Lot of White for Christmas

Hello! July is a good time to begin Christmas cards and I have a quick one made with 2 stamps from Hero Arts kit from October 2017. I used Memento inks Cottage Ivy and Lady Bug to stamp the tree and sentiment on heavy white cardstock.  Colored in the tree with markers and Gold Copics.  Added some sparkle, jewels and sequins for ornaments to finish.  Easy peasy!

Winter Scene

Hello!  I had fun making this card inspired by the Sketch #432(below) challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I pulled out Hero Arts October kit to create the scene using stamps and dies. Used blue CS for the skies and White CS for the other layers - the mountains were inked with Distress Oxide Iced Spruce ink.  The trees were cut from Green CS and the stamped reindeer was fussy cut.  I added snow to the sky, mountains and trees with Marvy Snow Marker. Spritzed the sky with Gold Shimmer mist. The sentiment from Creative Clear Stamps was inked with DO Faded jeans and filled in with Stardust pen for some glitter and shine.  Attached to Glossy White CS base.

The Train Is Leaving

Hello!  For the latest Mod Squad Challenge we are to Build a Scene.  I went back to the North Pole for my inspiration and created a scene with the Station and a train loaded with gifts leaving the station for places unknown.  Used Hero Arts stamps and dies from the October kit.  Created a background of a night sky and  layer of forest trees  for the village buildings.  Colored with Copics  and added snow with stickles. There is a lt of sparkle and texture on the card that I could not capture in the photo.

Here Comes Santa

Hello!  My card depicts a scene of Santa leaving on his annual trip with Mrs. Claus waving him on his way. The stamps and dies used are all from Hero Arts October kit.  For the Sky,  I used White CS
that absorbed some accidently spilled Metallic Blueberry Mist on my work desk.  The Mountain layer was cut from special paper included in the kit.  The die cut elements were all colored with Copics.  Added snow with Snow Maker.  This was a fun card to create.

Christmas Tree with Layers

Welcome!  Playing with the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches resulted in another Christmas Card for my stash.  For the focus,  I stamped and die cut  a Tree with Hero Arts products from the October Kit  and colored with Copics.  I used GKD Ivory and Grass Green CS, Pattern Paper from DCWV Christmas Basics pad, some gold satin ribbon, Cheery Lynn Die Cut words from Metallic Gold CS, and Pilot Metallic Gold Marker for edges to create the card.  I like this fresh green color for the Christmas theme.

More Christmas Tags

Hello!  Today I have more tags inspired by Emily's design on Tag You're It! Challenge #75.  I used a similar layout and shape for the tags as well as adding  Christmas Trees.  On one I used a tree die cut from green glitter paper with a bear stamp.  The second one features a stamped tree and gifts. Used stamps from Hero Arts October kit which are perfect sizes for use on tags.

Christmas Tag

Hello!  Today I have a tag that I made that was inspired by Emily's design on Tag You're It! Challenge #75.  I used a similar layout and shape for the tag as well as adding a Christmas Tree.  Used stamps from Hero Arts October kit which are perfect sizes for use on tags.  Colored with Copics and Gold Glitter pen. Added a sprig of greenery (plastic) and red and White Baker's Twine.  Spellbinder Scallop Square dies used.

Santa's Return to the North Pole

Hello!  Back to playing in the snow at the North Pole.  Created this scene with Hero Arts October kit using a dog sled, polar bear, and Santa flying in his sled.  The Mountain background was die cut and sponged with Distress Oxide ink and snow added with Marvy Snow Marker.  The shiny night sky  was made by accident when I spilled Metallic Blueberry Mist on my work desk.  I quickly grabbed some white CS to absorb the spill and now have shiny CS for several skies,  Foreground was made with torn Watercolor paper strips. Stamped the trees and sentiment and added the "Elf" house, sleigh,  sled and bear which were die cut.  Sign Post was fussy cut.  All coloring was done with Copics.  More snow added to trees with liquid pearls and to sky with Stardust Pen.  I imagine Santa is returning to his workshop since he is flying in that direction and the girl in the dog sled is headed there to welcome him home.

Visit to the North Pole

Welcome to snowy North Pole!  I created this scene with stamps and dies from Hero Arts October kit.  I began with a light blue card base and spritzed the top edge with Gold Shimmer Mist for a snowy sky.  The Mountain layer, die cut from White CS,  was sponged with Distress Oxide Ink Iced Spruce  and snow was added with Marvy Snow Marker (new for me).   Snow was also added to the "street" and  the die cut buildings colored with Copics.  Finished with sentiment, trees and lamppost.

Ornament for Christmas

Hello! Another Christmas card using stamps and a die from Hero Arts October kit.    I created an ornament cutting a circle from White CS and added fussy cut Christmas Carolers and a die cut House with the stamped Sentiment.  The ornament with a red and white gingham ribbon and bow was hung against a Glossy White background embossed with  Ornaments, Snowflakes and Stars using a Darice EF. Hope you can see the embossing in my photo.  Finished with Red card base.

Santa's Workshop

Hello!  This is a very different style card for me.  I created my vision of Santa's Workshop with stamps from Hero Arts October Kit and doing some fussy cutting.  The elves are working production style making cars of different colors and toys are stored on shelves against the wall awaiting delivery on Christmas Eve.  Used Red card base and a mat of Green CS to complete the card.  Coloring done with Copic markers.
