Candle Trio

Hello! This Christmas card was inspired by the current Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge mood board shown below. The picture of the lantern with candles reminded me of a Memory Box Die in my collection so I used it to create this card.  The Gold Panel made with gold metallic CS and glitter gel and a stencil was actually leftover from another project.  It was a perfect fit for the Candle Trio that I die cut several times  and layered and pieced together.
Supplies used: My Favorite Things Stencil Radiating Rays, Memory Box Die Little Candle Trio, Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Die Merry Christmas, Spellbinders Rectangle Die, GKD Glitz Glitter Gel, Diamond Stickles, Red Cardstock, Green Cardstock, Mulberry Green Paper, Gold Metallic Cardstock, Red and Yellow Copics.

Happy 100th Birthday

Hello!  I made a very special card earlier this month for my Mother who celebrates her 100th Birthday this Sunday....her birthday is Monday January 20.  Family and friends will be gathering in Bruceton, TN to celebrate this milestone. I created this card using the Cameo for printing and cutting the cake and numbers that I attached to colorful patterned paper of falling confetti. The words were cut with Cheery Lynn and Marianne dies. I enhanced the front with pearls, glittery gemstones, stardust pen and glossy accents. Edged the card with yellow EP.  The inside of the card was designed  and printed  with Photoshop Elements. I included 100 candles, each enhanced with sparkly Stickles on the flames and glittery Stardust pen on the stripes.  A personal message was include on one of the panels but not shown here.  The finished size of the card was 8.5" high and 5.5" wide.

Happy 100th Birthday, Mother!

Happy 99th Birthday!

Welcome!  Today I am sharing a special card that I created for my Mother's 99th Birthday that is later this month.  I made a similar card for her a couple years ago and she loved it so I thought I would repeat my design by adding some more candles and also the Happy Birthday song.  I used Photoshop Elements to create the pages with text  and candles and then added dots and strips of glitter paper and used Diamond Stickles for glitter on each of the 99 Candles. That took a bit of time.  The front with 3 candles was attached to a Pink CS and then I attached 8 pages with 12 candles each printed on white CS.  The Happy Birthday song lyrics and music was printed across the bottom of the pages to which I added glitter dots.
The card fits these challenges:
Allsorts Challenge: Week # 502 Milestones with Numbers
Cards In Envy: It's all about the numbers challenge.  This card is less than 1/4", actually 1/8" so it does fit into an envelope.
Make My Monday Challenge: #87 Use Words or Sentiment.
Use Your Stuff: Challenge 342 As Time Goes By. 99 years is a lot of time gone by!
Crafty Catz: #444 Anything Goes with Optional Twist Birthdays

Photos below show the card as it appears opening.

Little Candle Trio

Hello! Happy World Cardmaking Day!  I hope that if you are a cardmaker that you have time to make a card today.  I am sharing a card that I made with a die from Memory Box Little Candle Trio that I just received from Dies R Us. (Purchased with a GC that I won.).  I cut the die in watercolor paper and colored the pieces with Copics and then placed the pieces back in the cut out which I framed with Red Velvet CS die cut.   Attached this to a panel of patterned paper from Crate Paper Peppermint pad and then to a card base of the Red Velvet CS.   I really like how the image looks against the pattern.
Supplies: Memory Box Little Candle Trio die, Spellbinders Frame Dies, Patterned Paper Crate Paper Peppermint Pad, GKD Red Velvet CS, Copics, Watercolor Paper.

Happy 97 Years Young

Hello!  Today I have the longest/widest card that I have ever made.  I created this birthday card for my Mother who will be 97 years young on the 20th...... a candle for each year!  I was inspired by a card that I saw at Fab 'n' Funky challenges made by Ginny. See her card on her blog My5Bratz Creations here.
I must admit I took a short cut and printed my card using Photoshop and Print Shop  instead of cutting the candles like Ginny.  I used Cheery Lynn Dies for the Happy Birthday and cut the number 97 with my Cameo. After assembling the card, I added some sparkle to each candle with Clearstar pen and Red Glitter Stickles.

Challenges:
Fab 'n' Funky Challenges:  #333 Birthday with a Number. Thanks for the inspiration, Ginny!
Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenges: Stickle Me Elmo! Use Stickles or a similar product.  Used Clear Star Pen and Red Glitter Stickles on candle flames, all 97!
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon Says Winter Birthday. I may be "stretching" this card to fit a Winter Birthday challenge but the birthday is in the winter and all those candles warm things up.

Light Up My Christmas

Hello!  I have been playing with glossy card stock to make this Christmas card with Candles cut from creamy white glossy CS on the Cameo using a Silhouette File.  I added a touch of glitter with Gold EP on the candles and Gold Foil on the Flames.  On my background of a glossy lustrous Oyster Pearl CS, I heat embossed  MFP Pine Cone and sentiment stamps with Zing Chestnut EP and colored the image with Copics.   I attached the die cut Candles to this and then on to a Dark Brown card base.   I was not that pleased with my choice of sentiment because the word Christmas is a rather funky font and does not show that well in the photo.

Challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room: Week# 263 Thankful.  I was inspired by the candles and pine cones and the colors of the inspiration photo.  In real life the card has a lot of texture in the embossed pine cones.
Simon Monday Challenge: Challenge is So Glossy.  I got my glossy on with 2 Glossy Card stocks and a shiny foil for the flames.
City Crafter Challenge Blog: Week 286 Getting Ready for Christmas.  I have another card ready for Christmas mailing.
Clear It Out Challenge: Theme: Halloween or Christmas cards. Stash:  Die Cuts.  Use Silhouette Cut File with Cameo.
Shopping Our Stash: SOS #226 Light my fire. Used candles.

Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa
