A Box of Zinnias

Hello!  One of the challenges at Creative Confetti this month is All Boxed Up-put your image in a boxed shape/layout for graphic punch.  So what I did was to put an image of Zinnias in a box that I created with Patterned Paper. On white cardstock, I stamped the Zinnias from an older set designed by Marcella Hawley and colored with Copics.  Then I added my box that I designed from patterned paper and stamped the sentiment from the same set.  Finished with a card base of another patterned paper with glitter that coordinated with the box.

Challenges:
Creative Confetti Challenge: Always boxed up.
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: Always about using patterned paper.

Hugs for a Birthday

Hello! Found this pretty patterned paper from MME Now and Then pad and thought it would make a neat card.  It also reminded me of the photo challenge at Just Us Girls shown below.  I trimmed the paper to a card size and stamped sentiments from  Doodled Flowers set from Happy Little Stampers using DOI Abandoned Coral . I embossed the paper with Darice embossing folder. Finished with a coral mat and white card base.

Playing with the Negative of a Die Cut

Hello!  Today I used the negative space of a die cut to create a card. I adhered pattern paper under the floral portions of the cut out of white CS and then placed on to a green card base.  Added dots of yellow CS and  Glossy Accents to the centers of the flowers.  To finish I used a strip of striped paper and the die cut of Hello with Hello stamped with Versamark and embossed with White EP.

Twofer Challenge

Welcome!  There is an exciting new card challenge in Blogland!
Darnell has created a new Twofer Card Challenge - we are to make two different card designs for two different occasions using the same stamps and/or dies.  This looks to be a fun challenge.

I have been anticipating the first challenge and Challenge #1 is Feathers.  I was excited by this theme since I have a new stamp set Wise Owl by Jane's Doodles which has some great Feather stamps which I was anxious to use.  My first card was a CAS design featuring a feather used as a quill to write the words Happy Birthday (Gina K stamp).  I used Memento Tuxedo Black, London Fog, Desert Sand and Love Letter inks for stamping and heat embossed with Clear EP.  Finished with Black card base.

For the next card, I stamped feathers with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White EP on White CS.  I sponged this with Fired Brick Distress Oxide ink and cut with an Oval die and placed on a Scalloped Oval of White CS. I attached to a panel of MME pattern paper from Chalk Studio pad and to a white card base.  Finished with Gina K sentiment heat embossed with White EP and some enamel dots.
Note: I received the Wise Owl set as part of a prize that I won from Jane's Doodles for the Caring Hearts Card Drive.

Other Challenges:
AAA Cards: Game #106 Be inspired by the Quote- Let today be the start of something new. Used new stamps and entered new challenge.
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says use Patterned Paper
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: January About Anything with Patterned Paper
Use Your Stuff: #294 Use something new. Used new feather stamps.

Thanks to Darnell and her team for the new challenge!

Vase of Tulips

Welcome!  Today I have a card made for the WIW Color Challenge at The House That Stamps Built. We are to use Red, Turquoise, Black and White.  I stamped Repeat Impressions Vase Of Tulips with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the tulips and leaves with Copics.  Instead of green leaves, I took artistic license and made them shades of turquoise.  I paper pieced the vase with some MME patterned paper.  I stamped a portion of a RI sentiment and dry embossed a border at the bottom of the image panel.  Finished with a Turquoise card base and a mat of Black CS.

Raining Flowers

What began as a tag also ended up as a card!  I was toying with ideas for an April Shower theme and decided to cut an umbrella on my Cameo using a Silhouette file.  I cut all the pieces in white CS and used  as patterns to cut layers in Yellow Vellum and Floral Pattern paper.  I colored the handle and tip with Copics before assembling the umbrella.  I thought using the vellum as the top layer gave a glossy look to the umbrella and I loved how the floral colors showed through.  I cut the tag from Ivory CS and matted in Turquoise CS.  The sentiment from Creative Vision  What's Shaking? was stamped in Memento Teal Zeal.  I filled the umbrella with flowers that I fussy cut from another coordinating pattern and added the bow of Seam Binding tape to a punched hole on the tag.  I love using patterned papers.....they make a design come to life.
Playing with a challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches (below), I simply turned my tag into a card by using a panel of the same floral Pattern Paper as a layer that I embossed with Darice EF Flower Frenzy and attached it to a card base of the Turquoise CS.  I also completed the inside with another pattern paper edged and stamped with Memento Potter's Clay ink using the verse that completed the verse on the front. Pattern Papers are from MME Collectable pad.
