Focus on the Sentiment

Welcome to my studio! I have been playing with patterned papers and an embossing folder to create this Christmas card.  I trimmed a panel of older paper from Heartfelt Creations and embossed with Darice EF Allegro.  Stamped and heat embossed sentiment from Creative Visions.   Finished with a Red Card Base. Quick and easy! And I used up some old stash and older products not used in a while.

The Words Have It

I am playing with Christmas cards again.  I pulled out some Heartfelt Creations leftover papers from last year's Christmas Collection and created this card featuring a verse from HC Sweet Memories Set.  I stamped the sentiment with SU Brocade Blue ink on some of the Pattern Paper and cut with Nesties Circle Die and matted with a circle of Blue CS same as the Blue Card Base.  Before adding the verse,  I stamped the HC Pinecones in the lower right corner of the Pattern Paper layer with DI Brushed Corduroy ink and colored with brown and green pencils.  I also highlighted some of the background pattern paper with the pencils.  The Blue card base was layered with a mat of Leather CS and then with the rest of card.

Silent Night

This Christmas card is for Hazel's Challenge to use our interpretation of 'silent night' for a Christmas card.  I used images and papers from Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collection from last year.  I think the shepherds viewing the Star capture the feel of a Silent Night.  I cut an oval with Nesties Die from the background paper and placed over the image and attached to a Card Base of Ivory CS.  I highlighted the words on the Pattern Paper with Clear Star pen instead of stamping a verse.  I placed a rhinestone on the star and used Clear Star pen to give shine to the stars.

Merry & Bright Light

This is the last of my Christmas cards for awhile.... hope I am not too repetitious. This card was also made  with some leftover papers from Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collection.  I used a Heartfelt Creations panel with a Candle and Flowers and placed on a mat of Glossy Oyster Pearl CS and then the Dusty Sage card base.  The stamp Merry & Bright is from Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment on Clear Vellum Paper with Versmark  and heat embossed with Ranger Gold EP. I fancy cut it out and attached with tape made for use with Vellum. Added more sparkle to candle with Gold Metallic Pen and Clear Star pen.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: Anything goes as long as Card is covered with Patterned Paper

The Buildings of Bethlehem

Hello! I am back with another Christmas card.  Again,  I started with some paper leftovers from Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collection.  I used a Heartfelt Creations panel with Shepherds looking over the city of Bethlehem.   I placed this on a Heartfelt Creations pattern paper embossed with Cuttlebug EF Allegro and then on to a card base of Sand CS. The stamp sentiment is from Mark Finest Papers Greetings of the Season  and stamped with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. I added a Rhinestone for the star and some shine with a Clear Star pen to the rays.

Challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: Include a Building or part of one.
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra Challenge: Anything Christmas  goes for June
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: Anything goes as long as Card is covered with Patterned Paper

One more Christmas card to be posted soon. Stay tuned.

Christmas in June

Hello!  Yes, I know I have my seasons mixed up....I know it is summer and the hot temps are here but for some reason I  have been making a few Holiday cards ....may be because of the great Christmas challenges for this week.  Once I pulled out some Christmas papers and stamps, I just kept going.  I started with some leftovers from Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collection.  I used a Heartfelt Creations panel with a snow scene with a mailbox and a house in the background.  I cut this with a circle die and added to a mat of wine CS cut with a scallop circle die. I placed this on embossed ( Cuttlebug EF Divine Swirls)  Heartfelt Creations pattern paper, added a plaid ribbon and then on to a card base of Dusty Sage CS. The stamp sentiment is from Mark Finest Papers Greetings of the Season  and stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink. I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the snow and trees for sparkle and shine but afraid it does not show in the photo.

Challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: Include a Building or part of one. House is at back of scene.
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra Challenge: Anything Christmas  goes for June
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: Anything goes as long as Card is covered with Patterned Paper
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: Theme is Sparkle, Shimmer or Shine.  You will have to take my word there is sparkle and shine on my card from Stickles Frosted Lace.
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge: Theme is Christmas
ABC Christmas: M is for Mail- Hope my mailbox with mailed packages covers the theme

Stay Tune for more Christmas cards.
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa
