Fun and Quick Christmas

This card was made for the Craftyhazelnut's challenge to make a Christmas Card in less that 20 minutes. I decided that this would not take much time so I gave it a go.  Actually I did this in 10 minutes since I made a one layer card using Glossy White CS and a Darice embossing folder called Santa Chimney Top.  To color the embossed areas, I used 4 colors of Hero Arts Markers which were water-based and dried very quickly.  Finished with a Creative Vision Stamp heat embossed with Black EP.  My first thought was to do an all white card but then I remembered this EF and played with it.

Cherry Blossom Time

Today I have been inspired by the colors (pink, blues, green) and shapes (blossoms, dragonfly, circles)  from the photo for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge combined with the sketch layout from Sketch Saturday.   I stamped Rubber Stampede Cherry Blossom with Rich Cocoa ink on a white CS and colored with Pink, Green,  and Brown Copics.  I added a Dragonfly made with Stamp and Die from Creative dies using Nautical Blue ink.
The card was assembled with Embossed Pink Card Base, a layer of MME Pattern Paper, and Green Grosgrain ribbon.  Flourishes sentiment was inked with Rich Cocoa.

One Layer Encouragement

Today I have a card for the One Layer CAS Challenge at Stamp TV Mix it Up Monday.  I used GKD Sentiment from Inside and Out set that I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white CS. Then I embossed the card with Anna Griffin EF Acanthus and inked the raised surfaces with Memento Toffee Crunch and black inks.  I think this is CAS even though the design is all over the card because of it being so simple to create.

Mod Squad Challenge: Make a card of encouragement.
As You Like It Challenge: Use favorite style of embossing. Love dry many EF's to choose and so many styles.
Simon Monday Challenge: Anything Goes

Do you consider this a CAS card or not??
One definition of CAS is:
Clean and Simple (CAS)                    My Card
One main image                                   Consider the verse
Lots of open space (uncluttered)   Space between embossing too little? Should not have inked?
Limited layers & embellishments            No layers or Embellishment
Quick & easy to recreate                        Very Quick and Easy

Hole in One

Hello!  For this card, I used some Hero Arts Water-based Markers that I won sometime ago.  I inked a stamp from GKD Pressed Flowers set and stamped on White glossy paper which a new technique for me. The ink dried almost instantly.  I love the effects of this. Using circle dies I cut the image and placed it in a hole cut in the top layer of the card.  The top layer of White CS was embossed with Cuttlebug EF Swiss Dots, the very first EF I owned. Sentiment is a MFP's stamp inked with Memento Rosebud ink.

Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge: #198  This week's theme is Texture Me. To use your oldest embossing supply (folder, powder, or even a stylus and brass template). Used EF Swiss Dots.

You Make Me So Very Happy

To listen to some music, go to end of post and click on video.
Hello!  Thursday I had a "Playdate" with my friend Rita and we "played" with Distress Inks and these stamps from Power Poppy Geraniums Set.  We also played with MISTI...had to show off my new "Toy".    I am sharing my finished card today....wish I had made a picture of Rita's coloring on watercolor paper with the same colors.  After stamping on White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored with a water brush using Barn Door and Peeled Paint.  Taking a risk, I added splatters to the card...always afraid I will mess up trying this. I trimmed the image using a corner punch on 3 corners and then placed off center on Ombre  Pattern Paper from MME.  I used a Martha Stewart  scallop dot border punch on the lower edge and attached to a white Card Base.
This card and "playing" with Rita make me so very happy!

Spring Flowers

Hello!  I just love the colors in the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week but seldom use them.  The tiny flowers on the cupcake reminded me of  a PSX hydrangea stamp that I love and have had forever.  I colored small yellow pearls and added to the center of the flower that I stamped and colored in Copics.  I only used a small part of the image to fit the sketch that I used.

PSX Stamp, Papers and Such Sentiment, Memento Rich Cocoa and Grape Jelly, White CS, Bazzill Green and Lilac  CS, Purple scraps, Unknown Butterfly Punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Borders, Annabelle Pearls and Teardrop Pearls, Nesties Square dies.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge: #306 Colors Pistachio, Amethyst, Grape...think my colors are close enough.

Note Card with Music

I am back with another Black and White creation for Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge #258. I used stamps from MFP stamp set Just A  Note with Versafine Onyx Black ink on white CS and attached to a Black card base.  This makes a great note card....may  have to do a set for a gift.  I had to try a couple inks before I was happy with the results with Versafine ink.

Playing in the Breeze

Hello and welcome! Today I am playing with a digital image Breeze in Spring from A Day for Daisies.  I simply colored with Copics after printing and edged with Summer Sky ink.  I placed this on an embossed pattern Paper from Pink Paislee Color Wash pad. EF is Darice Floral Frenzy.  I did add some blue sponging to the mostly pink paper. This was attached to a White card base and then added a Vellum strip heat embossed with Live the Sweet Life stamp from Flourishes.  Sorry the sentiment is hard to read in the photo.
