Autumn Leaves

I was inspired to make this card when I read Vicki's Oldies but Goodies Challenge at Stamp TV to use 2 different designer patterns. My card was made with Ivory Card Base but it looks white in my photo. I think the colors look much richer in real life. I colored the stamp using colors inspired by the DP and even they do not look true in the photo.  Anyway I am going to enter the card in some fall challenges.

Challenges:
Stamp TV: STVOLDIES8-use 2 DP's
DYSU Challenge: Warm Colors
Allsorts Challenge: Autumn Leaves and Trees
Stamptacular Sunday: Photo Inspiration of Fall Leaves-see below
Cupcake Craft: Autumn
Kaboodle Doodles: Autumn Leaves Falling/Fall Colors

Supplies:
Stamps: GKD "A Year of Borders" and "A Year of Leaves" by Melanie
Ink: Memento Espresso Truffle and Morocco
Copics: YR18, YG 93,95, E34,39
Papers: GKD Ivory and Pumpkin CS, GKD Sun Kissed Autumn DP
Nesties Rectangle Die

Our trees have turned color in such a quick time....like overnight. And the mornings have been frosty.  Autumn is truly here.

Dots and Flowers and Ribbons

I am back with a second post to enter this card for a few challenges. I  followed the sketch shown below from Tuesday Morning Sketches and used  Gina K Designs stamp "Buds and Vases".  I stamped the image with Memento Espresso Truffle and colored with Copics G40, 82, YG893, and R81,83,85. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Pistachio....love the 12 new colors from Memento which I got last week. Love the names too.  I used Yellow CS for the card base, image and sentiment mat. Pattern paper mat was used from BasicGrey Sweet Threads pack. I embossed that in Cuttlebug Polka Dots EF. I used 3 scraps of ribbon layered and Pink Pearls (Colored with Copics) to complete the card.
Challenges to enter:
Stamp TV: RIBBONSCRAPS Release Challenge
Tuesday Morning Sketches: #157 Shown on right
Crafty Ribbons Challenge: Seeing spots and dots...dotted paper and embossed dots
PaperPlay Challenge: Layer it up. Layered papers and ribbons.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Quilting Joys for a Cowboy?

The challenge at Speedy Fox and Friends Week 104 was suggested by Linda....she wants us to use  stitching/real or faux.  I decided to use faux stitching by piercing holes and drawing in lines for the stitches.  I wanted the card to look "homespun" so I did stitches freehand and they do look homemade, but maybe too much so.  I used a bandanna stamp from Mark's Finest Papers "A Cowboy Thing" showing it as a quilt design...stamped in Memento Rhubarb Stalk Ink on ivory CS. Colored in some of the design with blue pencil.  Added a border of stitches stamped with GKD "Nana's Needlework" and also used a sentiment from this stamp set keeping withe quilt theme. Card base of SU Brilliant Blue shows off the images.

Have a great weekend!

Life Is Good, Dear!

Theresa Momber is the sponsor of Cas-ual Fridays  this week so I decided to use some of  her stamps in my entry for their sketch challenge.  My card is very clean and simple....When I showed this to my DH, he said that he was used to seeing much more on my cards. Not much here, dear, but some squares, deer, sentiment and score lines for texture.

Supplies:
Stamps: GKD "Life is Good" set by Theresa Momber
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Papers: GKD Kraft and Leather CS
Scor-pal
Nesties Square Die
