Embossed Impressions
Hello! Today I was playing with a technique doing embossed impressions using a die with Versamark to make an impression on CS and then heat embossed with EP. I saw this technique on a Jennifer McQuire video and just had to try it. It is easier to watch how to do this than explain it in words. I used an Ornament die to make my impression and created this holiday card.
Supplies: Die Marianne Christmas Bauble; Stamp Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament; Versamark Ink; Zing Metallic Silver EP; Blie CS, White CS, Silver Metallic CS; White Satin Ribbon; Sakura Metallic Silver Pen.
Challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: #304 Use a sentiment.
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra: October Anything goes Christmas
Winter Wonderland: Christmas Challenge Frosty or Wrapped Up. Used Cold Colors of Blue and Silver.
Allsorts Challenge: Week 386 Sparkle and Shine
I am not going into details on how hard it was to get a good photo of this card but was happy with this one after doing a lot of editing on Photoshop to get the colors correct.
Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa

Playing with a Dove
Hello! I have been "experimenting" with different versions of a Christmas card made with a Cottage Cutz Dove cut out that I have had a number of years. These cards were very quick to make....it took me longer to find where the die was in my studio than it did to make all the cards.
The top card has the blue card base with a layer of watercolor paper that I sponged with DI Tumbled Glass. The Dove was cut from plain white CS. The Power Poppy sentiment is stamped with DI Broken China.
The second card is the same as the first but I added the sprig of green cut with the same die.
Challenges to enter:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: #256 Theme is Things with wings
Addicted to CAS: #77 Dimension....Dove popped up for dimension.
AAA Cards: Game #53 Anything Goes
CAS on Sunday: #72 Make a CAS Christmas card
The Glory Of Christmas: #72 CAS
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: #181 Blue and White with Texture. The bottom card has the most texture of the ones shown.
Shopping Our Stash: #229 No stamping.
Bottom card has absolutely no stamping.
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says Christmas
This third card has the same card base but the white layer is White CS that I water colored with DI Tumbled Glass. I like the background that this made for the Dove cut from Watercolor paper which has a nice texture. I stamped this card with a Spellbinders sentiment also in the DI Broken China.
I am not sure why I water colored on the plain CS but sponged ink on the watercolor paper. It seems I should have done that in reverse but I liked the results. Maybe the next time I will do that.

The bottom card is with a White Card base and a Blue CS layer embossed with CB EF Divine Swirls. The Dove is cut from a White Textured CS and centered on the card. All Doves where attached with pop up tape. I think using foam cut with the die would work really well but I do not have any white foam. The sentiment Peace on Earth was cut from an embossed border of Glossy White CS with Christmas words. No stamping on this card.

Deck the Halls
Hello!! I'm baacck with another Christmas card....took a break from holiday cards but I had to make this for the Merry Monday challenge to use Red, Green, and White. I chose a pattern paper from American Crafts Hollyday pad and stamped an Ornament and Sentiment from Spellbinders set Heirloom Ornament with Versamark and heat embossed with Red EP. Used Red Card base and a mat of Green CS and Clear Star pen for sparkle.
Challenge:
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: Bonnie asked us to use Red, Green, and White.
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge: Anything Goes
Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge: Free is Good. Use something you got for free. The Spellbinders Stamp was a free gift in a magazine that my DH gave me for Christmas last year.
Addicted to Stamps and More: Challenge is Holiday
This card reminded me of a childhood memory of participating in a Spelling Bee Contest. The word that eliminated me was ORNAMENT. I think of that experience whenever I write the word.
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

Peace on Earth
As promised, I am back with another Ornament Christmas card using Blue and Silver. Again I was inspired by the challenges at Merry Monday and Simon Says. I featured only one ornament stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Silver EP on DCWV Blue Foil CS. Stamps are from Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament set. I cut out the Ornament and attached to a White Glossy CS embossed with Cuttlebug Forest Branches. I added a Silver Pine Branch cut with Impression Obsession die and some Blue Ribbon. This was attached to a White Card Base and a mat of the Blue Foil CS.
Challenges:
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: #134 Create a card with Ornaments in silver/gray and blue. I am not sure if I can enter another card but will try.

Blue and Silver Ornaments
Hello! I was really inspired by the Merry Monday challenge this week. I immediately began my card by gathering Silver Metallic CS, DCWV Blue Foil CS, and Glossy White CS. I cut Pine branches with Impression Obsession die and stamped the Ornaments with Spellbinders Heirloom set using Versamark and Silver EP. I fussy cut the Ornaments and arranged all the elements on a White Card Base using Blue Satin Ribbon to hang the ornaments attached with Pop-Up Dots. My DH helped me decide the layout. I love the shine and sparkle of my card.
Challenges:Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: Wendy asked us to create a Christmas card with ornaments in silver/gray & blue.
Creative Corner Challenge: It's beginning to look like Christmas.
Clear It Out Challenge: Theme-Anything Goes. Stash -Use 3 of the same thing. I used 3 ribbons, 3 ornaments.

Re-Make of an Earlier Design
Hello! Today I am using some ornaments I did not use as I had intended. I had stamped these on watercolor paper and embossed with white EP and water colored with Distress inks but I accidently got some ink on the card and decided to fussy cut the ornaments and attached to White CS and then a mat of Blue CS and a Card base of white. I used Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament set and water colored with Distress Inks Picked Raspberry, Broken China, and Wild Honey. I added some colorful ribbon to finish.
Challenges:
Less Is More: Color challenge is Non-traditional Christmas Card
Christmas Cards All Year 'Round: Challenge is no pattern paper
Crafty Ribbons Challenge: #106 Christmas Creation with Ribbon
I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

More Sparkle and Shine
Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. I did some card making and played with some metallic items and watercolors to come up with this Christmas card. Using Versamark and Gold EP, I stamped and heat embossed 3 Ornaments from Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament set on watercolor paper. I then water colored with Distress Inks Picked Raspberry, Broken China, and Wild Honey which gives a glassy look to the ornaments. I added some Metallic Gold Cord (GKD) to the images and matted with a blue CS from stash and attached to the Gold Metallic Card Base. Easy and quick! Another card for my holiday stash!

Merry and Bright Christmas
Second Post Today
Yes, I am still making Christmas cards. This is for the challenge at Crafty Hazelnut and uses the sketch from Sketch Saturday. Using a Sizzix ornament die, I cut twice from Red CS and Gold glitter paper. Actually this gave me 2 ornaments with colors reversed. The card with the other ornament is posted here. I attached a layer of pattern paper from Crate Paper Peppermint Pad onto a card base of Red CS. I layered a Red Circle, a panel of Gold Glitter, a panel of Polka Dot Paper also from the Peppermint Pad and then popped up the Ornament. Added some glitter ribbon to the ornament. Using Versamark and Gold EP, I heat embossed a sentiment from Spellbinders Stamp Set Heirloom Ornaments on a red strip cut with a Spellbinders die.
