Majestic Bird
Hello! This is a good time to check on your friends and I thought this card would be nice to send someone to let them know we care. I was inspired by the Tic Tac Toe Challenge at The House That Stamps Built. I was a bit stumped for an idea at first but decided to start with Heron and sentiment stamps from Repeat Impressions and build from there. I stamped and heat embossed the image and words with Black Ink and Clear EP on white card stock which gave a great definition to the feathers. I added some brown flocking to the cattails and glossy accents to the beak and legs which added texture but I needed to add dimension which I did by adding white foam to the back of the cut out image before attaching to the Glittery Patterned Paper background. Now to use piercing which is the other element in Row 1, I added piercing to the water area which gave it some definition. Like the choice of patterned paper that I used....goes well with the colors in the image and it has a lot of glitter stripes- hard to see in photo.

Wishes for a Wonderful Day
Hello! Doesn't St. Patrick's Day remind you of rainbows and shamrocks? I guess I was thinking of that when I made this card using a Shamrock cut with my Cameo from GKD Green CS. I sponged the backdrop with a stencil from My Favorite Things called Radiating Rays using 7 colors of Distress Inks on a white CS panel for a rainbow effect. I inked the edges with a Pilot Gold Metallic Marker. I placed the shamrock on a circle of Gold Glitter paper before attaching to the background and then a White card base. Guess the gold represents a Pot of Gold found at the end of the rainbow. I stamped and heat embossed a GKD Sentiment, one of my favorites, from Old Country Roses set, on the shamrock. St. Patrick's Day is always a Wonderful Day, hence the sentiment.
Challenges:
Monthly Mix Challenge: Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Create a project that has something to do with rainbows, whether it’s the colors or just the sentiment. The Paper Girls Challenge: #195 Glitter-used circle of gold glitter paper under the shamrock.

More Christmas Cards
Hello! I am trying to catch up on some challenges that I wanted to enter before the deadlines. I created this Christmas card for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge D1119 at The House That Stamps Built. I used the elements from the bottom row-Glitter, Trees, Vellum. Used Red Glitter card stock which I find is much easier that using loose glitter. Used Repeat Impressions stamp of Trees stamped with Memento Green Ink on White CS. I used red vellum pieces left over from a die cut to decorate the trees. Also used Repeat Impressions sentiment stamp, Red Memento ink, White card base, and Rectangle die.

Tree with a Lot of "Punchy" Dots
Hello! I am back with another Red and White Christmas card made with Gina K Design stamps from Joyful Holiday set. This set is an older one that I have had for several years. I heat embossed both the tree and sentiment with GKD White EP on GKD Red Velvet CS after stamping with Versamark ink. For fun, I decorated the tree with a White Metal Star brad and "Ornaments" cut from Red Glitter Paper with a large hole punch. Attached the panel to White Card Base.
Challenges:
ModSquad Challenge: Red and White...that's it!
As You Like It Challenge: Use Favorite Cute or Traditional for Christmas. I favor Traditional Christmas cards because I do not have many cute stamps. And most of my cards go to the older generations who tend to like more traditional cards.
Stinkin' Inkers Challenge: Theme is Die-lirious or Punchy. Use simple hole punch for all the ornaments.
Addicted to Stamps: Challenge 179 Anything goes
Retro Rubber: Challenge 123 Anything Goes with stamps older than a year. These stamps are at least 5 years or older.
Have a great day! I love reading your comments.

Buttons on My Tag
Hello! I have so many buttons in my craft stash and I love when I find any use for them. I keep saying I am going to make some jewelry with some of them but never have. But I did use some of them on a tag that I am entering in Tag You're It! Challenge #96 which inspired me to pull out some square buttons featuring flowers and one has a butterfly. I believe I receive these in a Blog Candy or maybe found in a garage sale. Not sure! I found a dotted pattern paper with some glitter effects that I thought was perfect as a background for the buttons. I shaped my own tag design using my trimmer and some corner punches. Stamped words on a ivory panel with GKD Fresh Asparagus ink using stamps from GKD Tropical Flowers set. Sewed on the buttons with green twine found in my leftovers. The bit of twine was just enough for the tag. Finished with a round pink button and the last of the twine for attaching the tag to a gift. (I colored the button with a Copic marker to better coordinate with the colors.) Used foam tape to adhere the two panels together.

I embossed a strip of the White CS with a Christmas EF from Cards & Papercraft and inked the raised surfaces of the words with red ink. Assembled the card on a base of Red CS and added a couple strips of the Red Glitter Card Stock.

Having Another Barbecue
Welcome to my studio. I was inspired to create another tag for the Tag You're It! Challenge #95 which has a Barbecue Theme. I used a grill stamp from a Paper Pretties set that I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored with Copics and a Silver Pen. I added some fire to the grill with Diamond Stickles. I added some sentiments using some old stamps from my stash. After trimming the tag and rounding the corners with a punch, I added a circle, exclamation point, and strip cut from a scrap of Red glitter flocked paper to give some texture. Finished the tag with a red metallic string. Will use this tag for a birthday gift.

Snowy Sparkly Christmas
Welcome! I am still creating Christmas cards for my stash! I pulled out an older stamp Snowy Postcard from Stampendous for this one. I used DOI Vintage Photo to stamp on White CS using only the oval portion of the image (trimmed with a oval Spellbinders die). I adhered this to a Red Glitter Paper and added die cut Poinsettias (Red and Gold Papers) and the word Christmas (Metallic Gold CS). Dies from Creative Dies and Cheery Lynn. Added more sparkle to the scene with Diamond Stickles and with Gold Gems to the center of the flowers.

This was a difficult card to photo but the top photo captured the glitter of the paper. Shared another card on the left without so much glare.
Challenges:
Modsquad Challenge: All that Sparkles. Used Stampendous stamp.
Retro Rubber Challenge: #116 Tic Tac Toe-Used bottom row-Gems, Nature(Snow scene), Inks (DOI). Have had stamp at least 6 years.
Dies R Us Challenge: August Challenge Bright Colors-used bright Gold and Red.

When You Wish Upon a Star
Hello! This card was inspired by the Inspiration Palette Challenge J1619 at The House That Stamps Built (shown below). I found 3 Colors of Cardstock that seem to match up with the inspiration colors. I used the darkest as a card base and layered the other two. I embossed the top layer (before layering) with a Stars EF setting it at an angle and added some score marks. I die cut 3 sizes of stars out of glitter paper and arranged them and then added a precut star of multi colors with glitter accents from leftovers from a kit. Finished with some plastic confetti stars touched with Diamond Stickles for more shine. Used DOI Fossilized Amber to sponge around the sentiment and on some of the stars. The colors in my photo did not run true to the real colors …..seems to have a yellow cast that I could not edit out. Trust me, the colors are more similar to the inspiration colors. I used a Repeat Sentiment....thought it tied in with Dreams and Wishes and Stars.

Fusion of Sketch with Butterflies
Today I am playing with the challenge at Fusion's 5th Anniversary Challenge shown below. We can choose to use the sketch or photo or a fusion of both. My card was inspired by both. I used 3 Butterflies (found in my stash of leftovers) that were die cut with Cheery Lynn dies from Navy CS and cut angel wings of Glitter CS from my scraps. I started with a Ivory card base and attached a panel found in my stash of handmade backgrounds that was made by blending assorted Distress Oxide Inks and spraying Gold Shimmer Mist. I added some die cut circles of navy and ivory with die cut shapes of navy and Glitter Paper following the sketch and then attached the Butterflies. I like it when I use up some of my scraps and leftover die cuts and inked backgrounds. The sentiment from Gina K Designs was stamped with Memento Paris Dusk ink.

Hello! Today I am sharing a card made using a stencil from Gina K Designs to sponge DOI Picked Raspberry on a strip of white CS that I fussy cut and layered on to a die cut rectangle of Glitter paper with a layer of Pink attached to a white layer with a pink card base. Used Clear Star pink on the swirl for some shine. I finished by adding a pre-cut 3D die cut Cupcake from Valentine Crafts and stamped a sentiment with the same ink. Followed the sketch below. Happy 99th Birthday!
Welcome! Today I am sharing a special card that I created for my Mother's 99th Birthday that is later this month. I made a similar card for her a couple years ago and she loved it so I thought I would repeat my design by adding some more candles and also the Happy Birthday song. I used Photoshop Elements to create the pages with text and candles and then added dots and strips of glitter paper and used Diamond Stickles for glitter on each of the 99 Candles. That took a bit of time. The front with 3 candles was attached to a Pink CS and then I attached 8 pages with 12 candles each printed on white CS. The Happy Birthday song lyrics and music was printed across the bottom of the pages to which I added glitter dots.
The card fits these challenges:
Allsorts Challenge: Week # 502 Milestones with Numbers
Cards In Envy: It's all about the numbers challenge. This card is less than 1/4", actually 1/8" so it does fit into an envelope.
Make My Monday Challenge: #87 Use Words or Sentiment.

Sparkly Succulents
Welcome! Today I am playing with greens with some added sparkle. I stamped Power Poppy stamps from Sassy Succulents with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and colored the image with Memento green markers and green Copics in several shades of green. Added sparkle to the flowers and words with Star Dust pen. Adhered this to a mat of Green Glitter paper which married well with my colors. Love how my monochromatic design turned out. Hope you can see the sparkle on the image and words.

Red Shoe with Silver
Hello! Playing with some old stamps that I pulled out for the challenge at Double D Challenges-If the Shoe Fits. I made a CAS card stamping the shoe and sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers with Black ink. Colored the shoe with Red Copics and heat embossed the heel and sole with Silver EP. Looks much better in real life than in the photo. Used a Red Glitter CS for Mat and White card base.

Glittery Glasses
Hello! I made this card a few days ago when it was too cold to be outside and I spent my time in the studio. This one was made with scraps of red and light gold glitter paper and white CS. I stamped wine glasses on the glitter paper with Repeat Impressions stamps and fussy cut and placed them on the red glitter paper. I embossed the white card base with Divine Swirls EF and stamped the old Christmas Sentiment from stash with versamark and heat embossed with Red EP. I never have used that sentiment but it was perfect for my card.
