Gateway to a Garden

 Hello!  I was  tested by the recent challenge at Mrs. A's Butterflies.... her guest selected A for the challenge and we were asked to use an Arch on our butterfly cards and I had no idea what to use for my arch.  Then the light came on and I thought I should use a gate with an arch leading into a garden.  I pulled out Our Daily  Bread Gilded Gate die and a frame die from Spellbinders Card Creator and used white glossy paper to build my gate with an arch. I only used the top part of the frame and attached with the gate.  I used a pattern paper from ODB Shabby Rose Collection Paper Pad to create the garden filled with roses and butterflies. I added green vines cut with Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die and Prima Pink Roses with layered butterflies punched from pattern papers and pink CS.  I decided to not use a sentiment on the front but used that on the inside (shown below)  of the card finished with more of the pattern papers and a sentiment from Repeat Impressions.

"Thorn Bushes Have Roses"

 Hello! I love Roses! And I love Pattern Paper!  I am combing those two loves in this card using 3 Pattern Papers from Our Daily Bread Designs Shabby Rose Collection.  When I first saw the Sketch Challenge at Our Daily designs   Blog, I immediately thought of this paper collection and how to use it for my design.  I used an old GKD sentiment stamp from Say It With Flowers to complete the Rose theme card.
Other Supplies: Green CS from stash, Versamark Ink, Zing Chestnut EP, Fiskars Scallop Punch, Pink Satin Ribbon, Prima Rose.

Roses Make a Point!

Hello!  Today I am posting a card made with Flourishes stamps for the challenge at Timeless Tuesday to use dots to color your background and/or part of your image. I had colored a background of white Cardstock with multi color dots but decided it was way too busy with my image so nixed that idea. I stamped the Rose from A Year of Flowers  with Memento Espresso Truffle ink on white cardstock and colored the petals  with dots of Copics R20,81,83,85 and the leaves with G40,82, and YG 03.  Need a bit of practice with this technique of pointillism.  I used a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to assemble my card design with a white card base, layered with a mat of green, a layer MME's paper embossed with Cuttlebug EF Polka Dots, and a die cut layer of textured green cardstock under the image. Used a corner punch on the corners of the green mat.  Added 3  Prima roses of varying shades of pink and 3 pearls to embellish. I was trying to pick up on the colors of the pink "points" in the rose. Sentiment from Flourishes Timelines was stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink on an oval cut with Spellbinders die and outlined with Memento Marker.

Lacy Dress for a Good Time

I have been trying to think what to make for Joan's Garden Challenge which is: make a Girly card  

 using pastel colors, lace, one bow, flowers, and at least one product from Joan's Gardens. I finally created this card today making a girly dress from a doily.  I learned how to make the dress at my stamping club when Brenda shared it with us. Instead of making it with a purchased doily I cut my own doily with Cheery Lynn Die called French Pastry...it cuts a 4" design which is perfect for this. (Cheery Lynn dies can be purchased at Joan's).  The skirt was made with Pink CS and the bodice was part of another pink doily lined with white CS and colored with Sukura Clear Star pen for some glitter.  I added a band of ribbon at the waist and added a bow.  To assemble the card, I used a card base of Pink CS layered with a mat of Yellow CS and then added a layer of Floral Pattern Paper from MME pad, then a strip of Dot Paper from same pad. Added a lace from stash that I colored with Pink Copic.  A strip of embossed silver Metallic (CB EF Victoria) and a Scallop Oval in the same Metallic were attached to the card.  I centered the doily dress on the oval and finished with a Prima Rose and sentiment embellishment from stash.  All solid cardstock was purchased at Joan's Garden.  I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Challenge for my layout.  This was the second card that I made with this sketch which I really liked.

Tilda in the Spring Garden

Welcome! Today I am playing with a Tilda stamp, one of 3 minis that I won sometime ago but never inked up.  I thought it would be difficult to color because of the size but it was not at all.  It was fun to color it with Copics and I found a lovely sketch to partner with the image. I made this with a spring theme and added roses to match the ones that she is holding.  I stayed with pastel colors in the papers and ribbons.

Cheery Card for Speedy and More

I seem to be making more and more square cards but I need to make some envelopes so that I can mail them. This card is for Speedy the Cat's Friends color challenge. One of my favorite MFP's Stamps is Happy Pansies that I use a lot and used again. I found the sketch from One Stop challenges for a design but changed the oval to a circle since I wanted to use the doily that I had precut.
