St. Patrick's Day Lantern

Hello! or should I say Top of the Morning to Ya?   I've been having fun creating St. Patrick's cards so I thought I'd make a Lantern for St. Pat's Day as well.  I started with a sheet of 12" x 12" green cardstock and cut the design with my Cameo using Silhouette file #253765 by Suzanne Cannon.  I erased the cuts for the fold lines before cutting because I like to use my Scor-Pal to mark the fold lines.  I think this gives a smoother look to all the folds.  I assembled the lantern and  used vellum to cover the openings.  Placed a battery tea light inside.

Wishes for a Wonderful Day

Hello!  Doesn't St. Patrick's Day remind you of rainbows and shamrocks?  I guess I was thinking of that when I made this card using a Shamrock cut with my Cameo from GKD Green CS.  I sponged the backdrop with a stencil from My Favorite Things called Radiating Rays using 7 colors of Distress Inks on a white CS panel for a rainbow effect.  I inked the edges with a Pilot Gold Metallic Marker.  I placed the shamrock on a circle of Gold Glitter paper before attaching to the background and then a White card base. Guess the gold represents a Pot of Gold found at the end of the rainbow. I stamped and heat embossed  a GKD  Sentiment, one of my favorites, from Old Country Roses set, on the shamrock.  St. Patrick's Day is always a Wonderful Day, hence the sentiment.

Playing Around

 

Hello!   This card was not made for any special purpose.  I had been looking for a Window Die to buy and finally realized why not just use the Cameo to cut a window.  That way I can adjust the size, style, and design to fit whatever I need.  There were several files to choose from and I chose one that has 4 different designs.  I cut several frames from one piece of paper so now I have a stash on hand.
I made this card (just playing around) using 2 embossing folders-Gingham EF for the wall to place my cut window and Birds and Swirls EF for the window scene.  Simply colored the birds and branches with marker after embossing blue CS. Finished by stamping sentiment (Repeat Impressions stamp) on a piece of the white CS left over from cutting the windows.

Light Up My Christmas

Hello!  I have been playing with glossy card stock to make this Christmas card with Candles cut from creamy white glossy CS on the Cameo using a Silhouette File.  I added a touch of glitter with Gold EP on the candles and Gold Foil on the Flames.  On my background of a glossy lustrous Oyster Pearl CS, I heat embossed  MFP Pine Cone and sentiment stamps with Zing Chestnut EP and colored the image with Copics.   I attached the die cut Candles to this and then on to a Dark Brown card base.   I was not that pleased with my choice of sentiment because the word Christmas is a rather funky font and does not show that well in the photo.

Challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room: Week# 263 Thankful.  I was inspired by the candles and pine cones and the colors of the inspiration photo.  In real life the card has a lot of texture in the embossed pine cones.
Simon Monday Challenge: Challenge is So Glossy.  I got my glossy on with 2 Glossy Card stocks and a shiny foil for the flames.

Nativity Card

 

Hello everyone.  My card today is another Christmas one made with a Silhouette Cut File Simple Nativity.  The black silhouette was attached to a pattern paper from American Crafts Kringle  & Co pad and then another pattern before adhering to Bazzill Berry Sensation Card Base.  Stamped a simple sentiment from GKD in black ink.

Question of the day: Should Mary be on the left or right?  In the original file she is on the right but I accidentally reversed the silhouette when I assembled the above card.  When looking at other Nativity images the arrangement of the Holy Couple varies.

On the right is another card that I made last year with this file but arranged same as in file.

BOO to You!

BOO! It's almost Halloween and time to get spooky!  I pulled out my Halloween stash and some Challenges for inspiration to make this card.  Finding some googly eyes, confetti bats, purple ribbon, and an old Boo Stamp from Mark's Finest Papers 2001 set, I began my card.  I made the Witch's hat with an Oval and Triangle cut from Black CS and added the Purple ribbon and Cameo Cut Vellum Feather with the eyes. Have you ever seen such a Spooky hat?  On the Black Card base I added some old paper from Echo Park Apothecary Emporium (hoarding this for Halloween), Neon Green Panel, and Black Bats circling the hat.  I stamped the BOO with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and heat embossed with Clear EP.

Challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room: Week #261 Boo-riffic.  I was inspired by the Witch's Hat and the colors Black, Purple, and Green and of Course the word BOO!

CAS Christmas Card

Welcome to my studio. Today I have a Christmas card that I made with a Silhouette File and Cheery Lynn Dies.  The Nativity scene was cut with the Cameo from Black CS and the Sentiment was cut with the dies.  I simply attached both to pattern paper from American Crafts  Kringle & Co pad and then a White CS base.
