Thanks with Some Pumpkins

Welcome!  Still thinking of fall leaves and pumpkins.  I came across this cute Dearie Dolls digital image in my files and decided to print out and put on a thank you card. I added some coloring to the already colored version and trimmed with a die and placed on a brown mat and then an embossed orange card base.  Used a Sizzix  EF Thanks.

Pumpkin Full of Roses

Hello!  Don't you just love "Pumpkin Season"....could be another name for Fall?  And I love using pumpkins on cards....maybe it's the bright color that gets me.  I just had to make this card following the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches...just called out for a pumpkin in that square element.   And that photo inspiration from Time Out challenges said to add some orange roses.  The layering rose stamps from Gina K's Old Country Roses were perfect for that and I popped them up with foam tape.  Used Gina K Ivory and Grass Green CS's with a pattern paper from a Fancy Pants Designs pad.  Used Cheery Lynn Large Flourish die (rearranged) and Nesties square dies. Pumpkin stamp from Repeat Impressions.  Sentiment stamp from a Gina K set. Used Memento inks for stamping and Copics for coloring. Finished with some bling of Orange Dew Drops.

Forest Of Trees

Hello! Welcome to my blog!  I was inspired by Cheri's project of the week posted on The House That Stamps Built using soft shadow resist technique in the making of this card.   I stamped Repeat Impressions Large Pine Forest on white CS with Versamark and heat embossed with White EP.  I then added Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and SU Bordering Blue ink with a stencil brush and wiped off the ink on the embossed area. I also added Liquid Pearl snow.  I die cut the image and layered on a square of Green CS assembling my card following the Challenge Sketch below.  My Glossy White card base, embossed with Darice EF Snowflakes, was inked with Green Copic- not the neatest way to this. Next time I would use a layer of Green CS instead.  Finished with some Snowflakes, Blue Grosgrain ribbon strips and Blue Rhinestones.  Snowflakes were die cut with a Cheery Lynn die from Build a Flower Dies. Also used Nesties square die.

Challenges:
The House That Stamps Built: What If? Wednesday Sketch #02616.  I always try to use Repeat Impressions stamps for my entry.
Shopping Our Stash Weekly: Challenge SOS275 is Three Trees-use at least 3 trees.
Die Cut Diva: October is the time to emboss.  Used both dry and heat embossing with dies for "snowflakes" and squares.
Alphabet Challenge Blog: R is for Recipe Challenge-use at least 3 of the recipe ingredients. Used Stamps, Dies, Embossing, and Ribbon.

After posting the photograph, I realized that my image was not centered on the Green Panel. OOPS! I will correct the position before using the card but will not take the time to redo the photo.

Words + Pattern + Pumpkin = Card

Welcome Friends! I was looking for a pattern paper for another project when I came across a floral pattern with the colors Orange, Turquoise, and Violet that was perfect for the color challenge at The House That Stamps Built.... so I set it aside and came back to it later to create this card using a sketch from The Challenge shown below.  I place a panel of the pattern from a GKD paper pad on to an Orange Card Base that I embossed with Darice EF Floral Frenzy  and added a Pumpkin image made with a Repeat Impressions stamp and colored with Copics.  Added the words cut with Cheery Lynn dies from Turquoise and Violet CS scraps.

Bouquet of Sunflowers

This quick and simple CAS card was made with a Power Poppy digital stamp colored with Copics and placed on a card base of Brown CS with a mat of Authenique Pattern Paper.  The image was framed with Brown CS cut with Nesties oval dies.  I created the bouquet by using Photoshop to layering the flowers.  I think this makes a nice notecard or I can add a verse when sending the card for a specific occasion.

Birthday Wishes

Welcome!  This is my third post today. Spent some time this weekend in the studio.
I was thinking of several challenges as I made this card using stamps from Repeat Impressions Happy Cling Set. I stamped the words on White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black and SU Ruby Red inks and cut with an Oval die and then embossed with Gingham EF.  I attached this to a Black CS mat and a card base of Red CS.  Decided it needed some happy butterflies that I cut with a Cheery Lynn die.

Winter Love

Hello!  Today is a very rainy day.....a good day to play in the studio.  So I created some cards to enter in  recent challenges.....played with winter and snow themes.  I pulled out a Heartfelt Creations stamp Snowman Melt Your Heart.  I stamped part of the Snowman Head ( left off the bird on his shoulder and the holly on his hat) on white CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored him with Copics and added a couple of white CS circles to give him a body.  I added some gems for buttons and a punched Red Heart to his hat. I attached him to an embossed layer of Blue CS which I stamped with a HFC Sentiment with Memento Lady Bug ink. After attaching this to the Card Base of Red,  I popped up a Red Foil Heart that I have been hoarding.

Where Is The Sunshine

Hello!  About the only sunshine that I have seen lately has been on cards and stamps.  In Ohio, July has been as cloudy and rainy as June was.  So in the studio I decided to play with a Sunflower stamp from Power Poppy Sunny Harvest set and combine it with some Pattern Papers from MME My Favorite Things pad.  After stamping the image using Memento Espresso Truffle ink,  I chose my colors from the papers to use as inspiration.  I colored with Copics Y17, Y23, R46, R59, G21, G82, E07, E35, E43.  The sentiment was stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk.  I cut the patterns and image using  different Nesties Rectangle dies and assembled the card following the Sketch from Die-Cut Diva Challenge.  I added some brads colored with Copic  to finish.   I really like the colors and patterns that I used.  I hope I brought some sunshine to life.

Challenges:
Power Poppy: Power Spark challenge is Hang Some Paper.  We are to use at least 3 pattern papers.
Die Cuttin Divas: #223 is the July sketch challenge  using die cuts.

Today I am playing with a digital image Breeze in Spring from A Day for Daisies.  I simply colored with Copics after printing and edged with Summer Sky ink.  I placed this on an embossed pattern Paper from Pink Paislee Color Wash pad. EF is Darice Floral Frenzy.  I did add some blue sponging to the mostly pink paper. This was attached to a White card base and then added a Vellum strip heat embossed with Live the Sweet Life stamp from Flourishes.  Sorry the sentiment is hard to read in the photo.

An Angel with Hearts

Another Valentine for some of the many Valentine and Love Challenges.  For this one I used A Day For Daisy digital image free this week here.  I printed the image and colored with Copics and used some Wink of Stella for shine but I just cannot get the shine to photograph. I kept the card CAS with a card base of Pink CS with a layer of Red CS and then the image edged with a gold marker.  I stamped a Repeat Impressions sentiment twice with Memento Lady Bug ink and cut with a Nesties scalloped heart die and attached with foam dots.  I used an asymmetrical layout to take advantage of the falling hearts.
Challenges:
A Day for Daisy:  Challenge #114 Valentine-y...use A Day for Daisy image.
