Bokeh Card with Watercoloring

Welcome!  I had so much fun making my first card with the Bokeh technique that I had to do another one but this time I used water coloring instead of sponging. On a panel of watercolor paper, I wet the paper with water using a brush and then dropped in colors with a water brush using Candied Apple, Lucky Clover, and Cracked Pistachio DOI until the panel was to my liking  This card has colors that contrast more than in my first attempt at Bokeh technique which was more monochromatic.  I then used my homemade template of circles with Hero Arts White ink and a dauber to create the Bokeh effect.  This is really fun to do as you watch the outcome of the design.  I decided to tear the edges of the finished panel to use a smaller section that I attached to a card base of GKD Grass Green CS, added a die cut of a branch with leaves, and stamped a sentiment from GKD  Whimsical Wildflowers set with GKD Fresh Asparagus ink.   I added some texture by embossing the lower part of the card with Cuttlebug EF Gingham Border.
I like the feeling of movement on this card that resulted from the Bokeh circles, the torn edges, the spreading branch, and the font in the sentiment.  It all seems to flow together.

Oopsy Daisy!

Hello! Today my card features daisies.  I was inspired by both the sketch and graphic shown below in the Fusion challenge.  I stamped a trio of Daisies (Mark's Finest Papers stamp) with Memento Toffee Crunch ink on white CS and fussy cut the flowers. Assembled the card using patterned papers from Graphics 45 Secret Garden pad on a white card base.  Embossed the blue panel with a Darice EF.  Die cut the open circle(Lawn Fawn Dies) and leaves (Sizzix Dies) from Green paper from the same pad. Stamped a Power Poppy sentiment on Vellum circle.  Assembled all the elements following the sketch. Added some Yellow Flower Soft to center of daisies.Note: Daisies are also on the yellow paper.

Out In the Galaxy

Hello! I'm out in the galaxy!   The background of my card was actually the result of an accident. Sometime ago, I spilled a bottle of Hero Arts Metallic Blueberry Mist and quickly grabbed some cardstock to absorb it and ended up with several panels for backgrounds.  On this piece I sponged on some Distress Oxide Inks including Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans and Wilted Violet. The result was perfect for a card for the current Fusion Challenge Galaxy.  Added some stars with a White Gel Pen and Clear star pen.  On a strip of clear vellum, I stamped a Hero Arts sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with Silver EP.  Die cut stars from Gold and Silver metallic CS with Sizzix die.  Embossed the top star with Swiss dots EF for some more texture. Assembled all the elements on a Silver Metallic card base following the sketch on the  Fusion graphic below.

Winter Tag

Hello!  I made a tag with a snowflake theme that can be for Christmas or Hanukkah or any winter gift.  I used a Sizzix Snowflake die with a textured specialty paper from a Hero Arts kit.  Stamped a Gina K stamp with versamark and white EP on a tag cut from textured blue CS, added the snowflake and a gold ribbon.

Waves of Blue and Silver

Hello! I am back with this card that I made for a sketch challenge and also for a color challenge.  I used Distress Oxide Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean inks and Versamark with Silver EP to create my waves.  Then I added  some Snowflakes cut from Silver Metallic CS with a Sizzix die.  Finished with GKD sentiment stamped in Distress Oxide Ink.

Hello!   I made a couple of non-traditional colored cards  using some pattern papers from stash and die cuts.  The one above is made with a Sizzix Snowflake die and stamped with an Annabelle Stamps sentiment. The one below uses a Cuttlebug Ornament die.

Winter Snowflakes

Welcome!  Winter is very much here.....more snow yesterday and  frigid temperatures in the single digits.  There are several challenges for winter and / or white that have inspired me to make this card.   I always have memories of past winter and thought this was an appropriate sentiment for my snowy winter card.  I could use this to send greetings for Christmas, winter, anniversary, or even a birthday. 
Supplies used: Repeat Impressions Stamps Happy set, Cardstocks(3) - White Textured. Glossy, and Neenah,  Versamark ink, Zing Silver EP, Darice EF Snowflakes, Sizzix Snowflakes Die, Pilot Silver Marker, Foam Circles to pop up snowflakes.

Oh My Stars

 



Hello!  I am still stuck on CAS cards which I can whip up quickly.  I created this for a few challenge using some items I had laying on my desk.  I layered the stars cut with a Sizzix die and a metal brad on a die cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle and attached to a base of red CS.  The sentiment from GKD Stippled Nature and the Curved Line are with Brilliance Moonlight White ink. Looks BIRL.

Manly Birthday Card

Welcome! Today I am using the sketch shown on the right for a second card to create a birthday card with a more manly look.  I interpreted the sketch very literally.  I cut a star from gold glitter paper with a Sizzix die and used Cheery Lynn dies for the words Happy Birthday. I used Pattern Papers from MME Market St Pad.  My DH said the stars and stripes looked very manly.

Gift Boxes with Winter Theme

Stack of 5 Gift Boxes

 Second Post today.
I am back with another last minute Christmas project.  I made these boxes that can be used for cash, gift cards or even lottery tickets using a Silhouette cut file.  I made 5 to be used for cash and found they also can hold some candy beneath the insert. I cut the bands and inserts from red CS using the Cameo.  I cut a pattern for the box and cover and then cut them manually to better use the paper and I like to score these parts using my Scor-pal.  The top panel was printed but could have been stamped just as well but I did the quickest way.  I used Sizzix die to cut Snowflakes from Silver Metallic CS to finish.

I used dollars bills for the photo but plan to  fill with larger denominations.
