Card with a Tag

Hello!  I made this Christmas card with a tag that I attached to an embossed panel. With a few changes, I recreated the tag design in the same way (see post here from 2019) that I had made earlier with Gina K Designs stamps and dies and a Basket Weave stamp from Just for Fun stamps.  Had all the stamps since 2018/2019.   Used a bit of ribbon, twine and even a smaller tag on the tag. I embossed and inked a white panel with Darice EF Pine Branches before attaching the tag.  Finished with a card base of Fresh Asparagus CS and more GKD sentiments.

Focus on the Sentiment

Welcome to my studio! I have been playing with patterned papers and an embossing folder to create this Christmas card.  I trimmed a panel of older paper from Heartfelt Creations and embossed with Darice EF Allegro.  Stamped and heat embossed sentiment from Creative Visions.   Finished with a Red Card Base. Quick and easy! And I used up some old stash and older products not used in a while.

CAS Christmas Card

Hello!  I am sharing a CAS design that I created with stamps and dies for a Christmas card that will be easily mass produced if I decide to do so.  I stamped the pinecone twice on kraft CS with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Chestnut EP. Stamp is from GKD Seasonal Sentiments Bundle. I die cut both with GKD Die from the same set. Like the way they look, and no coloring was involved. I die cut the Pine Bough with Impression Obsession die from Fresh Asparagus CS and colored the branch with Copics marker. I arranged the die cuts on a panel of white CS that I inked the edges with a Brown Copics marker .... this looks like a mat without adding more weight.  I finished with a sentiment from GKD Joyful Holiday stamped with Versamark  and embossed with the Chestnut EP.
The hardest part of this design was deciding how to best arrange the die cut elements, but I like the final results.

Out on the Farm on a Snowy Christmas Day

Hello! I have another Christmas card inspired by Peace On Earth Challenge #13 Anything Christmas. This time my card features an image of a horse and a snowy scene. Check out the mood board below to see the horse that inspired me.  I printed the scene from a file in my computer on white CS and trimmed it to fit the card size. Added some texture to the top of the image with Swiss Dot EF,  Also used Nuvo Crystal dots on the snow and snowy fence  and Diamond Stickles on the ornaments on the tree and garland. Sadly the texture and shine does not show in the photo but looks great in real life.  Added a mat of textured white paper.  Card base is a patterned paper embossed with Gingham EF.  Finished with a die cut sentiment from the same patterned paper.
Supplies: Cheery Lynn Merry Christmas Die, Cuttlebug Gingham EF, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF, Corner Punch, White CS, DCWV Pattern Paper from Christmas Basics Pad, Diamond Stickles, Nuvo White Crystal Dots.

Candle Trio

Hello! This Christmas card was inspired by the current Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge mood board shown below. The picture of the lantern with candles reminded me of a Memory Box Die in my collection so I used it to create this card.  The Gold Panel made with gold metallic CS and glitter gel and a stencil was actually leftover from another project.  It was a perfect fit for the Candle Trio that I die cut several times  and layered and pieced together.
Supplies used: My Favorite Things Stencil Radiating Rays, Memory Box Die Little Candle Trio, Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Die Merry Christmas, Spellbinders Rectangle Die, GKD Glitz Glitter Gel, Diamond Stickles, Red Cardstock, Green Cardstock, Mulberry Green Paper, Gold Metallic Cardstock, Red and Yellow Copics.

2 Cards from 1

Hello!  I never throw something out if I think I can reuse or upcycle the item. I found an old commercial Christmas card that I had saved and made 2 cards from it. These are not my usual handmade cards that I stamp, color, emboss, etc. It was so easy that I feel maybe I should not enter them in a challenge.  But then I do not think I am breaking any rules???
I trimmed 2 panels from the old card and matched up with some bright green textured card stock in my stash.  I assembled 2 cards and added a die cut sentiment from metallic gold cardstock to one.  Die is from Cheery Lynn. I let the existing sentiment remain as is on the second card.
These cards will go in my collection of Christmas cards made for my mother's Life Care Center.

Christmas Wishes

Hello! Back with another Christmas card. I enjoy making Christmas cards all year long and it's fun to find so many Christmas challenges.  I was inspired by the Peace on Earth Challenge mood board when I saw the pastel colors and the tree decorated with Pink. I thought immediately of some Heartfelt Creations patterned paper in my stash and pulled it out to create this card.  Other Supplies: Pink and Blue Cardstock, Ribbon, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Circle Die, Corner Punch, Printed Sentiment from Paper Pack, Blue, Pink, and Frosty Stickles for Sparkle on tree, flowers, and angel.
I do wish I could capture the sparkle of the stickles in my photo as it adds so much to the card in real life.

Winter Scene for Christmas

Hello! I am sharing a colorful Christmas card simply made with Pattern Paper from Heartfelt Creations paper pack. No Stamping! No embossing! No coloring! I used a White Card Base, a mat of Green CS for the trimmed image, and a die cut from Creative Expressions for the sentiment. Added some Stickles to the lantern and windows for sparkle but it does not show in the photo.  I consider this a CAS card since it was easy to create, has minimal layers and embellishments. Hope there is enough white space to meet the rules for CAS.
I did another version of the card but added a strip of blue pattern paper.  Trying to do at least 2 cards at a time using the same products when I can.

Snowy Scenes

Welcome to my studio! Today I am posting 2 Christmas cards that I made using Patterned Papers from a Heartfelt Creations paper pack. I used a Darice Snowflakes Embossing Folder and a Gina K Designs Christmas sentiment on both cards. I use Stickles to give some shiny effects on the smoke, windows and snowy trees but that does not show in the photos. Trust me, it looks really good up close and in person.  I actually made 2 of each design so that's another 4 for my Christmas Card Stash.
Other supplies: White Cardstock bases, Red and Green Cardstock for mats, Memento Rhubarb Stalk Ink, and Simply Cards & Papercraft Embossing Folder (on green mat).

Peace on Earth Card

Hello! I just came across a Christmas challenge that is new to me, and I have a card that I'd like to enter before the deadline. I am entering this card in Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge #8. The inspiration board is shown below.  I was inspired by the Blue and White and Snow elements. I used some designs cut from an old Christmas card and a stamp from a magazine freebie from Cardmaking & Papercraft on a white card base.  The sentiment with stars was stamped with Memento Paris Dusk ink and embellished with some sparkly Stickles.

Using More of My Stash

Welcome! I am back with more Christmas cards that I made using up some of my stash. My goal is to use old items from stash to maybe make room for some new?   I used some patterned papers from   Webster's Pages, mats of green cardstock, white card bases, Memento red ink, and Christmas stamps from Heartfelt Creations. I quickly created these 4 cards to add to my stash of cards.

Christmas Carols from an Old Songbook

Hello!  I came across an old Christmas Carol Song Book that was a free giveaway from an insurance company in the 80's, I think.
I thought the pages of songs would make great Christmas cards so using some solid card stock and old patterned paper in my stash, I created these cards. I simply cut or tore the pages and attached to a layer of patterned paper and then to a solid color base. I distressed some of the pages by crinkling and sponging with Distress Ink.  One page I dry embossed.  Patterned Papers are from Webster's Pages and Cardstocks are Gina K Papers.

More Christmas Cards

Hello! Today I am sharing some Christmas cards made using patterned papers that were in a magazine that I purchased some time ago and filed away.  On the 2 bottom cards, I used one of the pattern papers as a layer on the card base before attaching another pattern paper as the focus of the card. on all 3 cards, I used a Pilot Gold Marker to edge all the papers and added several types of stickles to add sparkle to the designs.  Attached Gold Satin Ribbon bows to the Bauble cards and Pink Brads to the Santa card.  A Penny Black sentiment was stamped and embossed with Gold EP on each card. Used Pink and White cardstock as card bases.
Wish you could see the sparkle and texture of the stickles that I used.  Looks so good in real life.

Using Up Old Stash

Hello! One of my goals this year is to use up some of my cardmaking stash.  I have spent several hours making many Christmas cards using pattern papers, cardstock, stickles, embellishments, embossing folders, etc that I have had for a number of years. Today, I am sharing 4 of the cards that I made using HFC pattern papers with white card base and red mats and embossing with Cuttlebug Allegro EF. Three of the cards are stamped with Creative Vision Stamp (2009) with Memento Red ink.  The 4th Card was finished with a die cut from Creative Expressions that I cut from scraps. I added Glossy accents to the berries and Cardinals but that is hard to see in the photos.

Holly Jolly Tag

Hello!  Welcome to the studio! Today I am posting a card for Monthly Mix Challenge at Gina K Designs. Arjita challenged us to make a Tag on a Card using Red and White. I used Gina K. Design products including Red Velvet Card Stock and Fancy Foil, Holiday Flora Foil Mates, Holly Jolly Greetings Foil Mates, and White with Gold Ribbon.  I used red foil on the sentiment but it does not show very well in the photo. Looks BIRL.  I also used a combination of Spellbinder Dies to create my tag shape.  Once I did the foiling on the sentiment and background, this project came together quickly.

Christmas Cards with Foil

Hello!  More Christmas cards for my stash.  I started with panels of GKD Large Snowflakes Foil Mates for both of these cards and blended Distress Oxide ink using reds on the top card and blues for the second one. I added GKD Glimmering Gold foil to both using a laminator. I trimmed both panels and added the red one to a card base of Gold Metallic card stock. I inked the edges of the blue panel with Pilot Gold Metallic marker and used a GKD Blue Raspberry card base.  I die cut the sentiments from Gold Metallic CS with Creative Expressions die Merry Christmas trim and backed with strips of solid cardstock before attaching with Connect glue.

O Christmas Tree

Hello!  My card today features a Christmas Tree that was embossed with a Darice EF on white card stock.  I colored and inked the raised areas with Copics  and attached a sentiment from leftovers from a card kit.  I inked the edges of the panel with a Gold Metallic marker before attaching to a red card base.  Simple and easy.  Another one for my Christmas Card stash.
The photo is a bit distorted but my card is nice and straight.
