Holly Jolly Tag

Hello!  Welcome to the studio! Today I am posting a card for Monthly Mix Challenge at Gina K Designs. Arjita challenged us to make a Tag on a Card using Red and White. I used Gina K. Design products including Red Velvet Card Stock and Fancy Foil, Holiday Flora Foil Mates, Holly Jolly Greetings Foil Mates, and White with Gold Ribbon.  I used red foil on the sentiment but it does not show very well in the photo. Looks BIRL.  I also used a combination of Spellbinder Dies to create my tag shape.  Once I did the foiling on the sentiment and background, this project came together quickly.

Do You Dance?

Hello! Do you dance when no one is watching?  These three ballerinas love to dance and hope you do too.  I created this card for the challenge at The Library Challenge #54 Ballet Shoes.  I was inspired by the 3 Ballerinas and colors on the cover.  I printed and colored the ballerina digital image 3 times from Dearie Dolls. The original image was colored in pink and I recolored 2 more images in red and blue  through the magic of Photoshop Elements.  I added more shading with Copic markers and some glitter with a Stardust pen. I arranged the images and sentiment and printed using a background frame on white CS. I attached this to a red card base. Just for fun I added a border of red foil to represent the curtain using double sided tape.

Love My Coffee

Welcome! Hope you have time for a cup of coffee!  I'll tell my DH to pour another one.  My DH is the coffee barista in the house and this cute digi  from Dearie Dolls reminds me of him in a way....but he does not have a moustache.  But he is always ready to serve a cup of hot coffee. 

I printed this colored digital image (never used before) from my stash of images on white card stock.  I added some color to the shoes and skin tones with Copics.   Added some red foil to his kerchief using some quick glue and added glossy accents to the cup and shoes.  Printed the sentiment with Angelface font which I just downloaded. ( Been looking for a hand written script like this and found it.)

Finished the card by inking the edges of the trimmed image with a Black Copic and attaching it to a card base of patterned paper with circles.

A Peony for A Birthday

Welcome!  Switching off to making some birthday cards but still doing Christmas cards.  I created this design for the Creative Confetti Challenge Free For All - to create anything  you desire using Power Poppy stamps.  I pulled out one of my favorites Power Poppy clear stamp sets Peony Muse and stamped the smaller peony with Memento Pink ink (heat embossed with Clear EP) and the leaves and stems with Memento Green Ink.  I colored the image with Copics and used a White Pencil for some highlights. I trimmed the image with an Oval die and cut a mat from Gold Metallic CS with a Scallop Oval die. I attached this at an angle on to DCWV patterned stripe paper with gold foil accent stripes.  Added a White Organdy Ribbon with Gold Threads and attached die cut words cut from Pink CS with Cheery Lynn Dies.  Added some sparkle to the words with Sakura Clear Star pen. Finished with a card base of heavy weight white cardstock.

Recycle Cards

Hello! Today I am playing with a challenge to recycle Christmas Cards using elements from cards to create a new project.  Above is a photo of a card that I made taking the banner from one card and the barn from a second one.  I inked a white card base with Summer Sky ink and attached the barn and banner that I took from the cards shown below.  How simple was that and a great way to reuse items.  The foil and glitter were great accents on the cards.

I found a lot of elements on cards to recycle and am sharing another one that was very simple to do. I simply removed the topper that was attached with foam dots, trimmed the edge to fit a smaller card and attached to a Bright Green card base. The original card is shown on the right below.

Winter Cards

 Sharing a couple of Winter / Holiday cards that I made with foil accented cardstock from my stash and used with Blue CS and Silver Metallic CS.  The top card was finished with a precut and stamped topper and holly leaves cut with a GKD die.  The second card uses die cuts and stamp  from GKD sets.

CAS Christmas

Hello! Another Christmas card with some foil and gold embossing.  I used Gina K Designs stamps from Peace & Joy and Joyful Holidays. The image was heat embossed with Gold EP, colored with markers and fussy cut. I attached 2 strips of Clearsnap foil with tape on white CS and heat embossed the sentiment.  This was placed on Green Foil CS from DCWV.  Easy and quick.

Second Post

Another Christmas card!  I stamped Gina K Designs Cardinal from Peace and Joy with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  I added a strip of Clear Snap Red Foil that  was embossed with a Cuttlebug EF.     I added a strip of DCWV Green Foiled  CS and attached the words die cut in DCWV Red Foiled CS with Cheery Lynn dies.  This one layer card will be easy to mail.

Christmas Cardinal

 

Hello!  There's no better way to keep cool on a hot day than thinking of Christmas.   Since there are several challenges this month to create Christmas cards, that is what I did using GKD Stamps from Peace and Joy set.  I colored the Cardinal with Copics after stamping on GKD White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black.  To "dress up" the card I added 2 strips of Red Foil using Clear Snap Foil and double sided tape.  I attached to a card base of Black CS.

Candy for My Valentine

Hello!  It is interesting how some ideas for card challenges come so quickly and others take a lot of thought.   When I saw the Retro Rubber Challenge sketch shown below, I immediately thought of a stamp from Flourishes that dates back to 2012.  It was a stamp of a Heart Shape box of candy ....I guess it was the double heart in the sketch that brought it to mind.  I stamped the sentiment and box on white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics and Glaze pens. I added some Glossy Accents to the Candy to give some dimension.  I used Clear Snap Red and Gold Foils for the strips on the right side which I adhered with Scor-tape.  Added some gold sequins for even more sparkle.  The card base is Gold Metallic CS.

Snowflakes and Snowman

 

 Second Post Today

Welcome!  I am playing with some Foil Pattern Paper that I received in a magazine for Christmas.  I thought the snowflake theme paper with silver foil accents was perfect to make a card for the Winter Wonderland challenge at The Shabby Tea Room (Graphic shown on right).  I stamped a Snowman designed by Marcella Hawley with Memento Black ink and colored with Copics.  I cut it with an oval die and matted on a scalloped oval of Silver Mirror Metallic CS.  The Sentiment from Creative Clear Stamps was heat embossed with silver EP, fussy cut, edged with blue ink, and attached with foam tape.  I assembled the card with White card base, a layer of the sparkly Silver Metallic CS, the Pattern paper with Foil Accents and the image. Added some more shine and sparkle to the image with Wink of Stella and Stickles Frosted Lace.

Christmas Stocking

Second Post today
Hello!  I made this One Layer Card with Power Poppy Stocking  and Sentiment Stamps using heavyweight Neenah White CS.  I heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and colored with Markers and Pencils and added some Liquid Pearls to the Cuff and Handle of the Stocking.  I added a Stripe of Red Foil using Clear Snap Designer Foil and Scor-pal tape.  So easy to use and it blends into the card.

Christmas Tag

 

 

 Hello!  Today I am showing a Tag made for Cheery Lynn Challenge # 211 To Make a Tag.  My design is CAS using gold Metallic Paper for the tag that I embossed with Snowflakes.  I attached White Snowflakes die cut with Cheery Lynn  Snowflakes 3 and Merry Christmas die cut with Cheery Lynn dies in Red Foil.

I decided to make a card by attaching the above tag to a white card base.  I used the Cheery Lynn Snowflake 3 die to embossed 2 corners of the card base.  I also edged the card with a Pilot Gold Marker.

Joy to the World

Hello!  I cannot get away from making Christmas cards since there are so many fun year long challenges.
This was inspired by Craftyhazelnut's challenge Joy to the World. I pulled out a sentiment from a Flourishes set and embossed it in gold on a punch out topper from a Free Foil Accents Luxury Card Kit called Festive Flourishes that was inside an issue of Paper Inspirations.  I added this to a gold foil accented music sheet pattern paper from the same kit.  This was attached to a mat of gold metallic CS and a card base of blue-green CS.  So simple but elegant I think.

Christmas Houses with Wishes

Second post today:
Good Morning!  Happy Sunday to you!  I have been playing with my Cameo to create these houses for a card for the Challenge at Merry Monday.  Instead of using about 6 different colors of cardstock, I cut the designs from white CS and colored the elements with Copics.  The hard part of this design was getting all those windows punched out. I had to touch up some of the panes with markers. I tore white card stock strips to make the  snow banks around the houses and cut puffy clouds for the sky to add to the blue card base.  I added a punch out sentiment with gold foil accents from a Christmas card kit. Lovely Gold Foil Accents

 

Hello! As long as it is so cold outside, I am still in the mood for making Christmas cards.  This one is one of the quickest cards that I have ever made....I was not timing the process but it must have taken less than 10 minutes.  I used a topper and polka dot paper both with gold that are from a Free Foil Accents Luxury Card Kit called Festive Flourishes that was inside an issue of Paper Inspirations that was a Christmas gift.  I used a card base of Metallic Gold cardstock and added a layer of the gold dotted paper and  a gold trimmed ribbon, and attached the lovely topper with pop up foam. I finished this with a Gold Metallic Snowflake that I cut with Cheery Lynn Snowflake 3 die tucked under the topper. I love the ornate design of this die and the foil accents on the paper and image.  I have had the card kit sitting on my desk just waiting to be used.
