Cards That I Made

Hello! Hope everyone is healthy and coping with all that is going on in this troubled world.  I have been spending a lot of time in the studio but not posting much.  I have several cards to share.  I will begin with a card that was inspired by St. Patrick's Day, a truck die, and shamrocks.  It began with a leftover from making a background with acrylic paints that reminded me of a sunny day.  I die cut the truck with Cheapo Dies in green and silver card stocks and filled the bed with shamrocks cut with the cameo and from an assortment of metallic confetti. I assembled that on the background. I added the word Lucky cut with Cameo(Left from another project). I stamped the sentiment from Repeat Impressions with black ink.  I tore the edges of the image and attached to a green card base.

Another card that I made but not posted is shown above.  I used this month's free digital image from Beccy's Place to create the design with a digital check paper. I printed the color image of the pie but changed colors a bit before printing.  I stamped the sentiment from stash in black on white cs and matted it on black cs. Used a white layer and red card base to finish.

Birthday Pop Up Box

Hello!  I created this pop up box card for my Mother who celebrates her 98 birthday this month.  I used a variety of Silhouette files, die cuts, printed images, fussy cuts, clipart, chipboard numbers, and more to fill and decorate the box.  All papers including Yellow CS, Striped Pattern Paper, Glitter Paper, Gold Metallic CS, and White CS were from my stash.  Used Glossy Accents, Nail Heads , Gemstones,  and Stardust Pen to add accents.   This was a fun project to design and create.   The card does fold up and fit into a standard half card size envelope.

Inspired by the cake, candles, balloons and colors.

The Paper Girls Challenge:  #143 Glitter. Used glitter paper for die cuts and word and stardust Pen which is hard to see.

Nativity Lantern

Hello! Today I am entering this Christmas Lantern into the challenge at Merry Christmas Challenge #49 Anything Goes + Christmas with  the option Manger and also Scor-Pal More than One Score Challenge #44 Anything Goes Holiday/Christmas.  I used a Silhouette File with the Cameo to cut the project from Navy CS and scored the fold lines using Scor-Pal .  I prefer to not cut fold lines on the Cameo but use Scor-Pal to mark folds.

Star of David Lantern

Hello!  Today I am sharing a lantern that I made for my DH that he enjoyed during the eight days of Hanukkah.  I made this with my cameo using a Silhouette file.  I used Blue CS and Yellow Vellum and finished with Silver/Blue metallic ribbon. I used the Scor-pal for making the folds.  A LED tea light was used to light.

Christmas Lanterns

  

Hello!  Today I am sharing some paper lanterns that I made with my Cameo. The Christmas Tree design was made with Green CS and Red Vellum.  After cutting the design, I used my Scor-pal to score fold lines and assemble.  I like to remove the dotted lines (fold lines) on the Silhouette design before cutting to have smooth edges on the fold and therefore I use the Scor-pal.  I then add  I then add a LED tea light  and enjoy.   Another Lantern that I made was a Snowflake design using Blue CS and Blue Vellum.

Al's List to Santa

Hello!  I wanted to make a Santa card for the Challenge at Merry Monday Christmas and decided to use one of my files from Silhouette - Santa's face by Sarah Bailey.  I printed and cut the image and used it with an old pattern paper from Webster Pages Waiting for Santa pad.  I stamped a couple of sentiments from Hero Arts and wrote on the list to Santa for my DH.  Need to add Book to the list since there is one more line. Finished with a Green Card Base that matched the pattern. 

For fun, I added a little twinkle to Santa's eyes  with Clear Star pen.  Even without his hat, you know this is Santa.

Happy Hibiscus

Hello!  I really like this Happy Hibiscus card! The card was made with a Print and Cut file from Silhouette Studio that I printed and cut with my Cameo.  Attached the flower with foam tape to a background inked with Distress Oxide inks Fossilized   Amber and Spiced Marmalade and then a card base of Coral CS.  Added a stamen with Metallic pen and stamped a Power Poppy sentiment with Versamrk and heat embossed with Gold EP. Misted the background and flower with Gold Shimmer Mist.  Shows better in real life than in photo.
(Actually the background layer was a byproduct of making another background....just used the remaining inks from my craft mat with a white CS. )

A Moose in a Sleigh

Hello!  Thought I'd make a cute Christmas card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge -to use a Moose on your card.  I had this cute image in my Silhouette cut n print files from Stinky Cute.  The color was a bit off in the print out but I just found some pattern paper from Paper Sweeties paper pad that picked up the same hues.  I kind of like the final result.  I added some texture and sparkle to the image with Sukura Clear Star pen, Stickles Crystal, and Ranger Liquid Pearls. Also edged the sentiment with a glitter pen. I edged the image with a Red Copic marker-gives the look of another layer without the weight and attached to a mat of the pattern paper and then to a red card base.

Dresden Plate Christmas Cards

Where did November go??? It's December already!  Today I am sharing Christmas cards that I made for Mother (96 years young)  to send out for the holiday.  Since she is a talented quilt maker,  I chose a Dresden Plate design for her cards using a variety of Christmas Pattern Papers and Red and Green Cardstocks.  I stamped each card with an Annabelle stamp and Memento red ink.  I printed an inside verse on the White card base before assembling the cards. I cut all the "pattern pieces" using my Cameo and a Silhouette file (Snapdragon Snippets) and a scallop circle die(Center).  I embossed the designs with EF's. Photos below show individual cards.

These cards were truly a work of love as are all Mother's lovely quilts.  I am sharing a picture of a Baby Quilt that she made using a Dresden Plate design with quilt scraps for her youngest great-granddaughter.

Sailing Along

Hello!  I am rushing to enter this card into The Challenge #66 (graphic on right) with Masculine Inspiration  from Always Playing With Paper.  I used my Cameo to cut the boat and clouds using Silhouette files and used Copics to color elements. The sentiment is a Paper Pretties stamp and the boat name is a Winnie & Walter stamp. The pattern paper is from Graphics 45 By The Sea pad.  The number Thicker is American Crafts.

Raining Flowers

What began as a tag also ended up as a card!  I was toying with ideas for an April Shower theme and decided to cut an umbrella on my Cameo using a Silhouette file.  I cut all the pieces in white CS and used  as patterns to cut layers in Yellow Vellum and Floral Pattern paper.  I colored the handle and tip with Copics before assembling the umbrella.  I thought using the vellum as the top layer gave a glossy look to the umbrella and I loved how the floral colors showed through.  I cut the tag from Ivory CS and matted in Turquoise CS.  The sentiment from Creative Vision  What's Shaking? was stamped in Memento Teal Zeal.  I filled the umbrella with flowers that I fussy cut from another coordinating pattern and added the bow of Seam Binding tape to a punched hole on the tag.  I love using patterned papers.....they make a design come to life.

Playing with a challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches (below), I simply turned my tag into a card by using a panel of the same floral Pattern Paper as a layer that I embossed with Darice EF Flower Frenzy and attached it to a card base of the Turquoise CS.  I also completed the inside with another pattern paper edged and stamped with Memento Potter's Clay ink using the verse that completed the verse on the front. Pattern Papers are from MME Collectable pad.

Sparkling Lights

This Christmas card is bright and glittery and made with a Silhouette file of Christmas Lights cut from Black CS and Assorted Glitter Card stock.  I assembled the string of lights on an embossed (Divine Swirls) Glossy CS layered on pattern paper from Crate Paper.  The card base is more of the Glossy CS. Sentiment from Power Poppy was heat embossed with gold EP (looks green in photo?).

Yummy Cupcake with a Lot of Sunshine.

Hello!  The Photo image from the challenge at The Shabby Tea room has been stuck in my mind and I decided I just had to make a cupcake with yellow icing  for a card.  This is a very literal interpretation of the photo.  I cut out a cupcake from white CS using a Silhouette file on the Cameo.  I colored the stripes with Sakura Yellow glaze pen  and added "Icing" with a yellow Stickles and added glitter to that with Stickles yellow glue glitter. I attached the Cup Cake to a Pink Paislee  pattern paper from Color Wash pad and a base of White CS.  The sentiment from Power Poppy stamps was embossed with Wow California Sunshine EP.

Jacob Turns 4

Hello!  Today I have a fun card that I made for my great-nephew who celebrates his 4th Birthday this week.  He is such a super little boy that I had to make him a Super Hero Card.  I used Silhouette files and my Cameo to cut out the Super Hero Boy and Sentiment.  I used Photoshop to print Jacob's face to personalize his card. I used a Crate Paper pattern as the background for the image. I hope he thinks this is a Super card!
