Sparkly Succulents

Welcome!  Today I am playing with greens with some added sparkle.  I stamped Power Poppy stamps from Sassy Succulents  with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and colored the image with Memento green markers and green Copics in several shades of green.  Added sparkle to the flowers and words with Star Dust pen.  Adhered this to a mat of Green Glitter paper which married well with my colors.  Love how my monochromatic design turned out.  Hope you can see the sparkle on the image and words.

Christmas Card for a Friend

Hello! It's never too early to make Christmas cards and I decided to make this one with some Power Poppy stamps...both clear and digital ones.  I printed the wreath from Wreath Succulent & Baubles digital stamps and the Merry Christmas sentiment from Chickadee In Barberry digitals on White CS.  To make this a special Christmas card for a friend, I stamped the friends sentiment from Sassy Succulents clear stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the wreath with Copics G000, G20, G82, BG11, BG05, BG72, and Y28 and added some sparkle and shine with Wink of Stella and Clearstar Pen.   I used a Gold Simmer Metallic CS for the base and a layer of White CS that I colored the edges with Copics to coordinate with colors in the wreath.  This is a quick way to have a coordinating CS that is a perfect match.

Challenges:
Power & Spark Challenge: August Mix and Match Challenge-combine ANY KIND of Power Poppy stamp sets: Clear with Clear, Digital with Digital, or if you’re really feeling adventurous...Clear with Digital.  I used 2 digital stamps from 2 different sets Wreath Succulent & Baubles and Chickadee In Barberry and 1 clear stamp from Sassy Succulents.

Fun with Oxide Ink

Hello! I have been playing again with Oxide Ink Iced Spruce to create a couple of One Layer cards using Colored CS.   The top card is GKD Chocolate Brown CS stamped with Power Poppy image from Sassy Succulents and sentiment from PP Lavender set.  Love the way the oxide ink pops on the dark CS.  Filled in the succulent with pencils in two shades of green. Added a touch of shine to 2 of the words with Stardust pen.
This second card is Black CS stamped with Hero Arts Leafy Vine cling stamp...love the velvety look of the oxide ink.  Finished with a Power Poppy Sentiment from Sassy Succulents in the same ink.

Bird on a Fence

Second Post Today
Hello!  Today I am playing with a challenge from Sparkle and Shine shown below.  I began by cutting a Cardinal from card stock using a Silhouette file on the Cameo.   I created the fence using White CS, Memento Gray Flannel ink, and Scor-pal and trimmed by hand to the size needed for the fence.   For the background I embossed white CS with Darice  EF Leafy Tree and inked the raised surface with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and the sky with Memento Summer Sky ink.  I added Silver Sequins (snow) to all the leaves and randomly let a few fall from the tree.  The elements were all attached to a Dark Gray card base and then I stamped the sentiment from Power Poppy Stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Shades of Green

Hello!  I started off to make a green card and that is what I got....all green. Not another color in sight!
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for my design since it had circles as also in the photo inspiration from Sparkle & Shine Challenge.  I was going to break up the color with a bit of white but I ended using 4 shades of Green Card Stock, Memento Bamboo Leaves and Pear Tart inks, and green sequins.  The Heart was cut from a Foil Shamrock Confetti and added in with the sequins.
Other Supplies: Power Poppy Sassy Succulents stamp set, Cuttlebug EF Tiny Bubbles, Nesties Circle Dies, Sukara Clear Star Pen, and foam dots.

Succulents with Pencils

Welcome to my studio!  Today I am playing with Power Poppy stamps from the Sassy Succulents set.  I stamped the sentiment and three pots of the succulents with Memento Espresso Truffle ink on white CS and colored with Koh-I-Noor and OMS.  I loved how the coloring with pencils turned out.  I really did not start with a design and just let the layout evolve.  I used Spellbinders Regal Frame dies to embossed and cut the frame.  I inked the raised areas to bring out the embossing but afraid it does not show well in this photo.  I placed the framed images on a Pear Tart card base.
Not quite the look I wanted but it works for a few challenges.

Old Friends Are the Best

Today I am sharing a card that I made for the Repeat Impressions Sketch #0514 Challenge at The House That Stamps Built shown on the right.  I did  give the sketch a turn to the right for my use.  I love the Repeat Impressions Wine Series stamps which I have used for all the stamping.  The Wine Glasses were inked with Memento Tuxedo Black on to a rectangle of Ivory CS and colored with Copics R46 and R59 and shaded with a bit  of gray. I edged this with a Gold Metallic marker. To assemble the card, a Gold textured card base card was layered with a panel of pattern paper from Teresa Collins World Traveler pad. The sentiment was done with Versamark and Black EP on a Gold Metallic CS scrap and layered on a strip of Wine CS.  For embellishments I stamped the grape cluster and colored with the same Red Copics and Y28 and stamped the cork on a scrap of actual cork paper. These were fussy cut and attached.   I am pleased with the richness of this design.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Have a Glass Of Wine?

Welcome! I hope you have time for a glass of wine.  I am using Repeat Impressions stamps from their Wine Series set.  I stamped the bottle, glasses, and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a one layer card of White CS. I colored the images with assorted pencils and markers and added some shadows with a gray pencil. I tried to make the label on the bottle look very vintage..... the older the wine, the better it is.  I scored 3 lines at the lower edge to finish and anchor the card.

Make Your Own Background with Stamps

Hello! This card was made for a challenge to make your own background with stamps and I tied in some other elements from other challenges.  To make my background, I stamped a GKD flower design all over  pink cardstock with Versamark  and gold embossed.  After trimming this paper, I attached to the gold card base and attached the prepared  image and sentiment that were stamped on white CS and also gold embossed.  I edged the cut image and sentiment with Versamark ink and also embossed with gold EP since my Gold pen that I use for edges has dried up.  This was a fairly quick and easy card. The color of the flowers and paper match better in real life.  I always have trouble capturing the true color of pinks and also yellows in photos for posting.

Simple Card for a Friend

This card is for the Sketch Challenge at Annabelle's Stamp Blog - sketch

Thinking of a Friend

Happy Saturday. Welcome to another challenge at Speedy Fox and Friends.  Today we are doing friendship cards.  It is always nice to have cards on hand for friends to send to let them know that you care about them or are thinking of them, especially when they might need cheering up.  For my card, I used a recent stamp release "Bring on the Sun" from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. I stamped the sunflower image with bees and colored with Copics and cut it out. I highlighted the bee wings with Clear star pen. I stamped another sunflower image on to Shrinky Dink  and made some embellishes for the card.  Using a sketch from Tuesday AM sketches, I completed the layout with ribbon, pattern paper, and my sunflower embellies.

Please join us in the challenge this week for a chance to win a MFP stamp set. You have until 3PM on Friday August 24 to post your card. Remember, if you use MFP, a Heinrich Co. stamps your name will be entered into the drawing twice.
