Hello to You

Welcome to the studio!  Sharing a card that I created with supplies from Gina K Designs and Cuttlebug embossing folders.  I started this design by cutting a smallcircle from a patterned paper from Watercolor Floral pad and set aside the circle. I trimmed the paper with rectangle stitched die from GKD (master layout 2) and embossed the panel with Cuttlebug Victoria EF. I attached this to a white mat embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF. I assembled the center embellishment with a strip of Faded Brick CS cut with GKD Flag die, the small circle of the patterned paper layered with a circle of Vellum, and a scalloped circle frame on top. I stamped the Vellum circle with a GKD sentiment from Rose Bouquet set using Versamark and Gold EP.  Finished with a card base of GKD Faded Brick CS. My inspiration for this design was the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Fun with Stenciling

Hello and welcome! It has been a while since I created a card using a stencil so thought it was time to do so.  I inked a white card stock with Gina K Ornamental Fans stencil using GKD Blue Raspberry and Fresh Asparagus inks and trimmed it to use as a background on my design, Stamped the flowers with Memento Back ink and heat embossed with Clear EP. I water colored the image with the same inks used in the background. I die cut the flowers and popped up with some white foam. I stamped and die cut   the word Hello and also popped up with foam. Finished the card with a White Card Base and Black mat. I really like these colors together and how the design came together since I did not have a plan in mind when I began. Stamps and Dies from Gina K Designs.

Love with Hearts and Flowers

Hello!  The card that I am posting was inspired by the challenge at CAS Mix Up challenge which is to use Faux Cloisonne. This technique is new to me so I watched the tutorials listed with the challenge and had to give it a try.  I chose a page (shown below) from an old Martha Stewart Living magazine to use for my design.  I stamped a portion of the glossy page with a Gina K Design stamp from Tropical Blooms set (2018) using Versamark ink and then heat embossed with Gold EP. Next time, I think I'd attach the glossy page to a cardstock before stamping since the paper stuck to the stamp and I only got one chance to stamp with ink even though I was using the Misti.
I used a Gina K die to cut the image which I attached to Stick It before cutting.  This made it much easier to adhere the image to the card stock panel of Gina K White CS. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Gina K You Have My Heart Set. I also added a die cut heart cut with Gina K Die from GKD Gold Metallic CS. To finish, I edged the panel with Pilot Gold Metallic Marker, attached it to a layer of Pink CS from stash, and then to a White Card Base.
I will be sending this card to my Mother for Valentine's. I think the Cloisonne technique gives an "antiquey" vibe to the card.

Using a Embossing Folder in a Different Way

Hello!  I was playing with an embossing folder and distress oxide inks to create this Monochromatic card that fits several challenges.  I inked up the Chevron EF by Darice with DOI Fired brick and ran through my Big Shot with white cardstock.  I trimmed this panel and inked the edges with the same ink and placed on a White Panel and then a card base of GKD Faded Brick CS.  With stamps and dies from GKD Merry & Bright set and the Fired Brick ink, , I created 2 flowers that I attached to the front of the card along with a sentiment stamped on a strip of White CS. Finished with some white Enamel Dots.

Since I had some ink embossed panels leftover, I created another card which is more CAS since it has more white space but I used the same supplies in making this card but used Gold Gems instead of Enamel Dots and added some die cut green leaves.
