TwoFer Challenge

Hello!  I have been playing with the Twofer Card Challenge #7 - we are to make 2 different designs for 2 different occasions with the same stamps and/or dies.  This month theme is Beverage.  I chose to use a Wine Bottle stamp from Repeat Impressions for my 2 cards.  For the first card I stamped the Bottle on Vellum with Versamark and heat embossed with Black EP.  I also stamped the ship (Repeat Impressions) in the bottle and birthday sentiment (Repeat Impressions) in the same way on the Vellum. Colored the ship with colored pencils.  Placed the panel of vellum in a window cut from a panel of Patterned Paper from Paper House pad. Added a Cork (cut from cork) stamped with Repeat Impressions cork stamp.  Guess I should have stuck the cork into the bottle but thought of that too late.  Used  Dark Red CS card base.

The second card was made for an Anniversary card.   I stamped the Bottle with a Wine Label as well as 2 Wine Glasses on Vellum with Versamark and heat embossed with Clear EP.  I fussy cut the items and colored on the back with pencils.  This time I corked the bottle.  I attached the Bottle and Glasses with Vellum tape to a GKD Fresh Asparagus CS and then to a Pattern Paper from the Paper House pad At The Vineyard.  Stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Red EP on Green CS and edged with the Red mat.  Used a white card base.   All stamps are from Repeat Impressions except for the Anniversary stamp from my stamp stash.
I really enjoy the fun Twofer challenges.

Shall We Dance?

Welcome!  Some stamps just make me smile, like this one - dancing bears from Lili of The Valley called Shall We Dance which I have had over 5 years.   I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on GKD white CS and colored with copics.  I had fun accessorizing their fancy outfits with Black Gemstones(cufflinks and buttons)  and Pearls (necklace and shoes).  I did a color wash in the background with Distress Oxide Ink and a water brush.  After trimming the image, I adhered it to a mat of dark gray CS and then to a base card of shimmering  pink pearl CS. The GKD sentiment was stamped with black ink and embossed with clear EP.  I will stash this card away for our anniversary in October.

ModSquad Challenge: Wedding Bears in June-The challenge this week is to make a Wedding or a LOVE themed card. Must use a critter somewhere on the card.

Rose with Scripty Stem

 

 

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I made just for  fun.  I had been wanting to use a scripty sentiment stamp as a stem for a flower since I saw someone do this on Stamp TV.  I think the card was made by Cindy Miller.  I made this an Anniversary card.

Supplies: Stamps-Gina K Designs Scripty Sayings 2, A Year of Flowers, Pressed Flowers. Inks-Memento Lady Bug and Love Letters, SU Always Artichoke. Papers-GKD Fresh Asparagus, White, gcd Studio Ambrosia Pad. Of course I found some challenges to enter.

Manly Anniversary

Hello!  This card was inspired by Pattern Papers from my stash which I came across when going through some items I had stored away.  The Chevron pattern is from a Bo Bunny gift bag pack purchased at a closeout sale and the vintage image is from Graphic 45 pad.  Not much work except to assemble the papers with a Brown CS base.  The sentiment stamp is from Repeat Impressions stamped with Memento Brown ink.  Used a Argyle EF to give texture to the Chevron Stripe paper.

The Day is the 30th

Hello!  My card today is an Anniversary Card that I made for friends but never shared on my blog.  It is a perfect card for some current challenges.  The background for the card is a pattern from My Mind's Eye Collectable Remarkable pad ( first time to use).  I used Repeat Impressions stamps from the Happy Set stamped on a die cut with Memento Tuxedo Black and heat embossed with clear EP.   I added the arrow pointing to the date of their anniversary.

One Layer Challenges

Hello! Back for a second post today.
  I recently purchased Hero Arts Cling Stamp Leafy Vines...just had to have.  I used the stamp to make a One Layer card for a couple of challenges.  I stamped the vine with Versamark Ink off the edge of a Green Card base and heat embossed with White EP.   Added a sentiment from Winnie & Walter set The Big, The Bold, and The Happy.  This was a very quick CAS card.

Happy Occasion

Hello again.   I am sharing an anniversary card that I made for a friend celebrating 50 years of marriage  this month.  My card is fairly simple but I hope it is elegant.  I printed the sentiment in gold on white CS using Photoshop and placed it in a frame cut with Nesties Scalloped Oval Dies.  This was attached with pop up dots to the Gold Metallic Cardstock card base that I embossed with Cuttlebug  EF Kassie's Brocade.   I cut the right edge with  Martha Stewart Border punch and added delicate pearls.   I added an Organza Ribbon with Gold Thread to the left side.  For the inside, I printed my personalized message in gold on Parchment Paper.

Wild Roses for an Anniversary

Second post today. I seem to be getting my rhythm back or is it mojo  making cards.  Making cards is a bit more challenging since I am away from my Studio and am working with limited supplies  but making do with what I have.  Today I am using Graphic  45 pattern paper for the card base.....seldom do that but weight of this paper is heavier than most PP. Using my paper trimmer, I cut a frame of green CS and attached to the base.  I used pop up dots to attach the image of wild roses that I stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa  ink on GKD Ivory CS and  colored with Copics G21, YG03, R01, R20, V000, V12, Y12.  I fussy cut the image ....if I were home I would have trimmed with my Cameo. The image and sentiment are Flourishes Stamps "Wild Roses" and "Taglines".  I so hate that the company Flourishes is for sale.....they create the most beautiful stamps but hopefully someone will buy and continue the company.

Inspired by my Husband

                            

 

 A few days ago, my husband gave me a beautiful Hallmark card for Sweetest Day.  When he selects a card he is always thinking if the card will give me ideas for my cardmaking. And his card (phhoto at end of post) inspired me to make this one  with butterfly dies and angel wing dies and heat embossing. I love the final results. I used a plum CS measuring 51/2 " X 11 3/4" to create the folded sides and used wing dies to cut into the folded edges so the wings extended beyond the folds. Then I attached Gold Metallic butterflies cut and embossed with dies to the extended wing cut outs . Stamped the sentiments with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold EP.   Finished the inside with stamped verses on gold parchment.

Happy Anniversary

Welcome to my studio.  My goal for this project was to make a simple and elegant Wedding Anniversary card to use for either a 25th or 50th anniversary. I chose to use metallic materials and can add numbers to personalize the anniversary when I use the card. I am making this to enter in Cheery Lynn Designs  challenge for Wedding/Anniversary.  I have used Cheery Lynn's Swedish Spring Oval Frame and Olive Branches Dies which I cut in Metallic Gold Paper to frame my sentiment embossed in gold on a pattern paper. These dies are so easy to use!

Let the Music Move You

Hello...I'm back! Been missing a few days ....busy doing some minor home improvements and getting ready for winter....raking, bagging leaves etc. I have not been making many cards but I have started making my gift calendars for Christmas.  I made this card for our Anniversary last month and never posted it so thought I'd share with you.  I used ivory CS that I embossed with a Cuttlebug EF and then distressed with Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink. Added some cut outs from Graphic 45 Curtain Call Designer paper. The row of rhinstones is recyled from a dress.
I am entering in a challenge at CRAFTS AND ME with the theme "Let the Music move you".

Young Love Grows With The Years

Here I am back for a second post and I am rushing to get this in for a couple of challenges closing very soon, but oops, missed one.  I am using Mo's Digi "Young Love" for her 100th challenge Let's celebrate. Just had to get a card in for this special challenge. To be short, I colored the image with Copics and made a frame of Silver and Blue CS using a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. Added some pattern paper as background and finished with brads with stones and rhinestones. Used a sentiment to make this an anniversary card.  ( The challenge that I was too late for was one to use silver).

Anniversary Card

Taking time out from gardening and working outside to enter some some challenges this morning. At Speedy the Cat's Friends this week, Colleen challenges us to use Ivory and Lace on our cards.  I used a sentiment stamp from Mark's Finest Paper's "Happy Pansies" and highlighted that with a GKD"s "Lovely Labels" Stamp and Basic Grey DP from Cappella Paper Pack and  Ivory CS mat all cut with Spellbinders Labels 4 dies.  I used Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and colored some of the label design with Copics B000 and added some highlights with Sakura Clear Star pen. My lace was layered over GKD Ivory CS and and then layered with Ivory Satin ribbon.
Challenges:
Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge: Ivory and lace used to create anniversary card.
BasicGrey Challenge: Theme is shabby chic....think lace is chic with the ivory combo...hope it shabby enough? Used BasicGrey Cappella.

Anniversary Card

I made this card for my aunt and uncle's anniversary which is New Year's Eve....for once I have it ready in advance. I thought this beautiful Amaryllis would be great for a December anniversary. Stamped and colored the Amaryllis with Copics and cut with Nesties. Used a sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs.

As Time Goes....

I have had a pocket watch stamp for quite awhile and have never used it so...when I saw this challenge  at Cute Card Thursday-Tic Toc-to see our creations that have been inspired by a clock or time, I knew it was time to ink it up. We can use a sentiment, an image, a clock shape...whatever sparks the imagination. My card turned out to be kind of  in the vintage style which seems appropriate enough.  I printed my sentiment on the computer.  I layered everything askew just to be different.
