K-Cup Holder

Hello!  I an sharing a gift box that I made for holding Pumpkin Spice Coffee K-cups.  I used my Cameo to cut the elements from Orange CS and  Heartful Creations Patterned Papers from Classic Editions Collection but did not use dotted lines for folds(erased those before cutting design). I used Scor-pal to create scoring for fold lines.  The design was 3D coffee cup gift set by Jamie Lane Designs. Use double sided tape to assemble. Fussy cut pumpkins from pattern paper for the top.

Challenges:
Love To Craft Challenge Blog: LTCCB #40 November Anything Goes
Scor-Pal:  More than one score challenge- November #65 Birthday or Fall. Made fall design.
Alphabet Challenge: P is for Poppies or Pumpkins.  My project features Pumpkins.
Coffee Lovers Blog Hop: Projects need to have a caffeinated element.

Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa

Mountain Lake Scene

Welcome to my studio! I have made a second card for Joan's Touch challenge to make a card using  layered nested frames of a scene cut with dies. More details on how to use this technique and the challenge are on Joan's Blog  http://www.joanstouch.com/.  While you are visiting,  take time to subscribe to Joan's new blog which she began after retiring.
For her challenge, Joan is asking us to use a scenery stamp, make a layer as she did (check her blog for details), use any color, and use a product sold at Joan's Gardens. .  All Heartfelt Creations Products used are from Joan's Gardens. I stamped the scene on a Pattern Paper which adds to the background.   I used more color in this card than my first one.  I used pencils and white pen to add greens to the mountains and white to the clouds. The pattern paper is predominantly shades of blue.

Supplies used for my card:
Stamps: Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3526 Natural Beauty (Mountain Lake Scene ), Mark's Finest Papers Sentiment
Papers: Stamped on Pattern Paper from Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Journey Collection, Embossed Layer White CS,  Card Base and Frame Slate Blue Cardstock from stash
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Green Pencils and White Pen
Dies: Spellbinder  Label 4 --used 3 dies for the layers of the scene and one for solid color frame
Embossing Folder:  Darice  Clouds
Foam Tape

3 of Something

Hello! Can you believe another Christmas card in June?  This card is for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas challenge to use 3 of something.  I thought 3 Wise Men would qualify.  I used papers from Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collection to create this card. The card base and Scallop Circle frame (cut with Nesties die) are  Oyster Pearl Glossy Card Stock. The sentiment was fussy cut from one of the papers in the collection. I added a gem stone on one star and used Sakura Clear Star pen on the rest.

Craftyhazelnut's Monthly Extra Challenge: Anything goes as long as it is for Christmas

Another Card for Joan's Challenge

Hello again!  I am back with another stand up card with one fold for Joan's Touch Challenge  #15.  Her requirements this week are:
Cut one part of an image so it is standing above the card.
Use card stock for color.
Add a sentiment.
Use a product sold at Joan's Gardens.

I began this creation with a pattern paper from Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Journey Collection that I bought at Joan's Gardens and cut a section 7.5" x 4.25 " from one of the card stocks.   I stamped a Birthday Girl  from Paper Pretties Surprise Sophia with Memento Espresso Truffle and cut the upper part of her with an Exacto Knife. I made the folds according to the directions given by Joan in her challenge post here to create the card.  I stamped a sentiment from the same set with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  The top photo shows the card leaving the image the color of the card stock.  The second photo shows the image colored using only colors that are in the pattern of the card stock.   This shows 2 different interpretations of the direction "Use card stock for color." I prefer the second photo but which version actually meets the challenge?  I also have shown the way that I finished the back with an additional piece of paper and another stamp.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Vintage with Lace and Pearls

I had not planned to do another post today, but some of the deadlines are nearing closing so not to miss out I am back again.
Today, I have a vintage card with lace and pearls.  I began with a panel from Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Journey Collection which I cut out the center with a Spellbinders oval die.  I embossed the panel with Cuttlebug EF Victoria and edged it with brown ink before attaching to a Teal Blue card base with a strip of ivory lace.  The center was stamped with HFC All Occasion Sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Chestnut EP.  I added 4 pearls to the lacy corners and a blue satin ribbon tied with a single knot to the bottom of the panel.  Love the lacy designs in the pattern paper with the texture of the lace, pearls and ribbon.

Challenges:
Craft Your Passion Challenge:  Pearls and Lace
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge: Challenge is Flourishes. Mine are in the stamped sentiment as well in the pattern paper
Clear it Out Challenge: Theme is Vintage, Stash is Pearls
Shopping Our Stash:   Make a Birthday or Anniversary...this card could go either way.

Tag, You Are It

Hello!  I made this card using papers from Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Journey Collection. I cut one of the panels and using Easy Frame, I embossed the outer edges with Cuttlebug EF Herringbone. Added some color to the panel with Copics. I attached a tag (from same collection)  stamped with a sentiment from Heartfelt Creations All Occasion Set in Memento Teal Zeal ink. The teal card base is from stash and I found 2 teal floral brads in my brad collection....must have saved from a card that I received.  The tag swings on the brad to reveal the full sentiment "Especially for You on your Special Day".

Challenges:
Seize the Birthday: Toppings option is Tags with a birthday card.
Shopping Our Stash Weekly: Make a Birthday or Anniversary Card
Crafty Catz: Challenge is embossing.

Take to the Road

Hello!  I have been playing with a great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and came up with a Travel theme card made with papers from Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Journey Collection.  The bicycle stamp is from Paper and Such and was stamped on a tag from the collection with Memento Tuxedo Black and Rose Bud inks. I used a Pink Glaze pen on the flowers. Using a shiny Oyster Pearl as the card base, I used a Pink Pattern as a mat, topped that with the Map Pattern, a panel of the Pink Pattern, the tag with image, a tag with printed sentiment, a postage stamp with metal brad, and 2 other brads...one with a gemstone.

Almost Stumped by Stencil Challenge

One of my favorite weekly challenges  is Joan's Touch challenge and this week it was a very challenging one for me.  We were to
-use a stencil (Option was to use shadow technique)
-combine 2 Patterns of Papers
-make a card, a book, a note.....
-use a product sold at Joan's Gardens

The difficult part was to use a stencil...I only own 3 stencils which were bought at garage sales.  Finally I came up with a plan to make a card for  Joan's Touch Challenge using a Birthday Cake brass stencil (50 cents at the garage sale) with papers from Heartfelt Creations Classic Editions Collection purchased at Joan's Gardens.  I laid the stencil on a panel cut from the collection and colored in the stencil with markers and gold metallic pen.  I did not try the shadow technique. Using a double sided  pattern paper for the card base, I attached the image with a mat and a strip of another pattern  to the front of the card.  I used a clear epoxy sticker from Cloud Designs to create a Birthday Card.   I finished the inside with another panel stamped with a verse from Creative Vision Stamps using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  The pattern paper shows up really well in the bottom photo of the inside of the card.

Winter is Here

Winter is definitely here!   I have been busy making calendars, creating a photo book of quilts made by my Mother, making cards, and decorating for Christmas.  I also spent some time spending a $100 GC that I won from Joan's Gardens...how fun was that!  I thought today would be a good day to post a snowy scene.  This is a card that I made with Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collections using one of the panels and adding an oval frame with nesties die, some embossing with CB Snowflakes EF, and some sparkle with Clearstar pen and Stickles.  I used a navy card base. Sentiment is from Annabelle Stamps.

Challenge:
The Glory of Christmas: Theme is Snow.

Black and White Again

Hello!  Today I have another card for Joan's Gardens challenge to use Black and White Only, use Christmas theme, use a Frame, and use a product sold at Joan's Gardens. See details at www.atjoansgardens.com.  From my first card made for this challenge, I had a negative in black leftover from cutting a Doily with Cheery Lynn's French Pastry die and decided to use it for another card. I cut the edge with a Martha Stewart border punch and attached this to  a white card base. To the center I placed an image from the Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collection that I cut with a SB Circle Die and layered with another circle cut with SB Lacey Circle Die.  The sentiment is from Flourishes and was heat embossed with white EP. I added some sparkle to the stars with Sakura Clear Star Pen. I like the frame that resulted in using the negative. Inside the card, I used a verse cut  from the Heartfelt Creations Christmas Collection. Shown below.
Vendors highlighted in red are sold at Joan's Gardens.

Animal Magic

Back today for another quick post and Christmas card.  The theme for the challenge at Cute Card Thursday is Animal Magic.  I thought of this magical gathering of animals at the Nativity scene in this image from Heartfelt Creations Christmas Card Collection. I cut the panel from the set, added some velvet ribbon with gold edging, some glitter with a Clear-Star Pen and a rhinestone, and placed on a card base of glossy Oyster Pearl Cardstock from my stash. Adhered the sentiment from the same  collection with pop up dots. I enjoy all your comments.  I have finished about 40 cards made with this Heartfelt collection that I will be giving to my Mother for her to send to family and friends.  I will be posting more of them in the future.
Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday: Animal Magic
Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge: Christmas/ Winter Holiday and Ribbon.

Bird for the Holidays

This week Flutter By Wednesday has a challenge to use Any Winged Creature not just butterflies or faries.  I made this card featuring a winter bird using products from the Heartfelt Creations Christmas Card Collection.  I did some embossing using Cuttlebug EF Kassie Brocade and an embossing frame to  do partial embossing.  I used a slate blue card base from my supplies and glaze pens to highlight details on the image. I popped up the sentiment that I fussy cut.
I am also entering this in the Paper Players Challenge Wildlife #170.

Three Wise Men

Hello! I know it is  lovely fall weather but today I have a Christmas card to share. This is for a challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge to be inspired by the photo shown below.  This is one time that I knew what I wanted to create as soon as I read the challenge.  I started with a sheet from Heartfelt Christmas Card Collection.  I cut out the Three Wise Men  scene with Nesties circle die and framed with a Burgundy Circle cutout. This I layered on to a design cut with a Geo Die from navy cardstock backed with white. I thought this geometric die fit well the stars in the scene. I layered this on more of the paper from the Christmas collection that I embossed with Cuttlebug EF Diamond Plate. I adhered all the layers to a card base of Navy. The sentiment is from GKD and stamped with SC Bravo Burgundy.  I finished with a Rhinestone and used Clear Star Pen on the smaller Star for shine in the sky.
Challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: Photo Inpiration
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra: Anything goes for October as long as it is Christmas.
Crafting Musketeers: Challenge #6 Christmas in October
