a  Friend" ......it shows BIRL. Made envelope to match with cut outs from Pattern Paper, Hearts leftover from Punched edge, Annabelle Butterfly and Stem Stamps.
Challenges:
Annabelle Stamps: Bling Sketch Challenge below
Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturday: Theme is spring.
Paper and Such Design: Challenge is Easter or Spring Card.

Twine Tricks with a Twist

I have not used much twine on my card projects but have seen so many clever tricks. Since this week's Annabelle Stamps' challenge is to Say It With Twine, I thought I'd try something using some lovely Lime Green twine that I had won from Annabelle's.
I used Annabelle's "Dotted Flowers" stamping the stems with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and the flowers with Memento Rose Bud ink. I stamped one flower and cut it out with circle die and adhered with foam pad for depth.  The sentiment that I used is from Flourishes "Spring has Sprung". With the twine I made grass across the bottom using scor-tape to attach, added twine  to one of the stems, and made a butterfly with pink and black twine.
Learn how to make twine butterflies at Jen's Ink Spot that I found through google. Thanks, Jen.

Challenges:
Annabelle Stamps Blog: Say it with Twine
Lollipop Crafts: Anything Goes
Paper and Such Design Blog: Challenge is Spring or Easter Card
