Santa's Return to the North Pole
Hello! Back to playing in the snow at the North Pole. Created this scene with Hero Arts October kit using a dog sled, polar bear, and Santa flying in his sled. The Mountain background was die cut and sponged with Distress Oxide ink and snow added with Marvy Snow Marker. The shiny night sky was made by accident when I spilled Metallic Blueberry Mist on my work desk. I quickly grabbed some white CS to absorb the spill and now have shiny CS for several skies, Foreground was made with torn Watercolor paper strips. Stamped the trees and sentiment and added the "Elf" house, sleigh, sled and bear which were die cut. Sign Post was fussy cut. All coloring was done with Copics. More snow added to trees with liquid pearls and to sky with Stardust Pen. I imagine Santa is returning to his workshop since he is flying in that direction and the girl in the dog sled is headed there to welcome him home.
Challenges:
Allsorts Challenge: Week 439 Christmas Creatures. My creatures include Polar Bear, Reindeer, and Dogs.
Sweet Stampin' Challenge: Theme is Bears. My Polar Bear is on the way to Santa's Workshop. He was stamped with Black ink, die cut, and covered in fur made with Snow Marker.
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: #357 Anything Christmas Goes
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra: October Anything Christmas Goes
Happy Little Stampers: October Anything Goes with Dies
Mod Squad Challenge: Add Snow. Used Snow Marker and Liquid Pearls for snow.
Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa

First Day of Spring
Hello! Today is the first day of spring!! I love gardening especially in the spring. This is a cute little dog on my card but I better not find him digging up my daffodils and tulips! But he seems to know that it is spring! I have used digital stamps by From the Heart "Digging Dog" set which is the stamp of the month. If you enter From the Heart stamp of the month's challenge, you will receive next month’s digi free. Check here for details. I used a sketch from Tuesday Morning Challenge for my design.
Other supplies: Pink CS, White CS, Ivory CS, Basic Grey Patterns from stash, Copics, Spellbinders Circle, Scallop Circle, Square, and Rectangle Dies, Silk Flower from Stash, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF, Darice Floral Frenzy EF, Computer for printing Image and Sentiment.

Challenges:From The Heart Challenge of the Month: Use Digging Dog Image

Dog Gone It ..I've Got Copics
Hurray! I've got my first Copics....have to practice and learn how to use but thought I'd give it a try in this card. The dog did not seem to mind being a guinea pig. Inspired by a few challenges for this one:
Sentimental Sundays: Card for Men (plus a sentiment)
Cards For Men: Recipe for card-1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments
Is that 3 embellies or 3 types embellies?
Cupcake Craft Challenges: Catherine chose theme of Cats and DogsGoing Grey with Scrap Creations: Challenge is to use at least 3 embellishments, and of course Basic Grey paper. Again, is that 3 embellies or 3 types embellies?
Limelight Papercrafts: Use their sketch shown to the right and try to incorporate some RHINESTONES or GEMS!! I like the sketch from Limelight but rhinestones did not fit into my MAN card.
I printed the dog image and yes, I colored it with COPICS!
I cut the image out with a circle die and edged with distress ink. I printed the sentiment on the computer using a digital sentiment from Raindrops Echo Designs, a freebie last week on Sentimental Sunday. I used 3 papers from Basic Grey for the layout- a stripe, a print, and a distressed solid. Played it safe and used 3 different types of embellishments. Added a bone ribbon and 3 brads. For the 3rd embellishment, I made my own bone cutting it out of brown CS and covering it with Matte Accents. Attached with pop up dots. Isn' t this a dog gone cute card!!
Also going to enter into:
Stamp TV Color Challenge: Carla's challenge is to use aqua and red and if you need to add a little bit of an accent color or a neutral, go for it. This card may be stretching it for this challenge but colors are mostly red with aqua and rest are all neutral colors???
Speedy Cat's Friends Challenge: Claudine's challenge is to make a masculine card.
Speedy Cat's Friends Challenge: Claudine's challenge is to make a masculine card.
Digital Image: Digital Doodle Shop Ragga Mutts "Stanley"
Digital Sentiment: Raindrop Echo Designs
Papers: Basic Grey "Max & Whiskers"
Copics: E31, 39, 49, 55, 59, B01, R29, C3
Black Jelli Pen for Highlights
Basic Grey Brads
My DH helped with the choice of papers and the choice of colors for the dog. He even searched out some photos of hounds for reference. I have never been around dogs that much but he had dogs as pets and even used to be in the dog food business . Let me know how you like my doggie.
Thanks, Theresa
