Birthday for My Man
Hello! I was playing with a Gina K Design set called The Northwoods 2 to create a masculine card without any layers. I began with a GKD heavy weight white card stock because I can use Copics to color on this paper and there will be no bleeding of ink on the back side. Great for one layer cards!
I stamped a lake scene using Memento Markers to apply colors directly on the stamps. For fun, I just had to add a bear (for my DH) and did that by stamping the bear first and then used masking when stamping the trees. Colored the scene with Copics and sponged the sky with Memento Summer Sky ink. Stamped the sentiment with Tuxedo Black ink. Perfect birthday card for the man in my life.
Challenges:
Modsquad Challenge: Layer Me Not! The challenge this week is to use no layers on card front. Sponsor GKD.
Monthly Mix Challenge at GKD: For the boys.

The Male Room: Challenge #117 Birthday. Happy 6th Birthday to The Male Room.

Inspired by a Book
Hello! Today I am playing with a new (to me) challenge-The Library Challenge. Each challenge features a book and you can be inspired by the cover, the title, or the story. I was inspired by the cover-I used the colors and also the layout that features a single image. For my card, I stamped the Bear image from Jane's Doodles (Winter Wishes) with brown ink on yellow CS and colored with Copics. I drew the Honey (Hunny) Pot on Kraft CS, colored with copics, and fussy cut. I hand wrote the word HUNNY on the pot and attached it with foam tape. I generated the quote and printed it on the computer using a Scribble Text. Finished with a Red card base.
Challenges:
The Library Challenge: Challenge 15 Winnie the Pooh
Just Us Girls Challenge: Trend Week #457 Hand Drawn Elements- a whimsical trend often seen in the form of hand-drawn graphic design/illustrated elements and calligraphy.
I drew the honey pot and handwrote the word on the pot.

Happy Father's Day
Hello! Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. Sharing a card today that I made for the father of all my Bears. I recently purchased this digital stamp Just One More from the Busy Bears series at Lili of the Valley. It was perfect for a card for my Grill Master DH. After printing the image, I colored him with Copics and used a mat of Polka Dot patterned paper. I printed the sentiment with the computer and attached to the card.

James Returns with More Gifts
Welcome! I always enjoy playing with James the Bear Bearing Presents, a stamp from Lili of the Valley. I have owned this stamp since at least 2010 or maybe longer. Although in the past I have added a lot of paper and embellishments to James, I decided to keep him clean and simple for this card. So, James is the star of this project. He was stamped with Memento Black Ink on GKD Heavyweight White CS and colored with Copics. I did add some White Crystal Nuvo drops to his hat. The image was matted with Grass Green CS and attached to foam before adhering to Red Velvet CS. Sentiment is Gina K from Joyful Holiday set.

More Christmas Tags
Hello! Today I have more tags inspired by Emily's design on Tag You're It! Challenge #75. I used a similar layout and shape for the tags as well as adding Christmas Trees. On one I used a tree die cut from green glitter paper with a bear stamp. The second one features a stamped tree and gifts. Used stamps from Hero Arts October kit which are perfect sizes for use on tags.

Birthday Bear
Hello! I have another bear stamp from Repeat Impressions that I have never used so I thought I'd try stamping him on Kraft CS. I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink for both the image and TOU sentiment and colored with Copics. I added the HB sentiment and some flowers using Distress Oxide Ink Picked Raspberry which shows very good on the Kraft CS. I like the Pink Ink so much that I also used it inside the card with more Repeat Impressions stamps. Just a simple card experimenting with Kraft and colors.

Happy Bear in the Leaves
Hello! Our leaves are a bit too wet to be jumping in or even raking. But this sweet bear is having a lot of fun and is so happy that it is fall. He is a Great Impressions stamp from 2008. I simply stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and sponged the grass with Distress Oxide Peeled Paint ink. The sentiment is an old Stampin Up stamp inked in Distress Oxide ink. Used Rust CS from stash as base.

Santa's Return to the North Pole
Hello! Back to playing in the snow at the North Pole. Created this scene with Hero Arts October kit using a dog sled, polar bear, and Santa flying in his sled. The Mountain background was die cut and sponged with Distress Oxide ink and snow added with Marvy Snow Marker. The shiny night sky was made by accident when I spilled Metallic Blueberry Mist on my work desk. I quickly grabbed some white CS to absorb the spill and now have shiny CS for several skies, Foreground was made with torn Watercolor paper strips. Stamped the trees and sentiment and added the "Elf" house, sleigh, sled and bear which were die cut. Sign Post was fussy cut. All coloring was done with Copics. More snow added to trees with liquid pearls and to sky with Stardust Pen. I imagine Santa is returning to his workshop since he is flying in that direction and the girl in the dog sled is headed there to welcome him home.
Challenges:
Allsorts Challenge: Week 439 Christmas Creatures. My creatures include Polar Bear, Reindeer, and Dogs.
Sweet Stampin' Challenge: Theme is Bears. My Polar Bear is on the way to Santa's Workshop. He was stamped with Black ink, die cut, and covered in fur made with Snow Marker.

Bearing Flowers
Hello! It has been a while since I featured one of my many bear stamps on a card. This sketch from Tuesday Morning was perfect for this Penny Johnson stamp Bear Flowers. I stamped it on Ivory cardstock with Memento Espresso Truffle and colored with Copics. I trimmed the image with an oval die and placed on a layer of Shimmery Pink CS cut with a scallop oval die. Assembled the card with a Lacy Paper Doily from stash, a ShimmeryPink layer embossed with CB Polka Dots EF, and a card base of Ivory. Added Wine Satin Ribbon streamers with Die Cut Yellow flowers and a Tag (love). Used a Metallic Gold Gelly Pen to add some accents but they are hard to see in photo.
