Birds and Bows

Hello!  I am working from my Florida "studio" with limited resources so I am doubly challenged making cards for my blog.   Also I am still trying to locate a good spot for photographing my projects.  For this card,  I used a topper with birds and bows combined with snowflake and polka dot papers all with gold foil accents that are from a Luxury Card Kit called Festive Flourishes.   I attached these to a card base of blue cardstock and finished with ribbon and  bow of red organza with gold threads.  The sentiment tag was stamped with a Winnie and Walter sentiment and tied on with gold metallic ribbon.  This was a simple enough card and qualifies for the following challenges:

Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: Something beginning with B--used bows, bird, birdhouse, blue CS
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: #144 Bows
The Glory Of Christmas Challenge:  Spots and/or Stripes
ABC Christmas Challenge: Bows, Bunting,  or Baking. Used bows.
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes
Fab 'n' Funky: Challenge is Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra: Anything goes for Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Pattern Paper Challenge: Anything with Pattern Paper

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

James Decks The Halls for Christmas

Today I pulled out the Lili of the Valley stamp James Deck the Halls to play with.  I love all these LOTV Bears.  I stamped him on white CS with Memento Tuxedo Black and Colored with Copics E30,33,34,35, G0000,05, YG09, Y23,46, YG09, R22,24,27,C0.   I also used a Gold Glitter Pen, Gold Liquid Pearls, Silver Stickles, Wink of Stella, and Black Glaze pen.  I cut the image with a Nesties Circle die and placed on a Red Scalloped circle cut with Nesties Die.  Using a Red Card Base, I added a panel of Pattern Paper from American Crafts Hollyday pad and a Red Organza ribbon with Metallic Gold threads.  I topped the ribbon with Merry Christmas cut in Metallic Gold CS with Cheery Lynn Dies and finished with Red Rhinestones. I had made a red bow but decided to not add to keep card flat for mailing.  I do wish the sparkle and shine showed better on the photo, especially the silver tinsel.

Lots of Gold

I am back with a second post today.  Sorry, my photo does not show this card too well.  I made this for Annabelle Stamps November challenge with the theme of "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas".  I used stamp sets Stamped for Christmas and Decorated Christmas from Annabelle Stamps as well as her dies for the ornament and border.  Cardstocks used were Gold Metallic and Red from GKD. Versamark and Ranger Gold EP were used for the sentiment and Red EP was used on the ornament.  I finished with a shiny metallic ribbon and bow.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Lantern for Christmas Light

Hello!  Welcome to my studio.  The card today is for Speedy Fox and Friends challenge to use plaid.  I stamped the Lantern from MFP's Poinsettia Blooms in versamark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I colored the image with Copics YG8, R43, 46, 59 and G 99 for that rich gold.  I then fancy cut the lantern including the openings in the lantern.  I placed a piece of acetate under the openings to give a look of "glass". You may not can see in the photo but birl.  I used a Kraft card base and attached a mat of BasicGrey Plaid from Jovial collection lined in dark Brown CS.  I stamped the MFP's sentiment also with versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder. The lantern was attached with pop up dots for more dimension.
