Hello! How was your weekend? Today I am sharing 2 similar Christmas cards made using GKD Stamps from Holiday Wreath Builder set for the wreath.  The top card uses a sentiment from Repeat Impressions.  Sentiments were stamped with Versamark and embossed with Gold EP.  Both panels with images were edged with Pilot Gold Metallic marker before attaching to card bases.

Using Scraps and Stash

Welcome!  I have some more Christmas cards using scraps and items from stash.   For the top card I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches as inspiration for the layout.  I cut strips from scraps of designer patterned paper with gold foil dots on pink.  I stamped the wreath from an old Flourishes set on glossy CS with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold EP and colored with 2 Pink Copics.  I trimmed with a Spellbinders circle die and attached to a Metallic Gold circle also cut with Spellbinders die.  I assembled the card with a card base of white CS but colored the edges with the same 2 Pink Copics to match wreath.  Added an embossed panel ( Cuttlebug Bubbles EF)  of GKD Metallic Gold CS with the strips,  image, and Cheery Lynn die cut words. Finished with a metallic gold bow.

This card was created with the same patterned paper and gold Metallic  paper as above but on ivory CS base.  The panel of gold metallic paper was embossed with Darice Santa Sleigh  EF. The sentiment from an old Annabelle set was heat embossed with Gold EP. Used more of the Metallic Gold ribbon to finish.

Happy Hanukkah

Welcome to my studio!  I made some Hanukkah cards which I mailed out last week.  I am sharing this one that I made using stamps from Gina K Designs Holiday Wreath Builder set.  I stamped the Star of David and sentiment with Memento ink.  The circle design around the sentiment was heat embossed with gold EP. I added the Gold Dreidel cut from Gold Metallic Cardstock with a Quick Kutz die. Used GKD Powder Blue and White Card stocks.
Note: The Star of David Stamp is missing in action.  I hope it turns up in the studio but I have searched everywhere.  I love the size of this stamp.

Rustic Christmas Wreath

Hello!  Another Christmas card for my stash.  I made this with Gina K stamps from the new Holiday Wreath Builder.  I made a rustic wreath design using small poinsettia and pine cone stamps and Memento inks.  A hand drawn design connected the images. Added the green circle around the sentiment in the center.  Finished with a Red Velvet card base to complete this CAS design.

Joy to the World

Welcome!  My holiday card today was made with Penny Black stamps from her Wonder Collection.  Stamped the Wreath and Joy on Ivory CS with red and black inks and trimmed with a Scallop Circle die and attached to a Green Die cut circle.  Arranged strips of patterned papers from American Crafts Kringle and Co. pad with solid red strips on an Ivory card base that I embossed with Cuttlebug Polka Dots EF.  Popped up the circle on a foam cut out to complete the card.  Thought the patterned paper coordinated  well with the design of the berry wreath.

A Pair of Christmas Cards with Wreaths

Hello! I was inspired by the Release Party Challenge at Stamp TV and the cards that I saw on Gina K Designs Blog hops to create these cards.   Gina K's challenge is Traditional Christmas -use the traditional red and green in a Christmas card.  I made 2 ( just as easy to do 2 as one) wreath style cards using stamps and dies from GKD Merry and Bright Stamp and Die set.  I do not have the wreath templates or any of the wreath builder stamp sets from GKD but I improvised using the stamps that I had and my own technique of making a wreath.
Top Card: Supplies GKD Red Velvet and Grass Green CS, Memento Bamboo Leaves and Lady Bug Inks and Markers, Holly Leaf Stamp and Die and Sentiment from Merry and Bright.

Second Card Supplies:  GKD Fresh Asparagus and Red Velvet CS, GKD Fresh Asparagus Ink, Memento Lady Bug and Love Letter inks, Leaf  and Poinsettia stamps and Poinsettia Die from Merry and Bright, Sentiment from Scripty Holiday stamp set, White Enamel Dot.

Christmas Wreath from a Flower

Welcome!   I have been playing with Distress Oxide inks again and was inspired by a video by Sandy Allnock  to create a wreath.   I used an old Poinsettia stamp (about 1 inch) from Poinsettias and Boxwoods ( had at least since 2012) by Flourishes ( designer Marcella Hawley) and stamped in a circle design with Lucky Clover ink on a watercolor paper panel.  I used a water brush to fill in the color and make it more abstract looking.  Used Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick inks with a Copic and Clear Star pen to add decorations with a small circle stamp, bow stamp and a pine cone stamp both from GKD.  Added some Nuvo Crystal Dots of Rhubarb Crumble.   Added Sentiment and Snowflakes cut with Cheery Lynn dies and a Card Base all in a Shimmering  Pink Pearl CS.
Challenges:
The Card Concept: Challenge 82 Retro Holiday-inspired by the colors and wreath in photo.
Inspired by All the Little Things: #73 Inspired by the pastel colors and ornaments.
Retro Rubber: Challenge #76 Anything Goes.  Poinsettia stamp at least 5 years old or older.

Christmas Card for a Friend

Hello! It's never too early to make Christmas cards and I decided to make this one with some Power Poppy stamps...both clear and digital ones.  I printed the wreath from Wreath Succulent & Baubles digital stamps and the Merry Christmas sentiment from Chickadee In Barberry digitals on White CS.  To make this a special Christmas card for a friend, I stamped the friends sentiment from Sassy Succulents clear stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the wreath with Copics G000, G20, G82, BG11, BG05, BG72, and Y28 and added some sparkle and shine with Wink of Stella and Clearstar Pen.   I used a Gold Simmer Metallic CS for the base and a layer of White CS that I colored the edges with Copics to coordinate with colors in the wreath.  This is a quick way to have a coordinating CS that is a perfect match.

Challenges:
Power & Spark Challenge: August Mix and Match Challenge-combine ANY KIND of Power Poppy stamp sets: Clear with Clear, Digital with Digital, or if you’re really feeling adventurous...Clear with Digital.  I used 2 digital stamps from 2 different sets Wreath Succulent & Baubles and Chickadee In Barberry and 1 clear stamp from Sassy Succulents.

Caroling Corky Angels

Welcome to my studio! Today I am sharing some crafty items that I have been making with wine corks.  The caroling angels are made using beads of various sizes and colors with ribbons, twines, gems, wine corks (collected over the years), and other items all from my stash of items.   I assembled the Angels using a glue gun.  The hardest part of this project was collecting the corks from Wine Bottles. LOL.
These angels can be used as ornaments, decorations for gifts, attachments for wreaths, or just for hanging around.

I also used corks for trivets( not shown) and message boards as shown on the left and for a wreath shown below.  I added one of the angels to the wreath.
I will change the décor of the wreaths with each season.

Bittersweet Wreath

Second Post Today:
Hello!  Sometimes I get stuck on a stamp set and have to make several cards with the set.   Here I have another wreath card using the Bittersweet Wreath from Flourishes Wreaths of All Seasons.  I stamped the wreath on Ivory CS with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored the berries with Memento Red marker.  This looks like a quick card but it took awhile to color the berries. Then I decided to recolor with a Red Glaze pen to give some texture which you cannot see in the photo but it did make a difference. Since I thought this card could be for Thanksgiving or Christmas, I decided to make it a Thinking of You card that  I could use for either occasion. I stamped the sentiment from Avery Elle with Memento Rhubarb Stalk and added a row of embossing with Cuttlebug EF Pop Culture border. Card base of Ivory was layered with a Brown Wood Grain Pattern from Fancy Pants pad and a mat of Red CS from scraps.  Finished with a small Check Bow for a homespun look.  I really like the somewhat rustic look of my card.

Christmas Wreath

Time is running out to get my entry in for Merry Monday Challenge to use a wreath on our Christmas Card.  I have had this Flourishes Wreath Stamp on my desk all week and just now made this card.  I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on GKD white CS and colored with Copics .  It took quite awhile to color this image with Copics YR 02,07,21, Y 28, R24,59, G21,82,85,99 and E 21,25, 29.  The card base of metallic gold and red layer are GKD Papers.  I also used Atyou Spica Gold on the bow and White Gel Pen on the berries. The sentiment from the same set as the wreath was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Ranger Embossing Pearl  Gold powder. Love the softness of this EP.

I am going to also enter at Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says anything goes.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa
