Cards That I Made

Hello! Hope everyone is healthy and coping with all that is going on in this troubled world.  I have been spending a lot of time in the studio but not posting much.  I have several cards to share.  I will begin with a card that was inspired by St. Patrick's Day, a truck die, and shamrocks.  It began with a leftover from making a background with acrylic paints that reminded me of a sunny day.  I die cut the truck with Cheapo Dies in green and silver card stocks and filled the bed with shamrocks cut with the cameo and from an assortment of metallic confetti. I assembled that on the background. I added the word Lucky cut with Cameo(Left from another project). I stamped the sentiment from Repeat Impressions with black ink.  I tore the edges of the image and attached to a green card base.

Another card that I made but not posted is shown above.  I used this month's free digital image from Beccy's Place to create the design with a digital check paper. I printed the color image of the pie but changed colors a bit before printing.  I stamped the sentiment from stash in black on white cs and matted it on black cs. Used a white layer and red card base to finish.

Christmas Lights

Welcome!  Today I have another Christmas Card using an embellishment of Christmas lights from some old stash...not sure of the origin of this item.  I began with a Dark Green card base and added a layer of  embossed Creamy Glitter CS to which I attached the lights and words cut with Cheery Lynn Dies from Red Glitter CS.  Finished with some glittery ribbon also from old stash.

Hearts for CASE this Sketch

Hello!  Finally I have a holiday card other than a Christmas one.  Since it is almost February....were did January go???...I should give some time to Valentines.  I actually used some leftover hearts and red CS Scrap from other projects on this CAS card. I simply added a strip of Red CS embossed with Cuttlebug Divine Swirls to the top edge of a White Card Base and attached 2 small White Hearts with pop up dots and one larger Red Scalloped Heart edged with white (on upper edge).  The sentiment from Flourishes Love Sweet Love set was inked with Memento Lady Bug.  Actually the reds all match IRL but not so much in the photo.

Abstract by Accident, Not by Design

 

Morning!  As you may know, I love to color with my Copics.  Recently many of my Copics needed refilling with ink.  This is a messy job, at least for me since I tend to overfill the markers and have some runoff and drips.  With practice I may learn to avoid that.  But being frugal that I am,  I decided to catch that overflow ink on watercolor paper when I filled about 12 of the markers the other day.  The result was an abstract design that I used on this card.  I simply trimmed the paper that absorbed the inks and filled in some white spaces with Copic B0000.  I assembled a card using Sweet Sunday's Sketch pulling out colors from the design to use as the card base and layers.  The sentiment, stamped on the circle with SU Tempting Turquoise, is from Power Poppy Azaleas set.  I cut the word Happy with Cheery Lynn die from the blue and coral CS and layered to create dimension and depth. Finished with a splash of sequins that I have collected over the years.

Man in the Moon

I love to save Digital and Graphic images but I often forget that I have them.   When I was searching for an image to use in a challenge at Simon Monday Challenge "To the Moon", I came across this celestial Man In The Moon which reads  "I see the moon and the moon sees me! God bless the moon and God bless me." I teamed it up with some MME Pattern Paper, Yellow CS, Darice  EF, Stars cut with Sizzix die in gold glitter paper, and a Sketch from FUSION challenge to create this card.  I put some shine on the image with Clear Star pen but it does not show in the photo.  The art is from  PC Crafter, o longer in business.

Autumn Is A Second Spring

 

Hello!  It is certainly feeling and looking like Fall.  Today I am sharing a fall card using an old PSX leaf stamp from 2000 that was one of the first leaf stamps that I bought. I created the background layer using the emboss resist technique with Memento inks, Versamark, clear embossing powder and the leaf stamp.  Starting with a card base of orangey red, I layered a mat of Copper Metallic CS, and then the layer of leaves.  I finished with a Verse from GKD "A Year of Leaves" stamped with Versamark and embossed with Copper EP.   I matted this with a die cut of the Copper Metallic CS. Spellbinders Dies used for the verse and mat.

Christmas Ornament

Hello!  I am rushing to enter before the challenge at CAS(E) this sketch closes.  The sketch is shown on the right. I used a Sizzix Ornament die cut in red CS and gold glitter CS. The card base is a gold metallic CS layered with red CS inked with gold ink.  The sentiment was heat embossed with gold EP on a label cut with a Spellbinder fancy label die. Finished with a bit of metallic ribbon.
