Candy Hearts for My Love

Welcome! I was inspired to create this card by Inspiration Station Challenge #23 Photo of Candy Hearts. The photo reminded of an image that I had on file in Print Shop.  I located the picture and printed on Glossy Paper. It even had some of the same colors as the inspiration, but I added more pink and green using pink cardstock as base and green cs as a mat.  I stamped and heat embossed Love You! on one of the hearts and created a sentiment with stamps and scraps of paper to complete the card.  I loved these candy hearts as a kid.
Challenges:

Double Trouble Paper Crafting Challenge: #103 Sweet Coloring Challenge.  Used 3 of the colors, included hearts, and shared with Inspiration Station.

The Key To My Heart Belongs To.....

Welcome! Another post and another Valentine card.  I have combined 2 challenges as inspiration for this design....one a sketch and one a color combo.  I selected 2 patterned papers that included the colors that I needed for the Color Throwdown Challenge and added a Kraft Card Stock for the base and one of the Heart die cuts. Following the sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches, I attached the papers to the Card Base and layered 2 Hearts cut with Spellbinders dies. I embossed both papers with Cuttlebug EF's-Polka Dots and Divine Swirls.  Added an embroidered heart from my stash and the topped with a key cut with Paper Sweeties Die from Gold Metallic paper.  I thought that I had a sentiment stamp (must have imagined it) that went with my card theme but could not find it, so I created my own with Photoshop. Liked how it came out.
Challenges:

Color Throwdown: Ctd678 Pink, Red, Cranberry, Kraft

Dies R Us Challenge: 186 Valentine's/ Love. Used Spellbinders Heart Dies and Paper Sweeties Heart Die.

Love Bears Repeating

Hello! What better to do on a very cold winter than post some cards?  I have been trying to send some of my stash of cards to places such as nursing homes. I recently mailed a package of 65 and another one of 50 cards to places where I hope they will bring joy to people.
Now I am hoping to enter some cards in some of the fun challenges that I have been missing.  This card made for Valentine's is a very clean and simple one that I multi stamped a sentiment and hearts in Memento Red Ink on a white panel and then attached to a card base of pattern paper.  I added some red glitter glue to the center of the hearts for a bit of sparkle. Stamps: Gina K Designs Heart Stamp set.
Challenges:
Mod Squad Challenge: All about Love. Use word Love on front.
Double D Challenges: Valentine Love
Allsorts Challenge: Week 610 Love is.....💓

Heart Two Heart

Hello! Back to more cold and snow so I am back in my studio!  Playing again with the Twofer Card Challenge #23 Hearts. I am using a Heart Die from Gina K Designs You Have My Heart set.  I die cut a bunch of hearts from cardstock in my stash....used up some scraps.  I created a birthday card using a patterned paper that was perfect for celebrating a birthday.  I picked hearts inspired by the colors in the paper and made a "bunch of balloons" held together with metallic gold string (thread). I floated the balloons a top the background paper popped up with foam.  Double cut the Happy Birthday dies by Cheery Lynn  from Pink and Yellow cardstock and attached to the card. Used a Pink card base to finish.
I made a Valentine for the second card.  I used a  heart die cut from Red cardstock, popped up on red foam, attached to a die cut stamped heart(red ink on white), attached to a red circle and then a White Doily. I actually embossed the doily with Versamark ink and White EP to give it some shine and body.  I completed the design with a Red card base and a sentiment heat embossed with the White EP. Stamps, dies and EP are from Gina K Designs.

Other challenges:
Use Your Stuff: Anything Goes
Dies R Us Challenge: #137 Birthdays.  Used Cheery Lynn and Gina K Designs dies.
Just Add Ink: #488 no challenge guidelines this week, only that you create a "new" project with a celebratory theme. Celebrating a birthday.
Double D Challenges: Fun with Balloons. Took inspiration from the heart shape balloon and bright colors on mood board.

Hearts with Love

Welcome to my studio!  I have created 2 cards for the Twofer Card Challenge which is Hearts.  I used the same small hearts stamps from GKD You Have My Heart set.  I also used the same Scalloped Heart dies from Spellbinders but that just happened by chance.  The Musical Valentine card shown on the left features partial die cutting and  guitar and sentiment stamps from the same set as the hearts.  I doodled some dots around the white heart. Used Memento Lady Bug ink and Red and White CS.

The Birthday card uses the same heart stamps hanging from a GKD branch stamp that I modified to be a tree. The word stamps are from Winnie & Walter set.  Used Memento Lady Bug, Bamboo Leaves, and Rich Cocoa inks with White and Fresh Asparagus CS. Embossed white layer with Cuttlebug Wicker Weave EF.  I was going to make the theme of this card All Things Grow with Love but that did not work out.

Challenges:
Twofer Card Challenge: Challenge #23 Two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps, stencils, and/or dies. Theme is Hearts.
Happy Little Stampers: January Anything Goes with Dies.
Dies R Us Challenge: #136 Anything Goes using any brand of metal die that DRU sells.
CAS Mix Up Card Challenge: Partial Die-cutting + Stamping + Your Choice.  Did some doodling with Alcohol Marker.

Truckin' with Heart

Hello!  Playing with dies from Cheapo Dies to create a card with a lot of love! Die cut the truck from DCWV Foil CS,  tires from Black and Silver CS, hearts from Red CS and Metallic Silver CS, words from Red CS. Assembled the pieces on a panel of White CS that I edged with Silver Metallic Marker. Attached that to a panel of Patterned Paper and a card base of GKD Red CS.  Love the way this came together for a fun Valentine card.
I put this all together with GKD Connect Glue....this is the best glue ever. You must give it a try. I never liked to use glue before....too messy....but this works just great!  I was not paid for this endorsement.

Candy for My Valentine

Hello!  It is interesting how some ideas for card challenges come so quickly and others take a lot of thought.   When I saw the Retro Rubber Challenge sketch shown below, I immediately thought of a stamp from Flourishes that dates back to 2012.  It was a stamp of a Heart Shape box of candy ....I guess it was the double heart in the sketch that brought it to mind.  I stamped the sentiment and box on white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics and Glaze pens. I added some Glossy Accents to the Candy to give some dimension.  I used Clear Snap Red and Gold Foils for the strips on the right side which I adhered with Scor-tape.  Added some gold sequins for even more sparkle.  The card base is Gold Metallic CS.

Challenges:
Retro Rubber Challenge #30: Getting Sketchy with stamps from 2012.
Crafty Sentiments: Theme is Valentine
Addicted to Stamps and More: Make Your Mark-used Copics and Glaze Pens

Card With Love

Hello!   It's that time of the year to make Valentine cards.   This one was fairly simple to create with Gina K Designs stamps from A Year of Flowers 2 set by Melanie.  I made some quick shiny heart embellishments by punching out the border and saving the small hearts to coat with Glossy Accents.  ...better than using metal brads.  I hope that you can see the shininess of the hearts.

Other Supplies: White and Red Card Stock, SU Ruby Red and Always Artichoke inks, EK Success Border Punch, Sakura Clear Star Pen.

Challenges:
Stamp TV: Mix It Up Monday Challenge-Handmade Embellishments
Crafty Sentiments: Challenge Theme is Valentine
Mod Squad Challenge:  Love Is  In the Air
Addicted to CAS: Challenge #80 Red
