Card with a Tag

Hello!  I made this Christmas card with a tag that I attached to an embossed panel. With a few changes, I recreated the tag design in the same way (see post here from 2019) that I had made earlier with Gina K Designs stamps and dies and a Basket Weave stamp from Just for Fun stamps.  Had all the stamps since 2018/2019.   Used a bit of ribbon, twine and even a smaller tag on the tag. I embossed and inked a white panel with Darice EF Pine Branches before attaching the tag.  Finished with a card base of Fresh Asparagus CS and more GKD sentiments.

CAS Christmas Card

Hello!  I am sharing a CAS design that I created with stamps and dies for a Christmas card that will be easily mass produced if I decide to do so.  I stamped the pinecone twice on kraft CS with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Chestnut EP. Stamp is from GKD Seasonal Sentiments Bundle. I die cut both with GKD Die from the same set. Like the way they look, and no coloring was involved. I die cut the Pine Bough with Impression Obsession die from Fresh Asparagus CS and colored the branch with Copics marker. I arranged the die cuts on a panel of white CS that I inked the edges with a Brown Copics marker .... this looks like a mat without adding more weight.  I finished with a sentiment from GKD Joyful Holiday stamped with Versamark  and embossed with the Chestnut EP.

The hardest part of this design was deciding how to best arrange the die cut elements, but I like the final results.

Wrapping Gifts

Welcome!  I hope you all had a great New Year's Eve and I wish you much Health and Happiness in 2020!  Today I am sharing some wrapping paper and tags that I created using some Artsystamper  digital images with some neutral colored paper from my stash.  I often give sets of handmade cards as gifts in clear boxes and I needed to gift wrap them and decided to created my own design of wrapping paper using 8.5" x11".  Then I decided that I needed to add coordinated tags that I printed using the same paper and digital images.  The gift package with tag that I created is shown above. I used Photoshop to layout the designs and printed them on  paper. The Pine Cone and Pine Needles digital images that I used were free gifts available to the Artsystamper Art Group on Facebook.

Challenges to enter:

Artsystamper Digitals Challenge: #6 Wrapping Paper/Tags.  I had not planned to enter this challenge again but since we can enter 3  times, I thought this was a perfect match to enter.

Wintery Thank You

Hello! Today I have created a Clean and Simple Winter Thank You card using two free digital images so generously offered by Beverly to her Facebook group at Artsystamper Art Group.  I arranged the Pine Needles and Pine Cone images for a card using Photoshop, added a sentiment that I typed, and printed it on a textured Ivory Card Stock.  I used a mat of GKD Green CS and a Brown card base.  Finished with some touches of Liquid Pearl to the edges of the cones for texture and shine. 

Thanks to Beverly for the digital images and Happy Birthday to her. Today the 25th is her birthday.

Pine Cone for the Holidays

Hello! Playing with some stamps and die cuts to create this Holiday card.  I inked a GKD Pine Cone stamp with Brown and Green inks and stamped on white CS. I added more color with Copics and texture to the Cone with Clear Lacquer Pen.  I cut the Pine bough with a Impression Obsession die from Green CS, added some details with Copics,  and attached atop the stamped cone.  Stamped the Mark's Finest Papers Sentiments with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and heat embossed with Clear EP.  Edged the white panel with Green Copic, attached to a Brown CS layer and to a white card base.

Tied Up with a Bow

Hello! For today's Christmas card, I combined a Pine Cone stamp from GKD Peace & Joy set. with a Pine Bough cut using an Impression Obsession die.  I stamped and gold embossed the GKD sentiment from Joyful Holiday set. Finished with GKD ribbon and bow and some glossy Accents on the cone for texture.

Guest Designer at Tag YOU'RE It!

 Hello! Today, I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer at Tag YOU'RE It! Challenge.  I have only recently found this fun challenge and love their inspirations and making tags for their challenges.  This week's inspiration for Challenge #35 is by Tracey and is a great Christmas design.  I was inspired by her use of Pattern Papers and great die cuts.   I hope you will be inspired to play along and have a chance to be a Guest Designer.

For my tag, I decided to also focus on pattern papers (just love playing with patterns) and I stayed with a Christmas theme.  I chose pattern papers from Pebbles Welcome Christmas pad with similar colors and used a Impression Obsession Branch die, a Cuttlebug Ornament die,  and a Cheery Lynn Die for the word Merry.  I heat embossed some Pinecones using a GKD stamp and Zing Chestnut EP and fussy cut them after coloring with Copics.  I assembled all my elements together and added a bow of green twine to complete the tag.

Light Up My Christmas

Hello!  I have been playing with glossy card stock to make this Christmas card with Candles cut from creamy white glossy CS on the Cameo using a Silhouette File.  I added a touch of glitter with Gold EP on the candles and Gold Foil on the Flames.  On my background of a glossy lustrous Oyster Pearl CS, I heat embossed  MFP Pine Cone and sentiment stamps with Zing Chestnut EP and colored the image with Copics.   I attached the die cut Candles to this and then on to a Dark Brown card base.   I was not that pleased with my choice of sentiment because the word Christmas is a rather funky font and does not show that well in the photo.

Challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room: Week# 263 Thankful.  I was inspired by the candles and pine cones and the colors of the inspiration photo.  In real life the card has a lot of texture in the embossed pine cones.

Colors and Patterns Challenge

Hello!  The challenge at The Shabby Tea Room for week #262 is Colors and Patterns  shown in the graphic on the right.   When I saw the colors, I thought of a Thanksgiving card and pulled out polka dot and chevron patterns to use on rectangles --the shape inspired by the shapes of the bottles. The pine cones in the photo reminded me of an Embossing Folder Pine Branches by Darice.
I began the card by embossing a Ecru Glossy card stock and inking the raised designs with Memento Rich Cocoa and Tangelo inks. I cut the strips of Pattern Paper from Echo Park and created the chevron pattern by embossing a strip of the Ecru glossy paper and inking the surface. I fussy cut another pine cone using the EF and attached to the lower corner.  I cut the words with Cheery Lynn Dies to finish the card.  I think I managed to capture some of the colors and patterns from the inspiration.

Good Morning!  This card was made for the challenge at Merry Monday to create a Christmas Card  with a rustic look using creams, tans and browns. I kept my card fairly simple using a Wood Grain Pattern Paper from Crate Paper as the background attached to a Ivory Card Base.  I embossed the paper with Darice EF Wood Grain to give some rustic texture.  I attached to this some Pine Branches cut from a glossy lustrous Oyster Pearl CS with Impression Obsession Die.  I topped this with a Pine Cone and Branch stamped with MFP Greetings of the Season  in Memento Rich Cocoa ink on Ivory CS and fussy cut. I also gave some shine to the cone by heat embossing with Clear EP.   The sentiment was cut from the Oyster Pearl CS with Cheery Lynn dies. This was an easy card to make but I like the details.

The Words Have It

I am playing with Christmas cards again.  I pulled out some Heartfelt Creations leftover papers from last year's Christmas Collection and created this card featuring a verse from HC Sweet Memories Set.  I stamped the sentiment with SU Brocade Blue ink on some of the Pattern Paper and cut with Nesties Circle Die and matted with a circle of Blue CS same as the Blue Card Base.  Before adding the verse,  I stamped the HC Pinecones in the lower right corner of the Pattern Paper layer with DI Brushed Corduroy ink and colored with brown and green pencils.  I also highlighted some of the background pattern paper with the pencils.  The Blue card base was layered with a mat of Leather CS and then with the rest of card.
