More Tulips

Hello! I have more tulips today.  Today I am using a stamp from Repeat Impressions Tulips Bouquet that I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white CS and colored with Copics  to match the colors in the color challenge shown in the graphic below.  I used some solid Pink and Green CS from a color pack that also match the colors in the challenge. Following a Sketch challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches,  I assembled papers with the image and added some Lace colored with a Copic and Paper embellishments die cut with Spellbinders Regal Frame dies. The pink panel was embossed with an EF from Embossalicious.  I decided not to use a sentiment on the front of this card but will use one on the inside.

Spooky Pumpkins

Hello! Still feeling vibes of Fall and Halloween in my card designs.  For this one I have used A Day For Daisies digital image  Barrel of Fall Flowers printed on White CS and colored with Copics and sparkles with Clear Star pen.  The Kraft card base is layered with a pattern from  The Apothecary Emporium pad from Echo Park. that I embossed with Cuttlebug EF Divine Swirls. I finished the design with row of Black Lace (colored with black Copic),  Spooky die cut with Cottage Cutz , and a Raven leftover from another project.  Think this was cut with Cricut.  The Raven seems to be watching over the black birds on the barrel...Spooky!!!

Lavender and Lace

Second Post Today

Hello! I had 2 challenges in mind in making this card--the challenge at Stamp TV to Count Your Layers and the Mod Squad Challenge Lavender and Lace.  From my stash, I pulled out some solid and pattern lavender papers and ribbon and lace to begin.  I stamped the lacy doily from GKD Nana's Needlework on white CS with Memento Lilac Plum and cut with a circle die.  I layered this on a lavender pattern paper embossed with EF Gingham and added Satin Ribbon layered with White Lace.  This was attached to a White layer and then a textured Bazzill Lavender card base.  I added the fussy cut sentiment from GKD Nana's Needlework Sentiment that I heat embossed on Lavender Vellum with White EP. Added some Rhinestones and touches of lavender Gelly Pen for sparkle.
I count 5 layers of papers plus the ribbon and lace layers.  The vellum and the ribbon are more the same color than they appear in the photo.

"Thorn Bushes Have Roses"

 Hello! I love Roses! And I love Pattern Paper!  I am combing those two loves in this card using 3 Pattern Papers from Our Daily Bread Designs Shabby Rose Collection.  When I first saw the Sketch Challenge at Our Daily designs   Blog, I immediately thought of this paper collection and how to use it for my design.  I used an old GKD sentiment stamp from Say It With Flowers to complete the Rose theme card.
Other Supplies: Green CS from stash, Versamark Ink, Zing Chestnut EP, Fiskars Scallop Punch, Pink Satin Ribbon, Prima Rose.

For My Mother

 Welcome to my studio.  Today I am sharing the tri-fold shutter card that I made for my Mother.  She  has always been sewing or quilting since she was old enough to sew.  I made this special card for her featuring beautiful papers from Our Daily Bread Soulful Stitches Collection and used stamps from GKD Needlework Sentiments, MFP's Sew What?, and a Winnie and Walter set.  I added lace, gold metallic thread, buttons, charms, a needle, embossing with folders, die cuts, and a stamped fancy cut dressmaker form with flowers. Some of the inks used were Memento Potter's Clay and Distress Ink Antique Linen. Also used White Textured and Green CS's.

This is a design that I do not use often but I love making these tri-fold cards. I did enclose a message on the back but do not have a photo to show.

"Quilted" Card

 

Second Post:
Today, I am sharing another one of the birthday cards that I made for a friend's mother who recently celebrated her 100th Birthday.  I created a  "Nine Patch" quilt design with pattern paper scraps and embossed the "quilt" with EF Wicker Weave.  Two of the squares were made with floral stamps on ivory CS squares and distress inks.  I used an Ivory Card base layered with blue CS and added the "quilt" with a yellow mat.  The sentiment was cut with Cheery Lynn Dies and Cameo.  Added some antique lace from my stash and black gems.

100th Birthday

Hello!  I am sharing a card that I made for a friend whose Mother is celebrating her 100th Birthday on Sunday and she wanted a very personal card for the occasion.   What a wonderful celebration that will be!  And how many chances do we get in our lifetime to make a card for someone turning 100?
Since she is a quilter, we decided on a theme of quilts.  In my stash, I have been hoarding a Pattern Paper of Double Wedding Ring design which is perfect for this card.  After embossing a section of the pattern with Cuttlebug Wicker Weave EF to give it a quilted effect, I layered it on mats of Yellow and Blue  CS.   I printed the sentiment on Ivory CS and the word Mother on Vellum .  I assembled all these elements adding Lace, Blue Satin ribbon and bow, Pearls, Die cut frame for "Mother", and quilt panel on an Ivory card base.  I use Clear Star pen on the sentiment for a bit of shine on the Gold letters.  I used items all from my stash that I had collected over the years.

Dahlias for My Darling

Hello!  Over a year ago I purchased some Susan's Garden Dies with a gift certificate prize  and have not used but one of them.   I decided it was time to learn to use and make more flowers.   I used Green and Pink Cardstock with the Dahlia dies and a Copic pen to shade the petals.   I'd like to get some Pan Pastels if I start making a lot of flowers.  I cut the petals and leaves and shaped and assembled them following a video by Susan.  it was quite easy and with practice I should improve and do faster.  I made the card using a Tuesday Morning sketch, Pink Card Base, layer of unknown pattern paper from my stash, a bit of lace, and white Sprinkles colored with Copic Marker.  The Repeat Impressions sentiment was stamped on Pink Scrap in Memento Bamboo Leaves ink ..... also edged this layer with the ink.

Thanks Bunches

Hello! I am back with another Bicycle theme card made with Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection. I stamped the Bicycle and Sentiment on a panel from the paper with  Papers and Such stamps using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.   I colored the  basket of flowers with Pink Glaze pen and added some lace underneath the image. I used an Ivory card base and a layer of pink CS with the image layer.

Vintage with Lace and Pearls

I had not planned to do another post today, but some of the deadlines are nearing closing so not to miss out I am back again.
Today, I have a vintage card with lace and pearls.  I began with a panel from Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Journey Collection which I cut out the center with a Spellbinders oval die.  I embossed the panel with Cuttlebug EF Victoria and edged it with brown ink before attaching to a Teal Blue card base with a strip of ivory lace.  The center was stamped with HFC All Occasion Sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Chestnut EP.  I added 4 pearls to the lacy corners and a blue satin ribbon tied with a single knot to the bottom of the panel.  Love the lacy designs in the pattern paper with the texture of the lace, pearls and ribbon.

A Baby's Smile

This is  a second entry for this week Sugar Creek Hollow challenge to make a vintage card with the theme Baby Face.  I found this image in my search for baby images at Creative Joy-Scrapglede  and just had to make a card with it using items from my stash of old scrap booking supplies that I had laying on the desk from my earlier card.  I added distressing with distress inks and distress tool and added ribbons, button, and lace to finish. The stamped sentiment is from GKD and stamped in Memento  Espresso Truffle ink.  All supplies from stash.

From the Heart

Second post today.....trying to catch up with some challenges.
The challenge at Cheery Lynn- to use lace- inspired me to create a Valentine's Card.  I knew I wanted to use Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish Die...one of my most favorite dies. I cut the die twice from some white iridescent card stock. I found some red lace in my lace box that I have had forever from a challenge prize.  Trying to use up some of my stash. I cut 3 scalloped hearts using Nesties and GKD red card stock and layered with pop up dots. I used a white card base , then a layer of the red card stock, topped with an embossed textured white card stock using Cuttlebug EF Victoria...gives a romantic feel.  I edged this layer with the lovely red lace and arranged the flourishes and the stack of hearts. I finished with a banner stamped with Flourishes " From the Heart" that I free  cut. I may add some pearls to the heart but leaving card as is for this post.

Another Vintage Thanksgiving Card

I am back with another Vintage card.  When searching for an image for the challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, I found this image from Magic Moonlight Free Images in my files and just had to use on a card. After printing,  I distressed the image with distress inks and a distress tool and placed on a layer of Digi Paper and then onto a mat of BasicGrey pattern from Oliver paper pad. My green card base is from GKD.  Added lace and ribbon with a couple of metallic leaves recycled from something.   The lace was recycled from my Mother's scraps in her sewing room that I claimed on a visit.

Doily for My Thank You Card

When I saw a challenge to use a doily but you could not use a paper one, a die cut one or a crochet one, I remembered this love doily stamp from GKD "Nana's Needlework" that I  have not used lately since I starting use die cut ones. I stamped the round doily on Glossy White CS with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger White EP. I then added Tim Holtz Distress Inks Broken China and Tumbled Glass to bring out the Doily. Added the sentiment from GKD "Needlework Sentiments", made the corner trims in the same manner as the doily, and added real lace across the bottom to finish. This card has great texture.

Lovely in Lace

The  first Noon Time challenge for Flourishes April release is the “Lovely in Lace” challenge. We are to use some type of lace on our cards - a lace trim, a lace background or even a lacy styled die cut. I knew I had to use Flourishes "Lace Edges" stamp set for my entry. I stamped the lace border on Flourishes White CS with SU Brocade Blue Ink, edged the top and bottom with Pilot Gold Marker, added some ribbon thread with a Spellbinder Fancy Tag and a sentiment from "Spring Has Sprung". Adhered this to the card base of Bazzill Textured Blue CS. Finished with some rhinestone bling.  And I have my entry!

Lacey Birthday Card

At Timeless Tuesday this week, Beate's challenge is to make a Birthday Card.  I used Flourishes stamps to make my card with a stamped lace edge  and ribbon with  a cherry blossom branch dropping petals. I finished with pearls accenting the center of the lace design.

Vintage Santa Again

This is another vintage card using stripes and spots for the challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow. I used Pattern Papers from Authentique Paper Pad "Wonder"  including the Postcard cut from one of the papers. I added some lace, green rhinestones and a sprig of pine cones and berries to complete the card. I did some distressing on the lace and papers with Distress Inks Barn Door, Antique Linen, and Brushed Corduroy.

Challenges:

Vintage Tea

Good morning. Do you have time for a cup of tea? This card fits a few challenges. At Sugar Creek Hollow, the challenge is called VINTAGE TEA. We are to create a vintage, shabby chic or primitive card or other paper-crafted project featuring vintage tea pots and cups. I am also entering other challenges  to use lace/ribbon and lavender.
 I used a Paper Cupcake digital image called "Teacup with Roses". I printed the image on a digital floral background found on my Photoshop files and adjusted the color to lavender and the size for my card dimensions. I then colored the image with Copics, added some Glitter to the lavender roses with Sakura Clearstar pen, and added Glossy Accents to the cup. Used a base card of Parchment CS, punched the edge with Martha Stewart Floral Lace Punch. Attached the image layer with a Doily section on the corner, vintage lace on the lower edge (Lined with dark lavender ribbon), and a sheer bow of lovely lavender. Added a strip of lavender paper to the inside under the punched edge to highlight the punched design. Sentiment from Flourishes stamped in SU green.

Lace and Buttons with Metallic Card Stock

 This was a fun card that I made to cover a few challenges. Used a new EF that I purchased last week...has a very Victorian feel to the design. The metal buttons are some that I recycled from a suit...maybe there's a challenge out there to fit that too.

Cooking Up with Vintage

The challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow wants us to create a vintage, shabby chic or primitive inspired card and play TIC TAC TOE according to the game board shown below. Since I received a lot of feedback and encouragement from my vintage card last week, I am back to try another one. I chose to play the top row using lace, buttons, and diecuts on my card.

I used digital images- a freebie from Create with TLC and sentiment from Meljens. I colored the image  with copics and pencils, trimmed it amd placed on a mat cut with a die. Also cut the sentiment with a tag die that I modified. Added some aging and distressing to all layers with distress ink. My button and lace are very old that I added.  I used a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday for my layout.
