Hello! This card made my DH laugh so I guess he is having a Mice Day? I made this for the Sketch Challenge #144 at From The Heart which has a Twist to Make a Masculine card. You can use the sketch or the twist or use both. I selected some patterns and colors which I think are masculine and with the sketch, I featured the digital stamps from Mouse Balloon set which was a freebie at From The Heart shop. I printed the mouse on white CS and colored him (yes, he is a masculine mouse) with Copics and sponged with Memento Peanut Brittle ink. I cut this with a Spellbinder circle die with the balloon extended. I added some glossy accents to the balloon. I assembled the card with a Rust CS Card Base, a layer of BasicGrey Pattern Paper chosen because of the mice in the pattern, the printed From the Heart Sentiment, and a strip of dry embossed Yellow Gold CS. I finished with a cutout from the pattern paper showing the mice. 
Challenges:
Today I have another Back to School themed card that I have made with some old BasicGrey pattern paper from the Hopscotch paper pad. I have been trying to use up some of my old stash and scraps. I pulled colors from the number pattern paper to use in my image and card base. I stamped the blackboard (guess they are green today) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and wrote on the board using stamps with versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. The stack of books was also stamped in the black ink and colored with Copics B45, E25,G40,G82, R22. Other paper used was White Cardstock from stash and SU Coral cardstock. Ribbons from stash are coral and yellow grosgrain. Stamps used from Mark's Finest Papers Lesson Learned. Used Sweet Sunday sketch but missed the deadline for their challenge.
It is never too early to prepare for Christmas so I decided to make a Christmas Tag for the BasicGrey Challenge #99 - Make a Tag. I used Spellbinders Label 4 Dies to cut the front and back from a double side paper from BasicGrey Jovial found in my scraps. I cut 2 other pieces with a smaller die using another pattern paper from the same Jovial Pad. I stamped one smaller diecut with a Sentiment from Creative Clear Stamp Set "Holiday Sentiments" using Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder. For the inside layer I stamped "To and From" stamp from GKD in Versamark and Red Embossing Powder. I assembled the tag by adhering the smaller cutouts to the larger ones and using a Gold Tree Brad and ribbon from stash to join both sides together. This allows the top of the tag to twist around so the inside can be viewed. I hid the prongs of the brad on the back with an ornament cutout that I had made with Annabelle's Stamps and Diecut. I was pleased that I used only scraps in the making of this tag.....no full sheets of paper were cut!
I was inspired by the BasicGrey pattern paper to make this card using only papers, piece of acetate, and one stamp. I began with a sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges and BasicGrey Sweet Threads. I placed a mat of the large floral pattern on a solid Pink card base. I used flowers from a Sweet Threads page kit and popped up the smaller flowers on green circles cut with a Nesties die and popped up the larger flower in the center. I used BasicGrey green brads in the centers of the flowers. Since I did not want to hide the flowers with the sentiment, I stamped the GKD Happy Birthday on acetate with Black StazOn ink and used the brad to hold in place. 
Another card for today. I made this combining the challenge for Sweet Sunday sketch #187 and Basic Grey Challenge to use no stamped images with Basic Grey products. I used Basic Grey Cappella Paper pack to create the design on a card base from stash. I stamped a sentiment from Flourishes on a circle of Designer paper with Memento Espresso Truffle ink. I added some paper lace from K& Co. I like the play of all the designer papers together in this sketch. Added some highlights to the edges of some of the layers with a Blue Distress Ink.
I am back with a second post to enter this card for a few challenges. I followed the sketch shown below from Tuesday Morning Sketches and used Gina K Designs stamp "Buds and Vases". I stamped the image with Memento Espresso Truffle and colored with Copics G40, 82, YG893, and R81,83,85. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Pistachio....love the 12 new colors from Memento which I got last week. Love the names too. I used Yellow CS for the card base, image and sentiment mat. Pattern paper mat was used from BasicGrey Sweet Threads pack. I embossed that in Cuttlebug Polka Dots EF. I used 3 scraps of ribbon layered and Pink Pearls (Colored with Copics) to complete the card.
Challenges to enter:
At Timeless Tuesday this week, Silke challenged us to use our Favorite Flourishes stamp, our Favorite Die and our absolute Favorite Embellishments. Since BasicGrey is asking us to use our favorite color combo, I threw that in as well. I've use the sketch from Card Patterns, one of my favorite sources for sketches but I am sad that this is their final sketch. I will miss their blog challenge. So what are my faves? It is hard to select one from Flourishes stamps but the one I have used the most is definitely the "Year in Flowers" all 3 stamp sets. Here I used the Rose -my most fave from the entire set. I also used one of the sentiments from "Taglines", another Favorite Set. One of my Favorite Dies is Spellbinders Lacey Circle. For embellishments, I have to choose 2 Favorites-Pearls and Ribbons. And my Favorite Color Combo, the one I seem to use most often, is Pink and Green. And I have to add that BasicGrey is one my Favorite DP.
For Annabelle's sketch challenge this week, I used her "Whimsy Flowers" and "Dotted Flowers" to make this birthday card with a spring theme. Colored the image with Copics G20,21, E25, B0000,0000,01, YR00, Y02,26, R20. Stamped the sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa. Papers are BasicGrey Hopscotch and GKD Ivory CS. Used Nesties circle and scallop circle dies. Embossed the pattern mat with CB EF Floral Fantasy. Blue ribbon and Yellow Sprinkles from Annabelle Stamps finished the card. Thought this was a nice change from winter and holiday cards.
