TwoFer Challenge

Hello!  I have been playing with the Twofer Card Challenge #7 - we are to make 2 different designs for 2 different occasions with the same stamps and/or dies.  This month theme is Beverage.  I chose to use a Wine Bottle stamp from Repeat Impressions for my 2 cards.  For the first card I stamped the Bottle on Vellum with Versamark and heat embossed with Black EP.  I also stamped the ship (Repeat Impressions) in the bottle and birthday sentiment (Repeat Impressions) in the same way on the Vellum. Colored the ship with colored pencils.  Placed the panel of vellum in a window cut from a panel of Patterned Paper from Paper House pad. Added a Cork (cut from cork) stamped with Repeat Impressions cork stamp.  Guess I should have stuck the cork into the bottle but thought of that too late.  Used  Dark Red CS card base.
The second card was made for an Anniversary card.   I stamped the Bottle with a Wine Label as well as 2 Wine Glasses on Vellum with Versamark and heat embossed with Clear EP.  I fussy cut the items and colored on the back with pencils.  This time I corked the bottle.  I attached the Bottle and Glasses with Vellum tape to a GKD Fresh Asparagus CS and then to a Pattern Paper from the Paper House pad At The Vineyard.  Stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Red EP on Green CS and edged with the Red mat.  Used a white card base.   All stamps are from Repeat Impressions except for the Anniversary stamp from my stamp stash.
I really enjoy the fun Twofer challenges.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!
Welcome to my blog!  I am celebrating the New Year with a sparkly card that I made with some beautiful shiny paper that was in a Hero Arts kit.  I thought it was perfect teamed with some Champagne in glasses stamped with Repeat Impressions Wine Series stamps.  I created the glasses with Silver Vellum, Versamark ink, and Silver EP and then fussy cut.  Added some bubbles with  Stardust pen.  Added a layer of Silver Mirror CS and Black card base.  I hope you see all the texture and shine in the photo.  The New Year stamp is an old one from my stash.

Dad's Day

Hello! I'm back with a Father's Day card for my DH-the Dad of my Teddy Bears.  He loves his bears and his red wine....so I kind of combined the two.  Used a precut step card with a wine bottle stamp (won in 2014) from Repeat Impressions and other stamps from PSX and SU.  Heat embossed "Dad" on velum using Black EP  and used Memento Black ink for the rest of the stamping. Finished with Chevron Stripe Washi tape and some strips from Cork.
Another look:

Wine for your Birthday or Whine?

Hello!  I have a card to post that was very quick and easy to make.  I made use of some patterned paper by Paper House from  At The Vineyard paper pad.  I trimmed the paper and edged with a Pilot Metallic Gold Marker (easy way to give a layered look without the weight) and attached to a Wine colored card base. I stamped a Repeat Impressions sentiment from the Wine Time Series with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold EP.  How easy can that be?
My DH was amused by this card.  Made him laugh out loud.

Ship In A Bottle

Hello!  I found this At The Vineyard Paper House pattern paper with wine corks in my stash and thought it would be perfect with my stamping of a Ship in a Bottle on Vellum Paper that I did with Repeat Impressions Wine Time set.  I did the stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then heat embossed with Clear EP.  I did a bit of coloring on the ship with White, Blue, and Tan Pencils on the backside of the Vellum.  I cut a rectangle from the Pattern Paper, attached the image on vellum behind the opening and then replaced the rectangle behind the image to create a frame around the bottle. I used a Dark Brown CS for the base.  For fun, I stamped the larger Cork Stamp on cork and trimmed and then attached to the card.  I like the masculine look of this card.  I first stamped this design on white CS but the vellum show the bottle so much better.

Beautiful Day at Sunset

Hello!  This is a second card that I made for  WHAT IF? Wednesday M2015 challenge at The House That Stamps Built.. We are to create a project using the photo shown on the right.  I again was inspired to use one of my photographs of the sunset in Florida.   As I mentioned earlier,  I will probably do a series of cards for gift sets using the photos that we took last February.  I printed the photo of the sunset made at Ding Darling Wildlife Reserve on a watercolor paper and attached to a Card Base of Yellow CS and stamped the Repeat Impressions with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Inspired by the challenge photo, I added a Wine Glass (Repeat Impressions Wine Time Series) stamped on Vellum with Versamark and embossed with Black EP.  The glass was fussy cut and glued to card.

Wine Down at Sunset

Hello!  This week, the WHAT IF? Wednesday M2015 challenge at The House That Stamps Built is a photo inspiration challenge. We are to create a project using the photo shown on the right.  I immediately thought to use some of my photographs of the sunset on Captiva Island.   I enjoy photography and often use photos that my DH or  I have shot on cards.  I will probably do a series of cards for gift sets using the photos that we took last February.
I cropped the sunset image and printed on a watercolor paper. I then edged it with Pilot Gold Metallic maker and  matted on Blue CS and attached to a Card Base of Yellow.  The wine glasses were stamped with Repeat Impressions stamps from the Wine Time Series on Vellum with Versamark and heat embossed with Black EP.  I fussy cut the glasses and added to the card.  The sentiment from the same series was heat embossed with Gold EP.
I also embossed the lower part of the card with Cuttlebug EF Border and applied some glitter with Clear Star Pen which you may not see that well but it looks good real life.

Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa

Toasting Your Birthday

I have another card for the WIW Color Challenge at The House That Stamps Built using gray, red and orange.  I used Repeat Impressions stamps for the  wine glasses and vertical sentiment.
Other supplies: Gray and Orange CS's, Cuttlebug EF Happy Birthday, SU Ruby Red Ink, Red Copic.
This color challenge was quite the challenge for me. I may redo the wine glasses using Vellum for the glasses but for now I am leaving it with the orange glasses.

Cheers for the New Year

Hello! It is hard to believe 2014 has almost ended.  This year has passed so quickly and has been a year filled with card making.  Today's card was inspired by pattern paper from Paper House's At The Vineyard Pad that  I received at Christmas.  I did not want to hide the beautiful scene on the paper so I stamped on two squares of Vellum using Repeat Impressions Wine Series stamps with Versamark and embossed with Pearl Gold EP. Colored wine with Copic Marker on the back of the vellum.  I framed each with die cuts using Nesties Scalloped Square dies and attached these over the scene.  Finished with some score lines inked with Memento Rich Cocoa and a stamped wine cork using another stamp from the same set to complete the design of the sketch .

It's Always 5 O'clock Somewhere

Hello!  Today I am playing with a sketch challenge from The House That Stamps Built and the  Repeat Impressions Wine Series Stamps.  I stamped the Grapes and Sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. These were stamped on squares of white with 2 corners rounded with a punch. After arranging the squares on the pattern paper background from MME Lost and Found pad, I added 2 Wine Corks to the other  2 squares and added a strip of pattern paper ( the reverse side of the dotted paper).  My Wine Glasses were stamped and colored on Shrinky Dink paper ...the original size of the glasses was 2" high and shrunk to about 3/4" high.  I thought they were the perfect embellishment to finish the sketch.

Old Friends Are the Best

Today I am sharing a card that I made for the Repeat Impressions Sketch #0514 Challenge at The House That Stamps Built shown on the right.  I did  give the sketch a turn to the right for my use.  I love the Repeat Impressions Wine Series stamps which I have used for all the stamping.  The Wine Glasses were inked with Memento Tuxedo Black on to a rectangle of Ivory CS and colored with Copics R46 and R59 and shaded with a bit  of gray. I edged this with a Gold Metallic marker. To assemble the card, a Gold textured card base card was layered with a panel of pattern paper from Teresa Collins World Traveler pad. The sentiment was done with Versamark and Black EP on a Gold Metallic CS scrap and layered on a strip of Wine CS.  For embellishments I stamped the grape cluster and colored with the same Red Copics and Y28 and stamped the cork on a scrap of actual cork paper. These were fussy cut and attached.   I am pleased with the richness of this design.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Have a Glass Of Wine?

Welcome! I hope you have time for a glass of wine.  I am using Repeat Impressions stamps from their Wine Series set.  I stamped the bottle, glasses, and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a one layer card of White CS. I colored the images with assorted pencils and markers and added some shadows with a gray pencil. I tried to make the label on the bottle look very vintage..... the older the wine, the better it is.  I scored 3 lines at the lower edge to finish and anchor the card.

Sending Get Better Wishes

Hello to all who drop by!  My card today was made with Repeat Impressions Wine Time Series stamps that I recently won.   I just had to make this card for my friend, Rita, who is recovering from surgery.   I stamped the wine bottle and glasses with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored with Copics R59, Y28, G85.  I then added Glossy Accents to the images.  I love the texture and dimension that it gave.   I followed the sketch from What If? Wednesday Challenge shown on the right..  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set  to finish the layout.  For the finishing embellishments,  I stamped the Cork stamp on scraps of cork (leftover from making coasters) , cut them out and attached with Glossy Accents. I used Dark Red CS for the base and mats and a striped paper from MME's Quilting Bee embossed with Cuttlebug EF  Bubbles for the background.  When I first colored the wine, it appeared to be a Merlot.  But when I added the Glossy Accents it turned into a Cabernet.

Challenges:
What If? Wednesday: Sketch #S314
Addicted to Stamps Challenge: #111 ANYTHING GOES with the optional twist of Get Well / Thinking of You.
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says use a stamp.
City Crafter Challenge:  I see clearly. Use acetate, vellum, glossy accents, translucent embossing paste, clear plastic etc.  I used the Glossy Accents..
NBUS Challenge 2: Darnell's "never-before-used schtuff." challenge is to use your virginal NBUS on a new creation, simple as that.  I have used new stamps from Repeat Impressions and cork never used on a card before.

 Wishing Rita a speedy recovery!
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa
