Boo to You!

Hello! Switching to a Halloween theme for this card. As thoughts of fall come, I was thinking that I have not made many Halloween cards in a while. I was inspired by the Two Old Bats Halloween challenge which I have never entered but follow their posts. I pulled out some old stamps from my stash of Halloween themes and put together this simple design. I used a ghost, cat, spiders and the word Boo from the Mood Board from the challenge.  I stamped the ghost with black ink and heat embossed with Clear EP and colored with Copics on a white panel. I attached the cat that I had stamped, and heat embossed on Black scrap and fussy cut. I actually had made this cat for a previous project but had it leftover and found in my Halloween stash box.   Added some color to the cat with Gel pens and popped it up on card with some foam tape. I trimmed the bottom edge of panel with Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch and sponge on a bit of red ink. Finished with Boo stamp with black ink and added some spiders (plastic confetti) hanging from strings drawn on card with black gel pen. Placed the panel on some Orange CS that I had in my scraps. Used up some old supplies from my stash.

Card with a Tag

Hello!  I made this Christmas card with a tag that I attached to an embossed panel. With a few changes, I recreated the tag design in the same way (see post here from 2019) that I had made earlier with Gina K Designs stamps and dies and a Basket Weave stamp from Just for Fun stamps.  Had all the stamps since 2018/2019.   Used a bit of ribbon, twine and even a smaller tag on the tag. I embossed and inked a white panel with Darice EF Pine Branches before attaching the tag.  Finished with a card base of Fresh Asparagus CS and more GKD sentiments.

Birthday Wishes

Hello! Today I am sharing a Birthday card that uses embossing folders and a focus on the sentiment. I was inspired by the sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches shown below.  I embossed a white panel with Cuttlebug Happy Birthday EF and attached to a Faded Brick card base from GKD. Added a Wicker Weave embossed strip of the same CS layered with a fancy cut Flower from GKD Watercolor Floral paper and some GKD Ephemera Leaves. Stamped GKD Sentiment from So Many Sentiments with Memento Potter's Clay ink on a flag die cut. Inked some of the edges with Copic marker.  Finished with some sequins from stash.  Another Birthday card for my stash.

Full of Thanks

Hello!  I was trying to come up with a design for the latest challenge   Anything Goes Embossing at Can You Handle the Pressure?  We are to use an embossing folder with a Twist of Sentiment as the Focus. Well, I came up using the simple sentiment of Thanks both as the stamping on the card and also the embossing part. Guess you might say I overdid the sentiment, but it certainly is the focus of the design.  Added some touches of gold to center of embossed flowers and edges of cut panels.
Supplies used: Sizzix Thank You EF (on the bottom part of the card), Cuttlebug Border EF from With Love, Repeat Impressions "Thanks" large stamp (embossed twice with Clear EP), Memento Potter's Clay ink (used for stamping and for inking raised areas of embossing, GKD Faded Brick CS, White CS, Versamark Pen, Gold EP, Pilot Gold Metallic Pen (for edging panels).

Focus on the Sentiment

Welcome to my studio! I have been playing with patterned papers and an embossing folder to create this Christmas card.  I trimmed a panel of older paper from Heartfelt Creations and embossed with Darice EF Allegro.  Stamped and heat embossed sentiment from Creative Visions.   Finished with a Red Card Base. Quick and easy! And I used up some old stash and older products not used in a while.

Always in My Thoughts

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card made with stamps from Power Poppy. I am happy that I found the latest challenge at The Blossom Challenge Going Sentimental focusing on a sentiment from Power Poppy.  Power Poppy is one of my all-time favorites for stamps, I stamped and heat embossed the image with Versamark and Gold EP and water colored it with Gina K Inks. Trimmed the image with a die and attached to patterned paper background.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of Pink Vellum which I attached beneath the image.  Actually, I stamped the image first on the patterned paper, but it did not look right so I used the vellum. I arranged the oval at a bit of a slant in my design. The card looks better in real life.  I will be sending this card to my 102 years young Mother who is "never more than a thought away".
Supplies: Image Stamp- Power Poppy Camellias set, Sentiment Stamp- Power Poppy Lavender set, Versamark Ink, GKD Inks, Watercolor Brush, Gold EP, Pink Vellum, White CS, Patterned Paper from Stash, Spellbinders Oval Die.

By the Sea

Hello! I came across an old lighthouse stamp in my studio and decided to create a quick card for the Clean and Simple Challenge PP605 at The Paper Players with a Nautical Theme. I stamped a portion of the stamp on white CS with Memento Black Ink and colored with Copics. I trimmed the image with a rectangle die and attached to patterned paper scrap from Graphic 45. Stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.  For the card base, I added waves to white CS with a Fiskars Texture plate (have not used this in years since I started using embossing folders) and inked raised surfaces with Blue Ink.

Upcycle Christmas Cards

Today I am sharing 4 Christmas cards that I made by upcycling old cards that I saved.  I cut and trimmed the fronts of the cards to a smaller size and used card stock from my stash for mats and card bases to create new cards.  I die cut the sentiment on the first card from a red paper scrap with a Cheery Lynn die. The other 3 have printed sentiments.  A quick way to add to my Christmas card stash and reduce waste.

Summer Flowers

Hello! Welcome to my studio!  I have been busy here creating cards for current challenges. Today I am playing with a Penny black stamp from an older set in my stash.  The image was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copics.  Trimmed it with a Spellbinders die and inked the edges with Brown Copics. Chose a Gingham Patterned paper as a mat which I also in
ked with Brown Copics.  The Gingham mat was embossed with Cuttlebug Gingham EF which is hard to see in photo. Added to a White CS and stamped with Birthday sentiment from stash.

CAS Christmas Card

Hello!  I am sharing a CAS design that I created with stamps and dies for a Christmas card that will be easily mass produced if I decide to do so.  I stamped the pinecone twice on kraft CS with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Chestnut EP. Stamp is from GKD Seasonal Sentiments Bundle. I die cut both with GKD Die from the same set. Like the way they look, and no coloring was involved. I die cut the Pine Bough with Impression Obsession die from Fresh Asparagus CS and colored the branch with Copics marker. I arranged the die cuts on a panel of white CS that I inked the edges with a Brown Copics marker .... this looks like a mat without adding more weight.  I finished with a sentiment from GKD Joyful Holiday stamped with Versamark  and embossed with the Chestnut EP.
The hardest part of this design was deciding how to best arrange the die cut elements, but I like the final results.

Summer Flowers

Hello and welcome my friends.  This card that I am showing was made with Gina K Designs supplies. I stamped the floral image from Wildflowers bundle with black ink on watercolor paper and water colored with Gina K inks Medium Carnation, Passionate Pink, Fresh Asparagus and Medium Spruce. I die cut the image using die from the same bundle. I attached the image to an embossed pattern paper from GKD Watercolor Floral paper pad with some foam tape. I used Cuttlebug EF Victoria for the embossing that I distressed with a bit of sandpaper. Attached this to a white cardcase. Stamped the sentiment from GKD Rose Bouquet set with Passionate Pink ink on a die cut circle of white matted with a pink circle to complete the design. Circle dies from Spellbinders.

Hello to You

Welcome to the studio!  Sharing a card that I created with supplies from Gina K Designs and Cuttlebug embossing folders.  I started this design by cutting a smallcircle from a patterned paper from Watercolor Floral pad and set aside the circle. I trimmed the paper with rectangle stitched die from GKD (master layout 2) and embossed the panel with Cuttlebug Victoria EF. I attached this to a white mat embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF. I assembled the center embellishment with a strip of Faded Brick CS cut with GKD Flag die, the small circle of the patterned paper layered with a circle of Vellum, and a scalloped circle frame on top. I stamped the Vellum circle with a GKD sentiment from Rose Bouquet set using Versamark and Gold EP.  Finished with a card base of GKD Faded Brick CS. My inspiration for this design was the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

By The Sea

Hello! Welcome to my studio.  I decided to make a card with another Lighthouse stamp from my stash. This one is from Just for Fun, and I have had since 2010.  An Oldie but a Goodie.  I colored the image with Copics and a Blue inkpad for the sky. I trimmed the image with a stitched die by GKD and attached to a patterned paper scrap from Graphic 45 By the Sea pad. I attached this to a Navy card base that I embossed with a Cuttlebug Border EF and finished with another scrap from the same paper pad.

Let Your Light Shine

Welcome! Today I am sharing a card that I created with an older lighthouse stamp from Art Impressions.  Most times when I have used a lighthouse stamp, I do not show any light beams. But for this design, I darkened the sky and added light beams. I thought this added more interest to the design. I stamped the image with Memento Black ink and colored with copics and also did ink blending with ink pads for the sky and sea. Added some white accents to waves and beam with White Gel Pen. I found an appropriate sentiment from my stash which is from a Hero Arts kit and stamped with the black ink. I trimmed the image and mats with GKD Dies and attached to a white card base. A fun card to make.
