Pop Goes the Peony!

Another post for today!  I've been spending a little time in the studio...cloudy outside today.  I created this card for the challenge at Creative Confetti - to color up the background to make your flower pop.  I used a colored textured cardstock for my background for the Peony that I stamped, colored, and fussy cut. The flower and leaves stamps from Power Poppy Peony Muse set were inked with Distress Oxide inks Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint and stamped on to White CS(used masking when stamping the leaves under the flower).  Colored in the image with Copics. Arranged yellow and  red panels on a green card base. Attached the flower and the sentiment ( Power Poppy Dahlias set) that I heat embossed with Red EP on a scrap of yellow and layered with scrap of green. I don't often mix pink and red but thought this combo really popped!

A Peony for A Birthday

Welcome!  Switching off to making some birthday cards but still doing Christmas cards.  I created this design for the Creative Confetti Challenge Free For All - to create anything  you desire using Power Poppy stamps.  I pulled out one of my favorites Power Poppy clear stamp sets Peony Muse and stamped the smaller peony with Memento Pink ink (heat embossed with Clear EP) and the leaves and stems with Memento Green Ink.  I colored the image with Copics and used a White Pencil for some highlights. I trimmed the image with an Oval die and cut a mat from Gold Metallic CS with a Scallop Oval die. I attached this at an angle on to DCWV patterned stripe paper with gold foil accent stripes.  Added a White Organdy Ribbon with Gold Threads and attached die cut words cut from Pink CS with Cheery Lynn Dies.  Added some sparkle to the words with Sakura Clear Star pen. Finished with a card base of heavy weight white cardstock.

Get That Glow

Hello!  I made this card for the Get The GLOW challenge at Power Poppy.   I used stamps from Power Poppy Peony Muse set.   The flower, stem, and leaves were stamped with Memento London Fog ink and colored with Copics with some high lighting with pencils. I stamped the sentiment with 3 inks before I got the color that I wanted (SC Rose Regal, DOI Worn Lipstick, DOI Fossilized Amber. Luckily I did that in the Misti. Trimmed the image and layered with a distressed looking Patterned Paper from Blank Canvas and attached to a Yellow card base.  Kept it simple to let the glow shine.

Redo of Teacup Card

Hello!  The current challenge at Double D is Tea and/or Coffee.  I remembered a Teacup Card that I made years ago from a template that I still have.   I thought I would remake the shaped card but use a newer design.  I began with a Shimmery Pink CS for the base of the cup...the card folds at the top of the cup. I added some embossing to the lip and base of the cup.  On white CS, I stamped Power Poppy stamps from the Peony Muse set using a Peony and Branches.  Memento inks were used and I embossed the flower with Clear EP to give a porcelain look.(LBIRL)  The white layer was embossed with CB Kassie's Brocade EF.  This was trimmed using the template and attached to the cup.  With a string, I attached  a tea bag that was made with pink vellum over a tag stamped with a sentiment from Power Poppy.  A personalized  message will be written inside.
