Boo to You!

Hello! Switching to a Halloween theme for this card. As thoughts of fall come, I was thinking that I have not made many Halloween cards in a while. I was inspired by the Two Old Bats Halloween challenge which I have never entered but follow their posts. I pulled out some old stamps from my stash of Halloween themes and put together this simple design. I used a ghost, cat, spiders and the word Boo from the Mood Board from the challenge.  I stamped the ghost with black ink and heat embossed with Clear EP and colored with Copics on a white panel. I attached the cat that I had stamped, and heat embossed on Black scrap and fussy cut. I actually had made this cat for a previous project but had it leftover and found in my Halloween stash box.   Added some color to the cat with Gel pens and popped it up on card with some foam tape. I trimmed the bottom edge of panel with Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch and sponge on a bit of red ink. Finished with Boo stamp with black ink and added some spiders (plastic confetti) hanging from strings drawn on card with black gel pen. Placed the panel on some Orange CS that I had in my scraps. Used up some old supplies from my stash.

Eat and Drink with Frankenstein

Hello!  I told myself that I should not make any Halloween cards this year because I have several already in my stash.   But I love playing with some of my old stamps and could not resist making more Halloween themed cards.  I made this CAS one with Mark's Finest Paper stamps from Boo to You set from 2011.   I simply stamped Frankenstein with Memento Tuxedo Ink and colored with Copics.  Stamped the sentiment and distressed the edges with Distress Oxide inks. It's hard for me not to reach for those Oxide inks which are so great for many uses.  Added a layer of Orange CS and a card base of White.  Vey CAS and quick.

Haunted Spooky House

Booo!  Today I am sharing a couple of Halloween cards that were made in the same way but with some minor changes.  I used a Just For Fun stamp Haunted House Silhouette that I just received (won in a challenge).  The house was stamped with black ink and embossed with Clear EP and then I sponged the background with Distressed Oxide inks Faded Blue Jeans, Peeled Paint,  and Black Soot using masks. The moon was sponged with Fossilized Amber.  I colored in the windows and door with Copics and added shine with a lacquer pen.  Added words cut with Cottage Cutz dies. The first card that I made, shown below,  was spritzed with Gold Shimmer mist but I used too much.  I added just a bit of the mist to the top card by spritzing on a paper towel and dabbing it on the card so I could control the amount.   Used Black textured card base on the second and Gray textured card base on the first.
