Merry and Bright

Hello! I am back with  a very quick post to enter this card into challenges including Merry Monday Christmas Challenge 267 which is to create a card with the colors Green, Blue, White/Silver/Vellum.  I used them all just to have all bases covered.  I used stamps and die cuts from Gina K Merry and Bright Stamp TV kit.  The Blue and Green card stocks as well as Vellum and Silver Metallic paper were from my stash.  Used Versamark and Zing Silver EP.  I spritzed the blue card mat and the ornaments with Gold Shimmer mist for more shine but hard to see in the photo.  The sentiment was heat embossed with silver EP on clear Vellum and fussy cut and attached with Vellum Tape.
The hard part of this challenge was getting a good photo because  Metallic Papers are always hard for me to photograph.

Hot Air Balloon Flipped

Hello!  I am hopping from holiday to holiday!  I have a second post  today for a Christmas card that I made for Mod Squad Challenge Flip Flop to take a stamp you would normally use for one purpose, and use it for another.    I have used a Repeat Impressions Hot Air Balloon stamp and actually flipped it to become a Christmas ornament.  I stamped 3 times with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold EP and colored with markers.  I added Gold Metallic thread to hang the ornaments and finished with some metallic ribbon and a Sentiment from Creative Clear stamps.

Deck the Halls

Hello!! I'm baacck with another Christmas card....took a break from holiday cards but I had to make this for the Merry Monday challenge to use Red, Green, and White.  I chose a pattern paper from American Crafts Hollyday pad and stamped an Ornament and Sentiment  from Spellbinders set Heirloom Ornament with Versamark and heat embossed with Red EP. Used Red Card base and a mat of Green CS  and  Clear Star pen for sparkle.
Challenge:
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: Bonnie asked us to use Red, Green, and White.
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge: Anything Goes
Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge: Free is Good. Use something you got for free. The Spellbinders Stamp was a free gift in a magazine that my DH gave me for Christmas last year.
Addicted to Stamps and More: Challenge is Holiday

This card reminded me of a childhood memory of participating in a Spelling Bee Contest.  The word that eliminated me was ORNAMENT.  I think of that experience whenever I write the word.
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Blue and Silver Ornaments

Hello!  I was really inspired by the Merry Monday challenge this week.  I immediately began my card by gathering Silver Metallic CS, DCWV Blue Foil CS, and Glossy White CS.  I cut Pine branches with Impression Obsession die  and stamped the Ornaments with Spellbinders Heirloom set using Versamark and Silver EP. I fussy cut the Ornaments and arranged all the elements on a White Card Base using Blue Satin Ribbon to hang the ornaments attached with Pop-Up Dots.  My DH helped me decide the layout.  I love the shine and sparkle of my card.

Challenges:
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: Wendy asked us to create a Christmas card with ornaments in silver/gray & blue.
Creative Corner Challenge: It's beginning to look like Christmas.
Clear It Out Challenge: Theme-Anything Goes. Stash -Use 3 of the same thing. I used 3 ribbons, 3 ornaments.

Stay tune for another Blue and Silver card.

Another Quick Ornament

While I was making one ornament for TMITA, I decided to do another quick one using another ticket from Paper Cupcakes "Christmas Tickets".  This was very simple...I cut an ornament shape from gold metallic card stock with a Cuttlebug die. Wrapped it with an organdy ribbon-white with gold threads-and attached a copy of the Angel ticket that I printed and colored with gold marker and Copics. Attached a ribbon through the hole for hanging on the tree.
That's it for today. If you have time, make an ornament and be in the challenge at There's Magic in the Air but it ends this evening.

Ornament for TMITA's Challenge.

I have not had much time for card making this week but did want to make a quick and simple ornament for a challenge.  At There's Magic in the Air, Carol challenged us to make a Christmas ornament keepsake for someone special in your life. It can be as fancy or simple as you like, any size, any color. I made this one by using a circle of chipboard and embossing with gold embossing powder. Cut a snowflake with a Sizzix die and covered with glitter. Printed a ticket from "Christmas Tickets" digital from Paper Cupcakes that I won from TMITA Challenge. Assembled together with dimensionals and added gold ribbon for hanging. How appropriate for today since it is snowing.

Challenges:
City Crafter Challenge: Create any project with some kind of image of snow on it.
Digital Tuesday: Theme is Baby, it's cold outside.

Hope you keeping warm if there is snow where you are.
Thanks for stopping by! Theresa
