A Harvest of Pumpkins

Hello! The weather report online calls today Haze and that it is....the sky is gray and hazy.  I guess you might say the scene on this card is haze since I used a card stock for the base that seems to be a haze color.  I was trying to use a neutral color and that is what I pulled from my paper stash instead of a blue color.  This card was inspired by the challenge at Double D to create a Neutral Fall theme card inspired by their Mood Board. I took inspiration from the Truck design loaded with pumpkins shown on the pillow. I also pulled colors for the embossed  tree and used woodgrain pattern from the board. I die cut the truck with Cheapo dies from Ivory, Black, and Metallic Silver card stock scraps.  Used a piece of clear acrylic for the window. I filled the truck with Pumpkins that I fussy cut from a scrap of Patterned Paper (shown in photo).  I embossed the texture beige card base with Leafy Tree embossing folder from Darice and inked the raised areas with Distress Oxide inks. Love the texture of the tree that showed up with inking. I created a road for the truck with a scrap of woodgrain paper and stamped a sentiment from my stash with a Distress ink.  Fun card...love how it evolved.
Challenges:
Always Fun Challenges: Challenge #136 Pumpkins. The truck is full of pumpkins.
Tuesday Throwdown: Challenge #444 Theme is Fall/Holiday

Note: Haze often occurs when dust and smoke particles accumulate in relatively dry air. When weather conditions block the dispersal of smoke and other pollutants they concentrate and form a usually low-hanging shroud that impairs visibility.

Truckin' with Heart

Hello!  Playing with dies from Cheapo Dies to create a card with a lot of love! Die cut the truck from DCWV Foil CS,  tires from Black and Silver CS, hearts from Red CS and Metallic Silver CS, words from Red CS. Assembled the pieces on a panel of White CS that I edged with Silver Metallic Marker. Attached that to a panel of Patterned Paper and a card base of GKD Red CS.  Love the way this came together for a fun Valentine card.
I put this all together with GKD Connect Glue....this is the best glue ever. You must give it a try. I never liked to use glue before....too messy....but this works just great!  I was not paid for this endorsement.

Load of Pumpkins

Hello!  I have been playing with the Truck die from Cheapo Dies and a Leafy Tree embossing folder Darice to create this fall card.   I embossed the tree on a panel of white CS and then colored the raised areas with Distress Oxide inks using foam ink pods( see pic below). Also embossed a gravel road on the panel and colored with Copics.  Die cut the Truck from Grey Blue CS and scraps. Stamped Pumpkins with 3 different stamps (GKD, SU, and Hero Arts ) on Orange CS with Memento Potter's Clay ink and fussy cut.  Filled the truck with pumpkins and popped up on the card background.  One pumpkin rolled out and landed by the tree.  Decided the truck was from a farm called "Life is Good" (GKD Stamp) and stamped that on the door. Also a Black bird landed in the tree above the truck (Stamp from Inkadinkado).  Used a Pumpkin Spice CS for the card base.

Truckin' Along

Hello!  Playing today with a new truck die from Cheapo Dies....cut the truck from red, black and silver CS.  Used a Hero Arts silhouette die cut for the face in the window and  I added on some details.  The pumpkins were stamped with an old SU stamp, colored with Copics and fussy cut for the back of the truck.  They are large enough to win a prize at the county fair....maybe that is the truck's destination?
I  created the background with Distress Oxide Inks Peeled Paint, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Memento Summer Sky ink.  Added some trees in the background and sentiment using Gina K stamps. The truck was popped up with some craft foam. Card base is GKD Tomato Soup CS.

Another Load Of Pumpkins

Hello!   You might recognize the truck on my card.....I used it on another card here earlier.  Since I had this old stamp out, I thought I'd use the entire image on a fall card.  I inked it with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on a white CS and colored with Copics this time.  Sponged the sky with Memento Summer Sky ink. Stamped the Power Poppy sentiment with the brown ink.  Finished with a striped patterned paper remnant laying on my desk and a coordinating card base.

Harvest of Pumpkins

Welcome to my studio!  I was inspired to create this card by the Photo Challenge Week #459 at Just Us Girls I loved the fall trees, colors and the old truck in the photo.  I knew I had an old truck stamp but it took me a while to find it.  I had created the fall scene before I remembered where it was so I had to invent a way of including the truck.  But back to the beginning, I stamped a Repeat Impression stamp Covered Bridge with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on heavyweight white card stock and colored with an number of Distress Oxide Inks....actually used a dozen of them but too lazy to list.  Also used some pencils in some areas.  I might should have used watercolor paper but I was happy with the results on this paper. By the time I finished this scene, I found the old truck stamp in  my Mark's Finest Paper stamps.  I stamped it in the same ink and colored with Distress Oxide Inks and some pencils.  I drew some pumpkins in the back of the red truck and added a driver into the cab. I fussy cut the truck and attached it with foam tape as if he is driving down the dirt road and off the edge of the scene.  To finish, I added an orange mat and a textured rust color card base.  Stamped a Power Poppy sentiment Happy Harvest since there was an abundant harvest of pumpkins in the truck.
Had fun combing the stamps to create this scene.
Other Challenges:
The House That Stamps Built: Anything Goes Challenge - S2618. Used Repeat Impressions Covered Bridge

Classic and Masculine

Welcome!  I recently won some digital images from MHK Designs and just had to use this vintage truck on a card.  I printed the truck and 2 of the sentiments from Various Vehicles set on heavy White CS.  I printed one of the sentiments in red to add a bit of color.  Added black brads to the tires and some glossy accents to the windows.  Finished with some score lines at the bottom edge to add more texture.  Quick and easy one layer card and a very masculine birthday card for my stash.
