O Christmas Tree

Hello!  My card today features a Christmas Tree that was embossed with a Darice EF on white card stock.  I colored and inked the raised areas with Copics  and attached a sentiment from leftovers from a card kit.  I inked the edges of the panel with a Gold Metallic marker before attaching to a red card base.  Simple and easy.  Another one for my Christmas Card stash.  

 The photo is a bit distorted but my card is nice and straight.

A Harvest of Pumpkins

Hello! The weather report online calls today Haze and that it is....the sky is gray and hazy.  I guess you might say the scene on this card is haze since I used a card stock for the base that seems to be a haze color.  I was trying to use a neutral color and that is what I pulled from my paper stash instead of a blue color.  This card was inspired by the challenge at Double D to create a Neutral Fall theme card inspired by their Mood Board. I took inspiration from the Truck design loaded with pumpkins shown on the pillow. I also pulled colors for the embossed  tree and used woodgrain pattern from the board. I die cut the truck with Cheapo dies from Ivory, Black, and Metallic Silver card stock scraps.  Used a piece of clear acrylic for the window. I filled the truck with Pumpkins that I fussy cut from a scrap of Patterned Paper (shown in photo).  I embossed the texture beige card base with Leafy Tree embossing folder from Darice and inked the raised areas with Distress Oxide inks. Love the texture of the tree that showed up with inking. I created a road for the truck with a scrap of woodgrain paper and stamped a sentiment from my stash with a Distress ink.  Fun card...love how it evolved.

Note: Haze often occurs when dust and smoke particles accumulate in relatively dry air. When weather conditions block the dispersal of smoke and other pollutants they concentrate and form a usually low-hanging shroud that impairs visibility.

Lot of White for Christmas

Hello! July is a good time to begin Christmas cards and I have a quick one made with 2 stamps from Hero Arts kit from October 2017. I used Memento inks Cottage Ivy and Lady Bug to stamp the tree and sentiment on heavy white cardstock.  Colored in the tree with markers and Gold Copics.  Added some sparkle, jewels and sequins for ornaments to finish.  Easy peasy!

Simple Christmas Tree

 Welcome!  Today my card features a tree stamp by Penny Black from Wonder Collection (a 2014 freebie).  I love the simple design of this tree that I stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and added the sentiment(same set) with red ink. Then added a gold metal star brad.  I trimmed the panel and layered on a Die Cut Rectangle from Red CS and then a Striped Patterned Paper(DCWV Christmas Basics) and a White card base.

Christmas Lanterns

  

Hello!  Today I am sharing some paper lanterns that I made with my Cameo. The Christmas Tree design was made with Green CS and Red Vellum.  After cutting the design, I used my Scor-pal to score fold lines and assemble.  I like to remove the dotted lines (fold lines) on the Silhouette design before cutting to have smooth edges on the fold and therefore I use the Scor-pal.  I then add  I then add a LED tea light  and enjoy.   Another Lantern that I made was a Snowflake design using Blue CS and Blue Vellum.

Red, White + Pop of Green

Hello!  I have been playing with the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and used it almost verbatim. I used Hero Arts stamps and dies  for the focus area and Gina K stamps and dies for the snowflakes. The red background layer was embossed with Crafter's Companion Nordic EF (design of snowflakes and reindeer). I inked the edge with white and layered on the ovals, die cuts, added white enamel dots and red nail heads.  Used Green card base to finish.

Tree of Scraps

Second Post

Welcome!  Playing again with scraps of Pattern Papers.  This time I created a tree of various sizes of triangles.  I arranged the papers on a White CS embossed with a Darice EF placed on a mat of Red CS and a White Card Base.  Finished with a star die cut from another scrap using Hero Arts die and a Hero Arts sentiment stamped in SU Ruby Red ink.

Origami Christmas Tree

Welcome!  I am always looking for ways to use scraps of pattern papers as I do save them all.

I recently came across a video showing how to make an Origami Tree using 4 squares of paper measuring  3 X 3, 2-1/2 X 2-1/2, 2 X 2, and 1-1/2 X 1-1/2.  Go here to see all the directions by penquinstamper.

I just had to try the Tree and added my own touch with an embossed background using a Darice EF on White CS with a Red CS layer and White card base. The stamp and star die are Hero Arts.  I will be making several more of this design.

More of the Same

Hello!  This is similar to the card posted earlier here.   But for this one, I stamped the Repeat Impressions image on watercolor paper and then colored with Distress Oxide inks and a water brush.  I kept this design Clean and Simple with the focus on the fall tree.  The GKD sentiment was stamped with a Distress Oxide ink. Distressed the edge a bit with the same ink before attaching to a Pumpkin Spice card base.
The image takes on a different look on the watercolor paper versus the regular cardstock and I like the texture of this paper better.

Fall Is Here

Hello!  Today I have another fall theme card using a Repeat Impressions tree stamp that I stamped and water colored with Distress Oxide inks using a water brush on Neenah white CS.  I die cut with a stitched circle die from Lawn Fawn and placed on a panel of Pumpkin Spice CS and then an embossed Yellow card base.  The sentiment Many Thanks was stamped on Vellum, die cut, and attached with Vellum tape. My layout was inspired by the sketch challenge at Stamp Ink Paper Challenge.

Christmas Tree

Hello!  Yesterday was World Cardmaking Day and I spent part of the day making Christmas Cards that I will send to the Caring Hearts Card Drive.   For this card, I used stamps from Penny Black's Wonder Collection with Versamark ink and Gold EP.  I added a strip from a gold foiled pattern paper with snowflakes die cut from the paper and a gold embossed star.  Used Metallic Gold cardstock as base with layer of Pink CS.  Love the Gold and Pink Combo.

Tree of Angels

Hello!  I have 2 versions of the same card but used white background on one and red on another one.  I stamped the tree and sentiment from GKD Joyful Holiday set and heat embossed with Gold EP.  I decorated the tree with Gold Metallic Angels cut with Memory Box A Choir of Angels die from Gold Metallic CS.  I used white card base on each and used Pilot Gold Metallic marker to edge both images.

CAS Christmas

Hello!  I hope everyone in the U.S. had a great Thanksgiving celebration.  I know we enjoyed our Turkey dinner with all the trimmings.  It has been a few days since I posted and I would like to enter this CAS card in a few Christmas challenges.  I simply stamped and embossed a couple of stamps from GKD Joyful Holiday set using Gold EP on a white cardstock panel and inked the edges with Pilot Metallic Gold Marker.  This was placed on a Red CS mat and then a card base of White CS.  I decided to let the great tree design be the star of the card.

Plaid for Christmas

Hello! I am back with another Christmas card that I am entering into a few challenges.  I started with a Penny Black Tree stamp from the Wonder Collection.  I stamped it on white CS with Memento Cottage Ivy ink and added balls of Gold with Metallic Gold Gelly Roll pen. The GKD Peace & Joy Sentiment was stamped in SU Ruby Red. Following the Sketch from Tuesday Morning ,  I assembled the card with Plaid Pattern ( Digital paper printed) , White CS, and GKD All Spruced Up CS.  I finished up with GKD White Organza and Gold Ribbon and Bow.

Colors of the Forest

 

Hello!  I have another Christmas card that I made for the GKD release challenge at Stamp TV.  Gina asked that we use a wood grained background for a Christmas card.  I used White CS with Toffee Crunch and Rich Cocoa inks to create the wood grained panel.  I stamped the Tree and Sentiment from Gina K Designs Joyful Holiday with Versamark and embossed with Gold EP and then sponged the tree with SU Always Artichoke ink.   I assembled all on a Sage Green Card Base and added a snippet of GKD Organdy with gold ribbon.   I was thinking of the greens and browns of the forest when I created this card.

Leafy Tree with Lime

Hello!  I saw the challenge at Fusion (shown below)  and immediately thought of a Darice embossing folder called Leafy Tree and was inspired by the photo to create this card.   I simply embossed a Lime Green CS with the folder and inked the raised areas with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.   I stamped the GKD sentiment from A Year of Leaves with the same ink.  Finished with a yellow mat(used the yellow from the photo)  and black card base.   How simple but I think it fits the challenge.

This is a fun challenge and I am glad that it has returned after a summer break. Make sure to check out their new look as well as the challenge.
