Love Bears Repeating

Hello! What better to do on a very cold winter than post some cards?  I have been trying to send some of my stash of cards to places such as nursing homes. I recently mailed a package of 65 and another one of 50 cards to places where I hope they will bring joy to people.
Now I am hoping to enter some cards in some of the fun challenges that I have been missing.  This card made for Valentine's is a very clean and simple one that I multi stamped a sentiment and hearts in Memento Red Ink on a white panel and then attached to a card base of pattern paper.  I added some red glitter glue to the center of the hearts for a bit of sparkle. Stamps: Gina K Designs Heart Stamp set.
Challenges:
Mod Squad Challenge: All about Love. Use word Love on front.
Double D Challenges: Valentine Love
Allsorts Challenge: Week 610 Love is.....💓
Monthly Mix Challenge: Gina K Designs February challenge is "Love is in the Air"-Love Theme

Butterflies Fly Again

Hello! Sometimes I am immediately inspired by a challenge and know at once what I am going to create but other times, it takes awhile to come up with an idea.  I knew at once what I was going to use for the Just Us Girls Photo Inspiration shown below.   It might not be acceptable but I knew that I wanted to recycle some butterflies that were on a card that I had received some time ago.  I carefully removed two  die cut butterflies that were already enhanced with glitter and gemstones and set aside while I created a card for them.  I printed a digital image of orchids (inspired by the JUGS challenge graphic) that I had from Beccy's Place on Ivory Cardstock and colored with Copics and Pencils and stamped a birthday sentiment from Gina K Designs. I attached the image on a card base of the same Ivory CS and adhered the saved butterflies. I drew on the antennas with a black marker.  I am pleased with the results and happy to have found a use for the beautiful butterflies.

Holiday Tissue Box Cover

Hello!  I thought I'd change things up a bit on my blog and post something other that a card.  I also enjoy making other paper projects especially those using patterned papers.  I created this tissue box cover using papers from Heartfelt Creations Festive Holly Collections. It was simply a matter of cutting panels, scoring, and taping them together but it took a little planning to match up the pattern designs. On the lid I added an oval border of white glossy CS to the oval opening and some die cut snowflakes from silver and glitter papers. Also did some snowflakes heat embossed with Silver EP.  Kept embellishments to a minimum but did fussy cut some Cardinals from the patterns to pop up on the lid. (See right side of the box).

Sharing this project with these challenges:

Recycle Cards

Hello! Today I am playing with a challenge to recycle Christmas Cards using elements from cards to create a new project.  Above is a photo of a card that I made taking the banner from one card and the barn from a second one.  I inked a white card base with Summer Sky ink and attached the barn and banner that I took from the cards shown below.  How simple was that and a great way to reuse items.  The foil and glitter were great accents on the cards.
Challenge:
Winter Wonderland: It's Snowtime! Have snowflakes falling on my card.
Fab 'n' Funky Challenges: #421 Recycle your Christmas Cards.

I found a lot of elements on cards to recycle and am sharing another one that was very simple to do. I simply removed the topper that was attached with foam dots, trimmed the edge to fit a smaller card and attached to a Bright Green card base. The original card is shown on the right below.

Snowflakes Falling

Hello!  Today I have 2 versions of a Christmas card using Repeat Impressions Snow Flakes stamps and a sentiment stamp from Ornaments and Snow Globes series.   I stamped the Snowflakes and sentiment with Versamark ink on Blue CS and heat embossed with WOW Silver EP.  I inked the edge of the panel with Pilot Silver Metallic Marker and attached to white card base.  Love the details of the snowflake stamps with the sparkly silver embossing.
For the second card, I repeated all the steps in the above card but added Ultra-fine Crystal Glitter on the panel with double side adhesive paper.  It's a bit hard to see the stamped elements in the photo. But it's a very glittery card!

Sparkly Trees

Hello! How quickly November went by!  My card today was made with a lot of glitter!  I used a tree stamp from Gina K Designs Northwoods set which I actually stamped twice in the background with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Clear EP but that layer got lost when I stamped the trees with green Memento inks in the foreground and added a layer of Crystal Glitter using a double sided adhesive paper.  So much for my original design.....the card evolved into another look.  To the glittery image,I added a frame of green handmade textured paper from my stash and adhered to a white card base.  Finished with sentiment embossed with silver EP that I fussy cut.

Playing with Glitter

Hello!  I am not one to use glitter very often.  In fact, I try to avoid it all together because of the mess.  But after seeing some cards covered completely with glitter, I had to give it a try.  I used tree stamps from Gina K Designs Northwoods 2 set that I stamped with Versamark on Navy CS and heat embossed with Silver EP. I then used double side adhesive paper on the panel and added Crystal Glitter to cover the entire area. Used a Swiffer dust cloth to clean up the mess. Placed the shiny scene on a Silver CS mat and the a Navy card base.  Finished with a Hero Arts sentiment stamped with Silver EP on  die cut of white CS.
I made a second card with the same tree stamps, Silver embossing powder, and Navy CS but without the glitter.  I added snow with Liquid Pearls and edged the panel with Silver Metallic Pen before attaching to a white card base.  The sentiment from a magazine freebie was heat embossed with Silver EP.

Moon and Stars

Hello!  I have another card featuring Stencil Monoprint.  I learned about this technique on CAS Mix  Up Card challenge.  I used Hero Arts Moon and Stars stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey to create the monoprint on white CS.  I then laid the stencil back on the dried print and sponged with Stormy Sky Ink.  I cut a panel and attached to a Shimmery Yellow Pearl CS.  I stamped the Hero Arts sentiment with Memento Paris Dusk ink and heat embossed with clear EP. Attached die cut stars using Hero arts dies.  I added glitter to the sides of the panel using double side tape and Stampendous Crystal Glitter.  I hope you can see the glitter and the variation of colors on the monoprint.  Hard to see in the photo. Looks better in real life.

Glittery Glasses

Hello!  I made this card a few days ago when it was too cold to be outside and I spent my time in the studio.  This one was made with  scraps of red  and light gold glitter paper and white CS.  I stamped  wine glasses on the glitter paper with Repeat Impressions stamps and fussy cut and placed them on the red glitter paper.  I embossed the white card base with Divine Swirls EF and stamped the old Christmas Sentiment from stash with versamark and heat embossed with Red EP.   I never have used that sentiment but it was perfect for my card.

Glittery Thanks

Hello! I thought I'd add a bit of sparkle to my day with this thank you card.   I am behind on challenges at The House That Stamps Built and thought this card would be a good entry for the DCC126 Glitter Challenge I stamped the Repeat Impressions "Thanks" stamp with versamark ink on  black CS and embossed twice with Zing Silver EP.   I fussy cut the word and adhered to some fancy specialty paper that I have been hoarding and layered that to Silver Glitter Paper also hoarded in my stash.  I adhered that to a black card base.    This make a very Dramatic Thank You and should impress someone.  The black fiber like paper with silver touches really is the star of this creation.   I love the look of double embossing with silver EP....give it a try.

Life is But a Dream

Hello!  I have been playing with the August Hero Arts kit that I received on Monday.   Just for fun, I created this dreamy, celestial theme card using the fancy window cut die and stamps from the kit.  I created a watercolor background with watercolor paper inked with Distress Oxide ink Faded Jeans and Salt.  Hope the effects of the salt can be seen in the photo. Playing with More Glitter

Hello!  I have several digital images from All Dressed Up that I have never used so I printed this one out for a challenge at Fab N Funky Little Girls but after making the card I realized I should have used a Little Girl image but I think these girls may be young enough to qualify.   I decided to use pinks and aquas for my designs adding glitter to the heart and strip with glue and tape. I used Gary's Ultrafine Crystal Glitter.  Added more sparkle to the "girls" with Sakura Clear Star pen and glitter pens.  Finished with GKD Stamp in SU Taken with Teal ink.

On the back of this card, I used my new stamp from BOSSYJOCIE Crafty Goods that I had custom made for my Studio.

It's Cold Outside

Second Post Today:
Hello! Here in Ohio, it is very cold!!   More reason to stay inside and make cards in my warm studio!
I printed off  a digital image, already colored, from Dearie Dolls....just love all her cute images.  I placed the image on a mat of red CS and heat embossed a sentiment from Creative Clear stamps.   I tried something new by embossing the front of my Blue card base  with Cuttlebug EF Snowflakes using Versamark ink on the folder and then heat embossed with Snowflake Embossing Tinsel with glitter ( same as used on sentiment).  Of course I had glitter everywhere and I had just cleaned my studio. But I loved the cold, snowy effect that I achieved.  I also added some of the tinsel to the image by using a Versamark pen on the snowflakes.
Tip: To clean up the glitter, use a Swifter cloth to pick it up.

Challenges:
Cards In Envy: Snow Birds card challenge. Must have one bird on card.
Paper Sweeties Challenge: January Photo Inspiration shown below. Inspired by the snowmen and bright colors.

Peaceful Snowman

Hello! Snow is on the way so I was inspired to build a Snowman with paper.  I stamped his head with an old Heartfelt Creations stamp, colored with Copics and fussy cut.  I cut rest of his body with Nesties circle and oval dies.  His arms were cut freehand from Brown CS scraps.  I assembled him on a White CS panel embossed with Darice Snowflakes EF and added some shine with Perfect Pearls and Sakura Stardust glitter pen to the snowflakes.  Added a strip of Pattern Paper scrap, stamped the GKD sentiment with Memento Red Ink, and attached to a Red Card Base.

Seashells and Sand

Hello! This post is a quick and easy card made with Gina K Sand CS, Gina K sentiment and speckle stamps from Gifts from the Sea set, and some stickers from EK Success Sea Shells and Sand assortment.  I have had these stickers for several years and thought of them when I saw this week's  recipe challenge at Less is More to use stickers, sticky labels or peel-offs on your cards.  I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink for the sentiment and sand speckles stamped on the card.  I like the colors and glitter(does not show very well on the photo) on the stickers.

One Layer Christmas

Hello!  Getting an early start on Christmas with this one layer card.  Power Poppy Stocking and Sentiment stamps (Poinsettia Set) were inked on  GKD Heavy weight CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the image with Copics.....they do not bleed on this CS so it is perfect when making a one layer card colored with Copics.   I added some glitter with Stardust Pen and embossed a border with Cuttlebug EF that I inked with Memento Ladybug ink.
