Hello! Just playing with Kraft CS and Distress Oxide Inks. Stamped a Peony stamp from Power Poppy Peony Muse set with Picked Raspberry ink on Kraft CS and colored with the same ink and a watercolor brush. Used Lucky Clover ink in the same way for the stem and petals. I was not happy with the results so inked all again and embossed with Clear EP. Was using stamps on the Misti so I was able to line up the stamping again. Used pencils to color in some details. Placed the image on a Bright Pink CS and then a card base of the Kraft CS. Finished with die cut words to make it a Birthday card.

CAS Prayers
Hello! I am challenging myself to make cards using up some of the un-used items collecting on my worktable....for example items that I die cut, stamped, or colored and never made into a finished card, etc. On this card, I used an image that I stamped on Kraft CS with Versamark and embossed with gold EP and then colored with pencils. I set it aside in my unfinished box to complete later. That was several weeks, months ago. The Chinese Lantern image was from Power Poppy Sunny Harvest set.
Today, I pulled out the forgotten panel and added an Sentiment from Power Poppy Peony Muse set....stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold EP... to make a sympathy card. I highlighted the sentiment with a red pencil. I placed this on a Red CS mat and a Gold Metallic card base. I thought it ended up as a elegant card and was perfect to let someone know that I cared.

Summer Fun
Welcome! Today I am playing with the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and a summer theme since we are now in to the first days of summer. I stamped the beach scene with Repeat Impressions stamp with Memento Toffee Crunch ink on white CS and colored with Copics. I layered the scene that I cut with an oval die on to a blue mat cut with a fancy oval die (unknown source) layered with some ribbon from my stash. Used a Blue Card Base and background of Kraft CS to complete card. Used a simple sentiment of Enjoy (Power Poppy) in brown ink. This card could serve as a Birthday card or to wish someone a Happy Summer or for other occasions.

Bearing Flowers
Hello! This sweet card uses a Penny Johnson stamp Bear Flowers. I stamped the image on Kraft CS with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with pencils and odorless mineral spirits(OMS). I added a GKD sentiment using the same ink. I simply framed with a Pink CS mat and then placed on a textured Green card base. I found this forgotten unused stamp in my studio when searching for something else. This will be another card for my Mother who is 97 years young Friday.

Thank You with Cut Outs
Welcome! Today I made a card for the Mix It Up Monday Challenge from Cat at Stamp TV. Her Theme is Where's the Colors? and we are to use Black, White, and Kraft. I am using some elements that I won in a Grab Bag from Gina K Designs: Die Cuts - An Oval Design and a Border Design cut out of Black CS, an Oval from White CS and a GKD stamp from Thankful Ovals set. This was a great grab bag!
I stamped the Thank You on the white oval cut out with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and layered it on the Black Oval cut out and attached to a Card base of Kraft CS that I embossed with Cuttlebug EF Wicker Weave picking up the pattern on the stamp. I finished by adding the Border cut out at the bottom edge. Easy peasy!

Faux Detail Letterpress
Welcome! This card was inspired by a video by Jennifer McGuire showing how to do Faux Detail Letterpress technique. I used a Cheery Lynn Die Kiwi Doily that I inked with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and then embossed on Kraft CS. I cut out the center of the design with Lawn Fawn Stitched circle die and layered on a Red Scalloped Circle cut with Spellbinders Die. I attached this to a Card base of the Kraft CS that I embossed with Cuttlebug EF Gingham and stamped with GKD sentiment from Nana's Needlework set with the red ink. I hope you can see all the details on the center.

Birthday Tulips
Hello! Today I have a card for the Color Challenge at The House That Stamps Built. We are to use Kraft, Red, and Neutrals. I stamped Repeat Impressions Bouquet of Tulips with Memento Tuxedo Black directly on Kraft CS and colored with Copics and a White pencil. I tried to give texture to the vase. I cut the image with an Oval Die and layered on a scalloped oval from Red CS. I adhered this with foam dots to a GKD pattern paper of neutrals and then to a Card base of Kraft CS. I finished with Happy Birthday sentiment cut with Cheery Lynn Dies from Red CS.

Oh, My Deer
Hello! This is a card that I began a few weeks ago but had set aside to finish. When I saw the current challenge from City Crafter Challenge Blog I pulled the project out to complete. The Kraft CS was cut on the Cameo using a Silhouette cut file for Birch Trees and I layered it on a White Card Base. I cut the Father and Baby Deer from Dark Brown CS with a cut file by Emily Dyer(Silhouette). I decided to make this a Holiday card so I added Happy Holidays cut in Red with Cheery Lynn Dies that I recently won.

Get Ahead, Get a Hat!
Hello! I am here today with a quick post....have to get some leaves raked and get ready for Trick or Treaters this afternoon. I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to create this Christmas Card using a snowman stamp and sentiment from Heartfelt Creations. I stamped the snowman head with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white CS and colored with Copics R59,BG72,75,B0000, N4,7 and an orange marker. Added some Clear star for shine on cheeks. Fussy cut the image and placed on a Kraft oval embossed with Darice Snowflakes and sponged with teal. Following the sketch, I used pattern papers from Fancy Pants Timbergrove pad to assemble card. Used Cuttlebug EF Herringbone to emboss one of the patterns. I added the sentiment stamped on Kraft label die cut stamped in Memento Teal Zeal and a snowflake cut with a Sizzix die and covered with Stickles Frosted Lace.
