Hello! Another cold and cloudy day here in Ohio. I am sharing another card for St. Patrick's day that I made using Power Poppy digitals stamps from the Wish You Luck set. I printed both the image and sentiment on white cardstock and colored with Copics. I added some green satin ribbon and pink sequins to the card before attaching to a Green card base.
I have so many favorite flowers and one of them is beautiful Sunflowers... big glorious colorful ones. I am not sure if they are considered summer or fall but they are great for transitioning into the fall season. I created this card using 2 digital images from Power Poppy Sunflower Power set that I arranged and printed on white card stock. I added a frame so that the image was in and out of the frame.....did with a Black Pen and a straight edge. (I tried to add the frame using Photoshop Elements the way that Julie did for her challenge but I gave up and took an easy way.) I colored the image with Copics. I stamped a sentiment from Power Poppy Peony Muse set with Versamark and first heat embossed with Chestnut EP. Then I did a second embossing with Gold Metallic EP because I did not have enough contrast between the frame and the words. I like the results and also glad that I stamped the sentiment so that it was also in and out of the frame. Finished with a card base of GKD Faded Brick CS. My DH said this card was "strong".

The recent challenge at Creative Confetti Challenge is to use a creation of your own to inspire a "mini" version. I chose to be inspired by arecent card (shown below) that I made using Power Poppy Apple in Season digital stamp. I resized and printed one of the images of the Apples on white cardstock and colored with Copics. I trimmed this to 4"x 4", inked the edges with a Pilot Gold Metallic Marker and attached to a Green Card Base 4.5"x 4.5". The sentiment from another Power Poppy digital stamp was printed the same time that I printed the image.

Hello! I have created another one of the Slim Line cards that are trending now. I resized and printed digitals images and a sentiment from Power Poppy Apple in Season set on white cardstock. I colored the images with Copics using some pencils for highlights. I trimmed this to 3.75" x 8.75" and inked the edges with a Pilot Gold Metallic Pen. I attached this a white card base 4" x 9". I really like how my coloring turned out....looks even better in real life.

Hello! I finally got around to making a slim-line card that seems to be trending so much now. I used to make this shape and size of card years ago when I first began making cards on the computer before I began stamping. I used Power Poppy digital stamps from the Black-Eyed Susan set. I resized and printed the image and sentiment on heavy white cardstock and colored with Copics. I love these flowers and mine will soon be blooming in the garden. I inked the edges with a brown marker and simply attached to a Green GKD card stock as the base.
Hello! Are you feeling lucky? I have been creating some St. Patrick's Day cards. This one uses a digital image and sentiment from Power Poppy Wish You Luck. I printed the image on a background of shamrock digital paper (unknown) from my files. I then colored the image with Copic Markers ( a favorite technique) and added some metal confetti and 3 pearls. I attached this to a white card base ( at a slight angle) that I edged with Gold Glitter gel.
Hello! Today I have a CAS card that features a Rose, a digital image from Power Poppy, that I printed on white card stock and colored with Copics. Simply stamped the word Hello with Black ink. Made this and 3 other note cards shown below in 3.5" x 5" size. Colored 2 with copics, one with pencils, and water colored one with DOI. Might use the set for a gift.

Welcome to my studio! I recently received Power Poppy Shamrock-n-Roll digital images and sentiments. These stamps are perfect for St. Patrick's Day cards. I created 2 cards using the same stamps on both cards. For the above card I printed the no line image on White CS with the sentiment that I colored green before printing. I colored the image with Copic Markers and added some Flower Soft Raspberry Fizz to the clover and tied on a bit of Raffia to give texture and dimension. Adhered the trimmed image to a Pattern Paper background and then to GKD Grass Green card base.
For the second card I printed the image on white cardstock and colored with different Copic Markers. I trimmed the image with a Spellbinders die and inked the edges with a Pink Copic. I used Crushed Velvet Flock to add texture to the bloom and tie. Have not used this product or the Flower soft in ages but it does add a nice touch of texture. The flocking does not show up in the photo but looks good in real life. I printed the Power Poppy sentiment on a panel of pattern paper and assembled the card with a White Cardstock base.
Hello! Today I am playing with the Creative Confetti Challenge Life Imitating Art to be inspired by a work of fine art. I chose an art print by Georgia O'Keefe called The White Calico Flower for my inspiration (shown below). I created my design by using Power Poppy digital images Ultimate Poppy (no lines version) and Juicy Straw Berries (just the leaves ). Using Photoshop Elements I manipulated the images and printed portions of the images against a background of green leaves on white card stock and trimmed to fit on a mat of black card stock and then attached to a white card base. I added more gray color to the flower with Copic Markers. The end result closely copied the art work in layout and colors. I finished by attaching a plastic Happy Birthday sticker from my stash. This does not show very well in the photo because of the glare.
I made a second card using the same design but printed it in a lighter tone...do not like it as well as the first try. I again used Gray Copic Markers to add more color. I inked the edges of the image with Black Copic after trimming and simply attached to the white card base. I used a rub on sticker Thank You to finish. So I have 2 cards to add to my stash. And used up some of my Sticker Stash.
Welcome! I was playing with Power Poppy digital images from the Merriest Berries set (which I have never used) and came up with a couple of one layer cards. I printed the images and sentiments on GKD heavyweight white card stock which is perfect for coloring with Copics because there is absolutely no bleeding on this paper. And that makes for a great luxury weight card. I used Glossy Accents on the berries for some shine and texture. I also used Sakura Clearstar and Gel pens on the thread in the ribbon but those elements do not show well in the photos. But the richness, shine, and texture shows great in real life on what I think are very elegant CAS cards.

Hello! Today I have made a card with a geometric shape (square) as the focal point and a frame on my card. I am showing 2 versions of the same card with 2 different sentiments. I printed the Camellia digital image from Power Poppy on white CS and colored with copics. I simply attached to a Grass Green card base and added the die cut squares printed with Sentiments also from Power Poppy. I think I prefer the top card with the more narrow frame.
This card will be entered in the Creative Confetti Challenge at Power Poppy-Get in Shape.
