Black and White Christmas

Hello!  I was playing with the Monthly Mix challenge at Stamp TV Holiday in Black and White and created 2 cards with Gina K Designs stamps.  The top CAS card features the ornament from Merry and Bright set and sentiment from Holiday Wreath Builder.  Stamping was done with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and heat embossed with Clear EP. Added several Black Gem stones to complete the card.  Other supplies: Black and White CS, Nesties Circle Dies.

The background of this card was stamped using GKD Music Background.  I attached the background to a black mat and a white card base.  The sentiment was from Merry and Bright set.  Used the same inks, embossing powder, and papers as above with oval dies.

Candy Cane Ornament

Hello!  I was playing Tic-Tac-Toe at The House That Stamps Built and created this Christmas Card using Repeat Impressions stamps from the Snow Globe Series.  I used the diagonal row of Sponging, Texture, and Twine-- I sponged the white card base with DOI Fired Brick before attaching a mat of red CS and the ornament,  but it almost looks like a solid cardstock  in the photo.  The texture is from the heat embossed sentiment, the heat embossed candy canes,  and the metallic gold die cut circle.  I was attempting to create an ornament with the Candy Cane edged in gold,  but it almost looks like one of those ornaments made with a Mason Jar lid.  Finished with a Red Metallic Twine and Bow to hang the ornament.

Two For Christmas

Hello!  I made 2 Christmas cards with the Christmas Bauble die from Marianne. I cut twice --from Gold Metallic CS and Red CS.   For the top card I used the gold negative pieces with the Red Ornament. Glued to a White CS panel with a Red Organdy Ribbon, added Gold Metallic Mat and White card base. Finished with Gina K sentiment stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold EP.

For the second card,  I simply glued the Gold ornament with a Gold Metallic ribbon to a Red card base.  Added glitter to the ornament with Sakura Clear Star pen.  Stamped the Gina K sentiment with Verrsamark and heat embossed with Silver EP.  Added a shadow to the words with the Clear Star Pen.  Two more cards for my holiday stash.

Embossed Impressions

Hello!  Today I was playing with a technique doing embossed impressions using a die with Versamark to make an impression on CS and then heat embossed with EP.  I saw this technique on a Jennifer McQuire video and just had to try it.  It is easier to watch how to do this than explain it in words.  I used an Ornament die to make my impression and created this holiday card.
Supplies: Die Marianne Christmas Bauble; Stamp Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament; Versamark Ink; Zing Metallic Silver EP; Blie CS, White CS, Silver Metallic CS; White Satin Ribbon; Sakura Metallic Silver Pen.

Challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: #304 Use a sentiment.
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra: October Anything goes Christmas
Winter Wonderland: Christmas Challenge Frosty or Wrapped Up. Used Cold Colors of Blue and Silver.
Allsorts Challenge: Week 386 Sparkle and Shine

I am not going into details on how hard it was to get a good photo of this card but was happy with this one after doing a lot of editing on Photoshop to get the colors correct.

Pink and Silver

Hello!  I am back with another Pink and Silver Christmas card using some leftovers from yesterday's card.  To this card, I added an embossed layer of Silver Metallic CS which I wrapped the center with Pink Vellum so the attached ornament would shown better.   I've included 2 photos to show from different angles.  It is so difficult to capture Metallic CS without glare.
Supplies Used: Marianne Christmas Bauble Die; Pink CS, Silver CS, Vellum;
Card & Papercraft Embossing Border(freebie with magazine); Silver Twine; Fun Foam.

Another Quick Christmas Card

Hello!  I am back using some of the same things that I just used in another CAS card.  I cut the Marianne's Christmas Bauble die with some Metallic Gold Card Stock and also with light blue CS.  I used the gold outline from the die and the blue pieces  to create an ornament.  I again cut Merry Christmas from a Metallic Gold Scrap with Cheery Lynn Dies. I added these with some light blue satin ribbon to a Navy Card Base. This was a quick and simple CAS Christmas card.  And I have pieces left to create another ornament.

Never Too Early for Holiday Cards

Hello!  I am using some more of the things that I have on hand to make this CAS card for some challenges.  I used Marianne's Christmas Bauble die that I got last year and have never used.  I simply cut Metallic Gold Card Stock with the die and left it intact to stick on a Gold edged White CS and then stuck on "Merry Christmas" cut from a Metallic Gold Scrap with Cheery Lynn Dies. Attached this all to a White card base.
Other supplies used: Shiny Gold Metallic Ribbon, Pilot Gold Marker Pen

Peace on Earth

As promised, I am back with another Ornament Christmas card using Blue and Silver.  Again I was inspired by the challenges at Merry Monday and Simon Says.   I featured only one ornament stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Silver EP on DCWV Blue Foil CS.  Stamps are from Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament set.  I cut out the Ornament and attached to a White Glossy CS embossed with Cuttlebug Forest Branches.  I added a Silver Pine Branch cut with Impression Obsession die and some Blue Ribbon.   This was attached to a White Card Base and a mat of the Blue Foil CS.

I dressed it up with a lot of sparkle and shine using Gold Metallic CS, Gold Metallic Pen, Gold Jelli-pen, Glittery CS's, Ribbon with Gold Metallic Threads, Clear-star Pen and Wink of Stella Pen.  I also used Darice EF Chevron to give texture to the Gold Metallic Background and Die Cuts and Punches for the shiny flower.

Timeless Tuesday Ornament

Side 2

Side 1

Hello! Today I am showing a ornament that I made for the challenge at Timeless Tuesday #139.  The challenge is to make a Christmas card that either features an ornament, or create an ornament. I decided to make an ornament using Flourishes' Alleluia Angel stamp set. I began by cutting 2 circles from Gold Metallic CS with Spellbinders Lacey Circle dies. To each of these I attached a Red Circle cut with Classic Circle dies. On White CS, I stamped the angel twice with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold EP. I added some sparkle with Sakura Clear Star pen and color with Copic E00. I cut each with a circle die smaller than the red circle. I edged each with Gold Pilot Marker. I attached an image circle atop the red circles.   I then glued the two finished sides together so the ornament may be presented from either side. I attached red jewels on one side and pearls on the other. I tied red ribbon to hang on the tree.
Wishing you a happy weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.
