Cards That I Made

Hello! Hope everyone is healthy and coping with all that is going on in this troubled world.  I have been spending a lot of time in the studio but not posting much.  I have several cards to share.  I will begin with a card that was inspired by St. Patrick's Day, a truck die, and shamrocks.  It began with a leftover from making a background with acrylic paints that reminded me of a sunny day.  I die cut the truck with Cheapo Dies in green and silver card stocks and filled the bed with shamrocks cut with the cameo and from an assortment of metallic confetti. I assembled that on the background. I added the word Lucky cut with Cameo(Left from another project). I stamped the sentiment from Repeat Impressions with black ink.  I tore the edges of the image and attached to a green card base.
Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday: Challenge # 626 Just for Fun.  Made this card just for fun.
Die Cut Divas: Challenge is anything goes with a die cut.

Another card that I made but not posted is shown above.  I used this month's free digital image from Beccy's Place to create the design with a digital check paper. I printed the color image of the pie but changed colors a bit before printing.  I stamped the sentiment from stash in black on white cs and matted it on black cs. Used a white layer and red card base to finish.
Challenges:
Artsystamper Digitals Challenge: #12  Lots of layers.
Beccy's Place: March Challenge Create a card using a Beccy's Place stamp. The optional element is food.

Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa

A Harvest of Pumpkins

Hello! The weather report online calls today Haze and that it is....the sky is gray and hazy.  I guess you might say the scene on this card is haze since I used a card stock for the base that seems to be a haze color.  I was trying to use a neutral color and that is what I pulled from my paper stash instead of a blue color.  This card was inspired by the challenge at Double D to create a Neutral Fall theme card inspired by their Mood Board. I took inspiration from the Truck design loaded with pumpkins shown on the pillow. I also pulled colors for the embossed  tree and used woodgrain pattern from the board. I die cut the truck with Cheapo dies from Ivory, Black, and Metallic Silver card stock scraps.  Used a piece of clear acrylic for the window. I filled the truck with Pumpkins that I fussy cut from a scrap of Patterned Paper (shown in photo).  I embossed the texture beige card base with Leafy Tree embossing folder from Darice and inked the raised areas with Distress Oxide inks. Love the texture of the tree that showed up with inking. I created a road for the truck with a scrap of woodgrain paper and stamped a sentiment from my stash with a Distress ink.  Fun card...love how it evolved.
Challenges:
Always Fun Challenges: Challenge #136 Pumpkins. The truck is full of pumpkins.
Tuesday Throwdown: Challenge #444 Theme is Fall/Holiday
Color Throwdown: Challenge cttd 568 Orange, Brown, Moss Green(on leaves), Cream

Double D Challenges: Neutral Fall Theme

Note: Haze often occurs when dust and smoke particles accumulate in relatively dry air. When weather conditions block the dispersal of smoke and other pollutants they concentrate and form a usually low-hanging shroud that impairs visibility.

Truckin' with Heart

Hello!  Playing with dies from Cheapo Dies to create a card with a lot of love! Die cut the truck from DCWV Foil CS,  tires from Black and Silver CS, hearts from Red CS and Metallic Silver CS, words from Red CS. Assembled the pieces on a panel of White CS that I edged with Silver Metallic Marker. Attached that to a panel of Patterned Paper and a card base of GKD Red CS.  Love the way this came together for a fun Valentine card.
I put this all together with GKD Connect Glue....this is the best glue ever. You must give it a try. I never liked to use glue before....too messy....but this works just great!  I was not paid for this endorsement.

Truckin' Along

Hello!  Playing today with a new truck die from Cheapo Dies....cut the truck from red, black and silver CS.  Used a Hero Arts silhouette die cut for the face in the window and  I added on some details.  The pumpkins were stamped with an old SU stamp, colored with Copics and fussy cut for the back of the truck.  They are large enough to win a prize at the county fair....maybe that is the truck's destination?
I  created the background with Distress Oxide Inks Peeled Paint, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Memento Summer Sky ink.  Added some trees in the background and sentiment using Gina K stamps. The truck was popped up with some craft foam. Card base is GKD Tomato Soup CS.

Dies R Us Challenge: #106 Anything goes using dies by companies carried at the DRU store. My die was purchased from DRU.
Double D Challenge: Scare'n Up Some Pumpkins
