Card for A Friend

Hello! I made this card with an older stamp set Wild Blossoms from GKD.  I had a challenge for using a silhouette in mind when creating this card, but I found out that you can only do one entry and I had already entered.  But I think this card will qualify for Monthly Mix Up Challenge at Gina K Designs. We are to use Black and White Plus Pop of one other Color.  Other supplies used: GKD Blue Raspberry and Black inks, Circle dies, Ink Blending Brush, Black Marker for Edging the White Panel, White CS.

Winter Snow Globe

Hello!  I was not sure where I was going with this card but wanted to use a Repeat Impressions Snow Globe stamp for the challenge at The House That Stamps Built.  I used the Lighthouse Snowglobe stamp but modified it by eliminating Santa and his sleigh.  I first stamped the globe on Vellum and heat embossed with Clear EP.  I stamped it again with Black ink on white CS and a second time with Memento Nautical Blue( coloring over Santa).  I colored in the image stamped in Black ink with Pencils. I trimmed both of these images and layered under the image on Vellum.  I die cut a circle opening on the Yellow Card base and added the layered snow globe underneath.  I stamped the base of the globe on a Wood Grain Patterned Paper with Versamark and heat embossed with Brown EP.  I fussy cut the base and attached on the card front below the Winter Scene in the globe. Stamped a sentiment from my stash with DOI Walnut Stain and added some die cut vellum snowflakes.
I could have used acrylic instead of vellum and just stamped and layered the stamped scene under that, but the heat embossed vellum gives a nice texture in real life.

Joy to the World

Welcome!  My holiday card today was made with Penny Black stamps from her Wonder Collection.  Stamped the Wreath and Joy on Ivory CS with red and black inks and trimmed with a Scallop Circle die and attached to a Green Die cut circle.  Arranged strips of patterned papers from American Crafts Kringle and Co. pad with solid red strips on an Ivory card base that I embossed with Cuttlebug Polka Dots EF.  Popped up the circle on a foam cut out to complete the card.  Thought the patterned paper coordinated  well with the design of the berry wreath.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: September anything using Patterned Paper
CAS Christmas Card Challenge: September Theme is Wreath

Bee Well

Another Post
I just finished a card for Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge with a theme of bees...I captured 3 views of bees on a sunflower.   I stamped the image a couple of times and die cut 3 circles showing the bees up close.  The images were stamped with black ink and colored with Copics.  Added some glitter to the wings with a Clear Star pen.  Used an embossed (CB EF Wickerweave) Yellow CS for the background and Rust card base.  Added Green Satin ribbon with the sentiment.  Stamps are all old ones from MFP sets but I do not have the names.
Challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches: #464 shown below
Double D Challenges: Theme is Don't Bug Me.  We are to use bugs on our cards.
The House That Stamps Built: DCC81 Circles.  Usually use Repeat Impressions stamps for THTSB but thought this fit challenge.

Spinner Card with Heart

Hello!  It's too cold outside so am staying in and doing some playing in the studio.  That's a good way to begin the new year.  I made a spinner card which is new to me.....Silke's Mix It Up Monday challenge at Stamp TV is to make a spinner card so thought I'd give it a try. I have made a slider card but this is a little different.  I chose to go with a Valentine theme using stamps from Gina K Designs Taglines and Signed with Love.  I also used an EK Heart border punch, Cuttlebug EF Swiss Dots and With Love, Circle Die, Memento Lady Bug Ink, Brilliance Moonlight White ink, and Red and White CS.  I finished by adding dots with Red Berry Nuvo Crystal Drops, something new that I got for Christmas.  I am showing photos with the spinner in 3 different locations on the card.
Challenges;
StampTV: Mix it Up Monday challenge make a spinner card.
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon Something New. I used new Nuvo Crystal and new technique.

Welcome to my Spooky House!  I am really into Halloween cards!  My card was created with dies from Cottage Cutz Haunted House Border with the addition of Ghosts, Witch, Bat, and Jack-O-Lantern plastic confetti figures.  I sponged the background  on white CS with Memento Cantaloupe, Dandelion, Tangelo, Paris Dusk, Elderberry, Espresso Truffle inks and SU Night of Navy ink.
