Sunflower Greetings

 Welcome!  I am playing with another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches shown below.  I used a Repeat Impressions Sunflower stamp (yes, I have another sunflower stamp) stamped with Memento Toffee Crunch ink on White CS and colored with Copics.  Trimmed this with an oval die and placed on a green patterned mat cut with a scalloped oval die.  Used some die cuts of patterned paper and a polka dot background all from Kaiser Craft Jungle Bug pad to complete the card.  Stamped sentiment from Flourishes set in brown ink and added a dragonfly button from my stash.
I have had the sunflower stamp since 2015.

Seashell Background

Hello!  I am back with another nautical theme card using a sketch from the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I made the background for the card using Spellbinders Impressabilities Sea Scape as a stencil using Distress Oxide ink on White CS Panel. The seashells pattern was inspired by the Mood Board from Double D Nautical Challenge. I used a textured blue CS as the card base and a rectangle  of the same CS to mat the Sentiment stamped in DOI Faded Jean on a die cut oval of white CS.  To keep in the nautical theme, for an embellishment, I added a Lighthouse button with "white rope".

Summer Scene at the Beach

Hello!  My birthday card today has Watercoloring with Distress Oxide Inks, a Button,  Embossing, and a nautical theme with a sailboat.  I pulled out an old stamp from my files and stamped with Versamark ink on watercolor paper, heat embossed with black EP, and colored the scene with a water brush. I trimmed the beach-side scene and placed on a mat of Blue CS and a card base of  GKD Tan Leather CS.  Finished with a Seagull Button that was part of a collection of ocean theme buttons that I bought several years ago on Sanibel Island.  Cut off the shank before attaching to the finished card. Distress Oxide inks used were Salty Ocean, Broken China, Vintage Photo, Antique Linen. Walnut Stain, Abandoned Coral, and Peeled Paint.

New Technique

 

 Hello! Today I am playing with a Carved Wood Background technique that I saw here on Stamp TV.  You make a wood grain design with scoring and inks and then emboss with an EF and then wipe with white pigment ink to get the final result.  I went with a Time Theme on this card combining a Clock EF with a GKD Verse.  I used a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Supplies: GKD White, Ivory, and Brown  CS; Stamp-Gina K Say It With Flowers; Inks-Memento Rich Cocoa and Desert Sand, Brilliance Moonlight White; Darice EF; Ribbon and Button from stash.

How to Measure Life?

 

Inside

 Hello!  My card was made with a Repeat Impressions verse stamp that I used a portion on the front and stamped the balance of the words for the inside using Memento Toffee Crunch ink. For the layout I used Tuesday Morning sketch challenge with a yellow Card Base and a Layer of Patterned Paper from Crate Paper DIY collection.  The "Doily" was a pre cut design from the same collection and I used a circle die to cut some of the same pattern for the inside.  The sentiment was die cut with rectangle die for the front and a circle die for the inside.   I finished the card with Yellow Satin Ribbon and a button from stash.   The button  was already threaded in the perfect color.....must have been recycled from a garment.

Piggy in a Planter

Hello! Today I have a card made with From the Heart stamp of the month Hamlet PigWit in the Planter.  I received this stamp for participating in last month's challenge.  Check out how you can participate in their challenges for free digis on their blog.  After printing this digital image and sentiment, I colored with Copics and Glaze Pens and assembled the card with a white card base and panels of Graphic 45 Secret Garden pattern papers.  I used the From the Heart sketch shown below.  I added an Orange Butterfly button from my stash.

Flower with a Leaf Button

 Hello!  I have been working outside and not spending  much time in my studio.  But I did take time to make this card for a few challenges. For this creation I used Gina K stamps and papers with some dies and a leaf button.  I really like this combo of the Hibiscus stamp and the paper as a background.

James With Pile Of Presents

Hello!  I am back with James, my favorite Bear from LOTV who is having trouble carrying his Christmas presents and has dropped one that is tumbling down my card.  He was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on White CS and colored with Copics and White Liquid Pearls on his Santa Cap.  I added some shine with Clear-star pen.  The falling box is a button from my stash.   Merry Christmas stamp is from MFP and stamped in Memento Lady Bug ink.  Card Base is a Textured Green CS from stash and stripe paper is American Crafts Hollyday pad topped with a Green Satin Ribbon.

Simple Card with Recessed Image

Hello!  Today I have a card made with Gina K Stamps frame from  Lovely Labels 2, a sentiment from Stippled Nature, and an image of a wheelbarrow that I won in a great grab bag from GKD.  The image was stamped and recessed beneath the Label Frame  which I cut out the center with a circle die. The frame was popped up above the image with pop up dots. I assembled the card on a green card base with a mat of red topped with the framed image.  The card looks BIRL because the photo distorted the margins of red and green because of the way I had card sitting.  I was too lazy to redo the photo. I added a wooden button with twine for the wheel of the cart. Thought this was the perfect size and type of button.

Challenges:
Stamp TV: Release challenge is RECESSED - make a card with a recessed focal image. The focal image has to be down inside of it and the frame should be a layer above the image.
