Easter Card Continues

Today I have 3 versions of Easter cards using the same older stamps Hero Arts Sentiment and a cross stamp from Inkadinkado.  The designs shown on the left are 2 that I posted some time ago but I just created the one on the right using a fancy die cut oval and dry embossing with Wicker Weave EF on the brown background layer. I did add a sentiment to the middle card after the photo was made.  These will go into the box of Easter cards that I am assembling for the Life Care Center in Tennessee.

Another one for the box. This Easter card was made using an old Flourishes stamp Spring Has Sprung from 2011 designed by Marcella Hawley.  I colored the stamped image found in my Bits and Pieces box with Copics, trimmed it and added to a scrap of shiny pink cs and placed on a layer of Patterned Paper from Joanne's.  Finished with a Hero Arts sentiment stamped in green and a white card base.  Love this cute Bunny group.

Easter Cards Continued

 Welcome!  I have more cards to add to the box to send to my Mother's Life Care Center.  And I have a request-can anyone identify the digital image that I used in the cards above? I failed to identify the source of the image in my file.  But I thought it was perfect for Easter cards. I hope I am not infringing on any copyrights.  I printed the design on watercolor paper, inked the edges with a pastel Copics, and attached to an assortment of pastel card bases.  Used printed messages inside. This is an easy and quick card to mass produce if I need more.

These are 2 cards from my stash that I modified to fit the Easter theme and added inside messages.

Birthday Wishes

Hello!  You might have seen my post that showed a card using the Embossed Silhouette technique that I learned from Julie on Power Poppy's Inspire Me Monday.  I have created another card with the same technique using an older stamp from Marcella Hawley's Zinnia stamp set from Flourishes.  The zinnias were stamped with black ink and colored in with a multiliner pen to create a silhouette,  then I re-stamped the image with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White EP.   I used the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge to design my card.  I trimmed the edge of my stamped image with a  Martha Stewart punch and lined the punched edge with a strip of black cardstock. I attached it to a panel of white cardstock embossed with Cuttlebug Polka Dots EF and placed on a card base of Black CS.   I finished with a GKD birthday sentiment that I heat embossed.

Nine "Ladies" Dancing

 Today I am sharing a card that I made continuing with  a Twelve Days of Christmas series that I began some time ago but never completed.  I am picking up with Nine Ladies Dancing from the set called "Twelve Days of Christmas" from Creative Stamping magazine that I got last Christmas. Using masking technique,  I stamped the Dancing Pig 5 times on the front and 4 times on the inside (below)with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the nine ladies with Copics Markers.  That way I covered all Nine Ladies. I decided that the dancing ladies would hold a banner wishing Merry Christmas.  I heat embossed the sentiment from my stash with Gold EP on vellum, fussy cut the words, and strung the banner on  metallic gold thread. I stamped the words beneath the dancers on the front and added a New Year sentiment to the inside.  Finished with a Red card base.

Using Scraps and Stash

 Welcome!  I have some more Christmas cards using scraps and items from stash.   For the top card I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches as inspiration for the layout.  I cut strips from scraps of designer patterned paper with gold foil dots on pink.  I stamped the wreath from an old Flourishes set on glossy CS with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold EP and colored with 2 Pink Copics.  I trimmed with a Spellbinders circle die and attached to a Metallic Gold circle also cut with Spellbinders die.  I assembled the card with a card base of white CS but colored the edges with the same 2 Pink Copics to match wreath.  Added an embossed panel ( Cuttlebug Bubbles EF)  of GKD Metallic Gold CS with the strips,  image, and Cheery Lynn die cut words. Finished with a metallic gold bow.

This card was created with the same patterned paper and gold Metallic  paper as above but on ivory CS base.  The panel of gold metallic paper was embossed with Darice Santa Sleigh  EF. The sentiment from an old Annabelle set was heat embossed with Gold EP. Used more of the Metallic Gold ribbon to finish.

Barbecue Theme

Hello!  With this being Labor Day, our plans usually include grilling or barbecues.  I was inspired to create a tag for the  Tag You're It! Challenge #95 which has a Barbecue Theme.  I used a stamp from Jessica Lynn, an owl barbecuing, and added stamps from my stash by Flourishes and Mark's Finest Papers.  I stamped the owl with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copics.  Ignited the fire in the grill with some Diamond Stickles.  Trimmed the image and added some Red and White check patterned paper from scraps and Red twine. He is such a cute cook!  Will use this tag for a birthday gift.

Smiling with Pansies

Hello!  Could not resist using another Pansy stamp to create this card for the Retro Rubber challenge to use Purple, Yellow, and Green.  Pansies are such happy flowers and make me smile. This 2010 stamp is from Flourishes Calendar Set 1 by Marcella Hawley and has been much used but not lately.  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white CS and colored with Copics (first time to use with these markers). I trimmed with a Spellbinders Oval die and placed on a yellow mat cut with SB scallop oval.  I framed this with Purple CS die cut with SB Regal Frame and attached all to a Yellow card base. Finished with a Power Poppy sentiment in Memento Bamboo Leaves ink.

Christmas in Hot July

Hello!  What better way to stay cool during this heat wave...  thinking of snow, snowmen, and Christmas?  So that resulted in another Christmas Card!  I used one of my fave snowman stamps from Flourishes Warm Winter Wishes set by Marcella Hawley.  I stamped him with Tuxedo Black ink on white CS and colored with Copics.  Added some sparkly Diamond Stickles to the snowman and Embossed the Background with Clouds using a Darice EF.  Added some "snow swirls" to the foreground with another Darice EF which actually is a woodgrain design turn horizontally.  ( this was another layer of white CS that I cut and embossed for a snow bank).  Sponged and inked some blue on the sky and snow.  Finished with a Power Poppy sentiment from Poinsettias set heat embossed with Silver EP and a  card base of GKD Blue CS.

Christmas in July

Hello!  Did you know that Santa stays at the beach in July? At least that is where he is on my card!  I used some very old stamps to create this beach scene with Santa.  My background was stamped with Flourishes Beach Life set from 2010 using Memento Black ink and colored with Copics.  Santa standing in front of the Palm Trees with a Hammock is from a 2012 Mark Finest Papers set.   I framed the square image with Pattern Paper that has squares in the design from my stash.  Finished with Cheery Lynn die cut sentiment and card base of red card stock.

Vintage Car

Hello!  This card was made with a digital image that I saved from TLC Creations.   I printed the image on white CS and added some highlights with Silver Metallic Marker. I stamped sentiments from Heartfelt Creations and Flourishes with DOI Vintage Photo. I attached this to a card base of Brown CS.  When my DH saw this, he identified  it as a 1930 Cadillac.  This will be an anniversary card for my DH in October.

What's On the Menu?

Hello!  I have been trying to think of a card to design for the challenge -It's On the Menu - at Double D.  I first thought of a theme with coffee and cake but then I thought what would be on the menu at an Italian restaurant, maybe where they had a chalkboard menu and al fresco dining?  So I decided to create my card with a chalkboard theme featuring wine served with fresh figs and grapes.  It would be fun to be there on a warm day enjoying ordering from that menu.  I used a pattern paper from My Mine's Eye Chalk Studio pad with the text already printed.  I used a stamp from Flourishes "Dreaming of Florence" set by Marcella Hawley.  I heat embossed the image with White EP and then colored with pencils.  Added some Glossy Accents to the glass and decanter. Inked the edges of the Chalkboard with white ink from Hero Arts. Attached to a card base of Ivory CS.  I was pleased with how the colors came out on the dark paper.

Sunflower Greetings

 Welcome!  I am playing with another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches shown below.  I used a Repeat Impressions Sunflower stamp (yes, I have another sunflower stamp) stamped with Memento Toffee Crunch ink on White CS and colored with Copics.  Trimmed this with an oval die and placed on a green patterned mat cut with a scalloped oval die.  Used some die cuts of patterned paper and a polka dot background all from Kaiser Craft Jungle Bug pad to complete the card.  Stamped sentiment from Flourishes set in brown ink and added a dragonfly button from my stash.
I have had the sunflower stamp since 2015.

TwoFer Fun

Welcome!   One of the newest challenges in blogland and a fun one is the TwoFer Card Challenge - we are to make 2 different designs for 2 different occasions using the same stamps and/or dies. The August prompt is Geometric and I chose to use a rectangle stamp from Gina K Tropical Windows set. For the first card, I stamped the rectangle 5 times with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a White CS and spelled HELLO in Memento Red ink using a Martha Stewart alphabet set.   I added a Fancy Lady (my DH's name for her) from an old Flourishes set Glamour Girls that I stamped in black ink.  I stamped the feathers on her hat with Versamark and heat embossed with Red EP.  Finished with a card base of Red CS.

The second card has a Christmas theme.  I stamped the rectangle 3 times in blue, red, and green to make gifts for under the tree. I colored each gift with Copics  and decorated with designs using a gold pen. Added stamped and die cut bows to the packages. I stamped a tree with Annabelle stamps and Green ink and fussy cut before popping up on the card. A die cut star of Gold Metallic CS topped the tree and a Gold Embossed sentiment was added below the gifts.  Hero Arts die cuts and sentiment were used. Fun way to use the rectangle stamp. Used a Red CS for the base.

Cool Breezes on the Beach

Hello!  Back at the beach again.  This time my beach background is more on the abstract art style.  I sponged and swiped some DOI Salty Ocean on a White CS panel. Then did the same with DOI Antique Linen and Vintage Photo for the sand.  Sponged some Memento Summer Sky ink very lightly on the sky.  For the focus on my scene, I stamped the Adirondack chair using Flourishes Beach Life set (2012).  Used Vintage Photo ink for stamping and also heat embossed with Clear EP.  Colored in with water brush.  Stamped the sentiment from an old Mark's Finest Paper set (2010). Framed the scene with Bright Blue card base. Another one of a kind card.

Primroses and Stripes

Hello!  This card was inspired by the primroses and stripes on the saucer in the Just Us Girls Photo challenge shown below.  I used a old 2010 Flourishes stamp of Primroses designed by Marcella Hawley that I stamped on white CS with Memento Inks and colored with Copics.  I cut the flower with a die that I recently received in a Blog Candy. I created the background on a shimmery pink CS using  My Favorite Things Radiating Rays stencil, versamark, and gold EP.  I decided not to use a sentiment on the front.

Christmas Wreath from a Flower

Welcome!   I have been playing with Distress Oxide inks again and was inspired by a video by Sandy Allnock  to create a wreath.   I used an old Poinsettia stamp (about 1 inch) from Poinsettias and Boxwoods ( had at least since 2012) by Flourishes ( designer Marcella Hawley) and stamped in a circle design with Lucky Clover ink on a watercolor paper panel.  I used a water brush to fill in the color and make it more abstract looking.  Used Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick inks with a Copic and Clear Star pen to add decorations with a small circle stamp, bow stamp and a pine cone stamp both from GKD.  Added some Nuvo Crystal Dots of Rhubarb Crumble.   Added Sentiment and Snowflakes cut with Cheery Lynn dies and a Card Base all in a Shimmering  Pink Pearl CS.
