Simply Hello

Hello!  Today I have a CAS card that features a Rose, a digital image from Power Poppy, that I printed on white card stock and colored with Copics. Simply stamped the word Hello with Black ink. Made this and 3 other note cards shown below in 3.5" x 5" size.  Colored 2 with copics, one with pencils, and water colored one with DOI.  Might use the set for a gift.

A Gift of a Rose

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I made with a free digital image of a Rose that I recently downloaded from Power Poppy.  I printed the image on a GKD Heavyweight ivory cardstock and colored with Copics.  I trimmed the image with a Spellbinders die and attached to a card base of ivory that measures 3.5" by 5".  I chose that size because I have some ivory envelopes that will fit that size.  I had planned to make this a one layer notecard but the Copics bled through....hoping it would not bleed...guess only the Heavyweight white cardstock from GKD does not bleed. Finished with a Power Poppy stamp in Memento Tuxedo black.  This is a good size for a gift or simple notecard.

Birthday Roses

Welcome!  I have been playing with a stencil, a die, stamps,  Ombre colors, and water coloring to create this birthday card.  I made the Ombre background by inking DOI Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio with Gina K Stencil Rounded Swirl on white CS.  I stamped the Rose stamp from GKD Tropical Blooms with GKD Amalgam Black ink and water colored the image with a water brush using the same green inks and Picked Raspberry DOI. Used GKD die to cut the rose and attached using foam to pop up the image.  Stamped the GKD sentiment with the pink ink. Finished with a green card base.

Thank You with Roses

Hello!  It's been about 2 months since I've posted a card.  We have been away to warm Captiva Island, Florida and away from my studio and card making.  I am trying to get back my mojo by creating a floral card for some March challenges.

I stamped a Rose from Gina K Designs Rose Bouquet with GKD Black Amalgam ink on GKD white card stock and colored the image with Copics.  I attached this to a green card base and added corner die cuts cut with Spellbinders Regal Frame dies. Also used a sentiment die and stamped with a GKD stamp from Skeleton Leaves.  I adhered all the die cuts with GKD Connect glue which is the best glue ever!  Great for delicate pieces since you can control the amount of glue dispersed from the tube.

Rose with Scripty Stem

 

 

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I made just for  fun.  I had been wanting to use a scripty sentiment stamp as a stem for a flower since I saw someone do this on Stamp TV.  I think the card was made by Cindy Miller.  I made this an Anniversary card.

Supplies: Stamps-Gina K Designs Scripty Sayings 2, A Year of Flowers, Pressed Flowers. Inks-Memento Lady Bug and Love Letters, SU Always Artichoke. Papers-GKD Fresh Asparagus, White, gcd Studio Ambrosia Pad. Of course I found some challenges to enter.

Roses of Love

 

Hello!    I made this design using the Sketch from this month's  Challenge #14 at Outside the Box and used Memory Box's die English Rose Stem.  I used Red and Green CS, gcd Studio pattern paper from Ambrosia pad, watercolor paper for the sentiment, GKD sentiment from Birds and Blossoms, circle dies, and a Red Heart Brad.

Single Rose with Splatters

Hello! My card today is made with Gina K Design stamps from A Year of Flowers (rose), Pressed Flowers (rose), Say It with Flowers (sentiment) and a newer set Tiny Textures (splatters).  I just played with the splatters as a background behind the single rose after masking the flower. 
Supplies: GKD White and Fresh Asparagus CS, Scrap of Pink CS, SU Pink Passion, Petite Rose, Always Artichoke Inks, DI Tea Dye Ink, Spellbinders Regal Frame Dies,
Pink Satin Ribbon.

Country Rose of Summer

Welcome!  Today my card features Gina K Stamps from Old Country Roses and Tiny Textures.  I stamped the 3 step Rose design with SU Pixie Pink, Pink Passion, and Ruby Red on white CS.    I seldom use any SU inks ( and I have a bunch) but they were perfect for the rose. I then added the leaves from the same set and did the  3 step stamping with Memento New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves, and Olive Green inks.  I added some distressing using fun stamps from the Tiny Textures set with Distress Inks Tea Dye and Wild Honey.  I used GKD CS's for the base and mat.  To really dress up my card, I added Pink Satin Ribbon and some sequins from stash.  The sentiment that I chose from Country Roses is appropriate for many events or just for a card to send someone for the fun of it.

Black and White + Pop of Color

Hello!  This card is for a few challenges including Mix It Up Monday challenge at Stamp TV.
Stamps are from GKD A Year Of Flowers and Pressed Flowers by Melanie.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black and Lady Bug inks with White CS and a Strip of Black CS and a red Satin ribbon.  Nesties Circle dies used for the rose.  Assembled the design using a Sketch design from Stamp ink Paper challenge.  Masking was used in the stamping of the leaves.

For You

Hello!  My card today is for Kendra's  Mix Up Monday Challenge at Stamp TV to use the color  Kraft.   I embossed a layer of Kraft CS with Cuttlebug EF Gingham and attached to a Black card base.  To this I added some pre-cut die shapes that I received in a gift pack from Gina K Designs.  That Included the black border, black scallop oval and the white oval.  I stamped the rose image and sentiment using GKD A Year for Flowers 2 set with Memento inks.  A simple designs and easy to complete.

Spring Colors and Flowers

Hello!  I was inspired to use lovely pinks, yellows, and greens on this card that I made for the Fusion Challenge celebrating their 2nd Anniversary.  I combined the colors, flowers, and chevron design with the sketch shown in the graphic below.  I inked the raised areas of the embossing by sponging.
Supplies: Gina K Stamp from A Year of Flowers 2 and Fanciful Tags, Memento Rose Bud, Cottage Ivy inks, SU Summer Sun Ink, Pencils and OMS, Pink and White CS, EF Stylized Flowers and Chevron, Oval and Circle Nesties.

Vintage Rose

Welcome!  I was most fortunate to have won a prize from The Shabby Tea Room this week.  I received digital files from Crafty Secrets which I was able to select.  I had never been to this online shop but was very happy with the selection that I found of vintage images, papers and more.
I could not wait to make a card with one of the files and quickly printed out the Rose-Script-Frame image on cardstock.  This rose colored beautifully with Copics and I only used 4 markers R22, R24, G21, and Y28.  It looks like I used many colors to get that look of depth.  I sponged the background with Distress Ink Antique Linen.  I used an Ivory CS for the base. The image alone makes one lovely card. I decided not to add a sentiment or embellishments on this card.
