Banner Birthday

Welcome! The banner day continues in the studio.  Playing again with banners for the challenge at Double D.  I had papers and stamps on my desk from a kit I received with a magazine Make Special Cards (2017) and decided to use them for a birthday card with banners.  I used a die cut and papers to create the banner on a green twine that I draped across the card of white card stock and added strips of patterned papers. Stamped and embossed the birthday sentiment from Paper Pretties and the love label from the kit that I fussy cut and attached with the twine. Finished with a bright green card base.

Happy Card for Someone Special

Hello! It's a Banner Day in the studio when I used up some of my old stash.  Today I pulled out items from a Crate Paper collection including patterned paper, punch out banners, stick on banners, and a Happy paper clip.  I arranged these on a background of patterned paper with some stick on labels from GCD Studios to create a happy, smiley card for someone special. Attached to a card base of bright blue.  This card was made without the use of any stamps.
Challenges:
Allsorts Challenge: Week 566/7 Something Old, Something New. Used a lot of old.
Double D Challenges: Banners. Used lot of colors and different shapes of banners.

Cards of the Same Paper

Hello!  I do not usually include more that one card in a post but today I am showing 2 cards that I made using Patterned Papers and Pre Die Cut Flowers and Banners from Crate Paper DIY Shop Collection.   I am trying to use some of the items from my old stash and I love to create cards from patterned papers.
The top card has an GKD Ivory CS base with a layer of mini floral pattern topped with a flower die cut with Gold Glitter.  I stamped the GKD Birthday Wishes from Wild Blossoms set with Versamark on red Vellum strip and heat embossed with Gold EP.
Challenges:
Time Out Challenges: Challenge #60 CASE  With Your Own Twist ...Card by Therese shown below left.  I used her layout, sentiment on vellum at a slant, and floral theme.  I changed up the colors and background design.
Stamp TV: Mix It Up Monday Challenge-Birthday Card
Seize The Birthday: Anything Goes Birthday

The card below uses the same pattern paper with a green card base.  I added the precut doily banner and flower. The Happy Birthday was cut with Cheery Lynn dies from the top layer so that the words show up in green.

Banner Days

Welcome!  I am playing again with the August sketch challenge from Happy Little Stampers and created this card combing some pattern paper from MME Lost & Found Paper pad and a banner that I made with ink and triangles from a pattern paper.  I love the print showing birds with the banners.  I used a Repeat Impressions sentiment stamp with SU Rose Red ink. Card base is Bazzill Berry Sensation CS.  I consider this a CAS card but  the print may be too much to qualify as CAS, but I am going to enter at Addicted to CAS and let them decide if there is enough white space???

Challenges:
Happy Little Stampers: August Sketch Challenge
Addicted to CAS: Code word banners.  CAS or not???? I think the simplicity and easy to make card makes this CAS.

Have a Banner Birthday

Hello! I have been missing in action for the past week, but was busy in my Studio doing some organizing and decorating my work space. More on that to come and maybe I will post some pictures of the changes on a future post.
Now I am trying to catch up with some of the challenges that I follow and play.  This card combines Sketch, Theme and Color challenges.  I stamped the trio of banners with a Flourishes stamp Under the Big Top in Memento Bahama Blue, Cottage Ivy, and Dandelion inks on White CS.  Added a punched Butterfly in Blue and with Yellow Glitter Stickles on the wings,  Also added some of the Glitter Stickles to the yellow banner. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions.  Used Blue CS for the base and layer of embossed Yellow CS. (Swiss Dots FF)

Addicted to CAS: #69 Code word is Banners
Repeat Impressions: WIW Color Challenge Lemon, Lime, Aqua

Come One! Come All to the Circus!

Hello!  I am now on a Circus theme roll.   I am using Flourishes Under The Big Top stamp set for all the images and sentiment. This is the first time that I have used this stamp set.   I triple stamped the Ticket stamp across the bottom of the Red Card Base. Above that is a White CS strip stamped with the Circus Tent, banner, and sentiment. I added some white and black twine from stash along the rope of the banner.  The top strip is a Dotted Pattern Paper from a Pebbles pad. Inks used were Memento Tuxedo Black and Love Letter.

Challenges:
CAS Colours & Sketches: Challenge is Sketch #91 on right
CASology: Week #113 Cue Card is Three. I used the ticket stamp 3 times and the tent is for a 3 ring circus.
Papertake Weekly Challenge: Repeat, Repeat!  I have repeated the use of the ticket.
Crafty Sentiments Challenge: Spots and/or Stripes.  I have stripes on the tent and pennants and spots on the top of the card.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Happy Birthday, Jacob!

Welcome!  My great nephew celebrates his 3rd birthday next week.  I have fun making cards for him and his brother and always try to personalize the cards with a special touch.  I decided to use my Cameo to make him a car shaped card using a Silhouette cut file designed by Lori  Whitlock. I added brads to the tires and door and used metallic texture cardstock for the lights. The car was cut from Red, White, and Black Cardstock  and the windows are Glossy White CS. I added Jacob's picture to the window. Isn't he the cutest?  I made the banner sentiment and inside message using Print Shop to print.  This card is A2 size so it fits in a regular envelope.  I hope Jacob likes his card....don't all 3 year old boys love to play with cars?

Challenges to enter:
Craft Your Passion Challenges: Father's Day/For the Boys. Any male themed card/project you create is acceptable for this challenge
Papertake Weekly Challenge: For the Boys
Cute Card Thursday: Challenge is So Macho!
Creative Corner Challenge: Just for Boys

Simple Banner Card

This card I made for several challenges. I thought this was going to be a quick card to make, being that I made it One Layer. But I kept having problems....I was planning to do a border across the bottom not the top but I laid my inked stamp on the card by mistake and had to cut off a portion off the bottom ...there went my plan for a 4x8" card. Also took me a while to use the  ribbon pennant stamp across the card as it is not that wide and I wanted to stretch across. But using masking and patience, I finally got it near the way I wanted. Not perfect but good enough. Stamped 3 pennants along "ribbon banner" and a border at the top. Added sentiment to the banner and above it to finish. Glued on some twine for pennants to hang.  No layering, cutting or die cutting involved! So I have a clean and simple one layer card with a banner in a monochrome theme on white  made with the sketch on lower right.

Challenges:
Annabelle Stamps Blog: Say it with a Banner
Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle:  Make it clean and simple
Alphabet Challenge: W is for white with one other color

Supplies:
Stamps: Flourishes-banner, pennant and border stamps from coordinating sets "Birthday Pennants" and "Stripe and Stripes"
GKD Birthday stamp from "Inside and Out"
Creative Clear Stamp verse from"Make a Wish"
Ink: Memento Paris Dusk
White Cardstock from stash
Twine from scraps

Thanks for stopping by! Theresa

Another Challenge Has Sprung

I have found so many fun challenges at Flourishes ... the one that I made this card for is a color challenge to use grass green, robin egg blue, and daffodil yellow. And what better stamp to use than the Daffodil stamp from Flourishes "Calendar Set 1".  Love this stamp. I stamped it on white CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  Used Yellow Glaze pen by Sakura to highlight the petals. Cut out with Nesties Square die and cut a mat of yellow CS with Scallop Square die. Followed a sketch from Paper Pretties Challenge. Used Blue CS (from stash) embossed  with Cuttlebug EF Swiss Dots as the sky and Grass Green CS from GKD embossed with Cuttlebug EF Victoria as my grass.  Finished with sentiment on a banner stamped in Memento Bamboos Leaves Ink  with Flourishes stamps from "Spring Has Sprung" and "Birthday Pennant" sets.  I let the Daffodil be the star of this card.
In addition to the Flourishes Spring Has Sprung Challenge, I am entering these Challenges:
Crafty Catz Challenge: Use embossing.
Simon Says Stamp:   It's time for Spring colors or Easter creations.
Thanks for dropping by for a visit.
